As a former dancer, I sincerely appreciate this studio, the teachers, and the entire dance philosophy. As very young dancers, students learn the love of dance and movement and dance through play. As they get older, play is reduced and more technique is brought in. That is not to say the older kids don't have any fun, though. Through Ballet 2, students still play with props, but in a way that encourages the learning of new movements (think wax on, wax off only for ballet!). Ballet is taught as the basics and foundation of other dance forms, and older students can add in other dance forms. There is also a great feeling just bringing your children to the school. You can watch your younger children dance, as they are in a classroom with a large window for parents to look through), so you never feel like you don't know what they are learning or how they are doing. The teachers will answer questions and have often stayed late to do so. I have personally taken some of the adult classes as well, and I highly recommend them! Right now, they're trying to get some of us former dancers back into form, and it's fantastic.

My husband and daughter realized the hard way that we were not receiving emails from the school about half way into our second semester when every kid in class was told to wear Halloween costumes and ours was not prepared. We were told it's our fault and not theirs, "must be your spam folder" except neither my husband nor I have anything ever from them except a receipt of payment. We'll once again the school didn't communicate with us that they were going to be closed. I even spoke with the teacher via email the week before. I went through the whole website, and it said nothing about being closed. We structured our holiday weekend around her class and wake her up early to drive the extra distance from Ashburn. The school is NOT worth $325 + a 25 min commute. Will not be returning, but since we were invisible to them to begin with after 2 seasons enrolled, I doubt this feedback will even be recognized.

Both are…read moresome of the best ballroom dance teachers I've ever worked with: they have an extensive knowledge of dance, and yet keep all lessons fun and engaging. The dance classes I've taken with them (which have involved everything from ballroom fundamentals to rhythm/Latin dancing and even some occasional ballet-type training) have been consistently top notch. Better still, they genuinely care about their students' dancing: you can tell that they spend a lot of time outside of the studio thinking about how to help their students succeed. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, from people with no dance experience whatsoever to experienced DanceSport competitors. Daria and Kirill's new studio, Loudoun School of the Arts, is just as amazing as they are. It's massive, bright, clean, and really conveniently-located, making it ideal for anyone in Northern Virginia. Loudoun School of the Arts is also more than a dance studio: it hosts a wide variety of art, dance, and exercise classes, meaning that it feels far more active and diverse than other dance studios in the area. I have absolutely no doubt that Loudoun School of the Arts is going to become a powerhouse, both in terms of the dance world as well as in terms of providing fantastic art classes in Northern Virginia.

I have seen firsthand their love, joy, and passion for dance, the arts, and most of all their students. They are not only incredibly talented professional dancers and artists, but they are also such genuine people who pour their hearts into everything they do. I've watched their dream of opening this school grow from just an idea to now seeing it as a beautiful and vibrant place for kids and adults to learn, create, and be inspired. They are a true dynamic duo and it's so obvious how much they love this work. I've seen them return from competitions absolutely glowing, talking about their students' commitment and accomplishments, and it is impossible not to be inspired by the way they celebrate and support every single person they teach. What makes this school so special is that it's not just another business or a cookie cutter franchise. This is their heart and their life's work. They are dedicated to providing structure, excellence, and accessibility to anyone who walks through their doors, whether it's children just starting out, adults returning to a passion, or professionals wanting to grow their skills. The programs they've built offer something for everyone: dance, art, music, and design all in one place, making creativity and community more accessible than ever in Loudoun. I feel so lucky to have witnessed up close how much they care for their own children as well as every student they teach. They are exceptional parents, dancers, teachers, and visionaries who have created something truly unique for our community. Loudoun County is beyond blessed to have this school and to have Daria and Kirill leading it. If you're even considering signing up for a class, do it. They have pole classes and Lyra and fabric - super fun! They may have more, but those are the ones I've seen and considered. Since I'm relatively new to aerial arts, I've only taken a few classes here for Lyra and fabrics, but I have loved the classes. The class size is 6 or fewer, so your instructor has plenty of time to help you if you're lost, confused or, you know, stuck in the air. The instructors are talented individuals who take the time to model the skills and are adept at figuring out how to help you see the skills from different perspectives. They change cues and point out different muscles, movements and positions to cater to the student. There are mirrors in the front of the aerial studio, so, you can see what you're doing. It is helpful, but it can be a little daunting. I've never had a problem finding parking here. The cost is affordable as far as aerials arts classes are priced. I've tried the "blue light" competitor studios around the Reston/Ashburn area, I've tried the boot camp classes and cross fit.. but I felt that none gave me the options to tailor my training based on how I felt physically that day or week and none gave me the ability to control my own pace to achieve my personal fitness goals and stay motivated. In May 2019.. I found Club Pilates Sterling and I have been addicted ever since! The variety and skill levels of classes available are amazing. If you are a runner or any type of athlete - you NEED to add this to your training! If you're coming back from an injury or just getting started on a fitness program- this is definitely the right place! If you're looking for cardio or interval training - it's fantastic here too! And of all the places I have tried - nothing beats the expertise, genuine interest and support that these instructors provide. As an additional note - when COVID hit... the studio was proactive to reach out and find out what members wanted and the instructors quickly rolled out virtual classes which not only helped me keep off the COVID "15" but saved my emotional sanity as well. As of the date of this review (June 23) - the studio is back open!! with multiple layers of procedures and protections in place to protect everyone. And the class size is only 12 people. I tried my first "in studio" class post isolation last night and felt very comfortable and have already booked my next classes tomorrow and this weekend!
