Ultrashine arranged for a tow truck to come pick up my car, called me when the car got there, and continued to contact me every step of the way. My car was ready in just a week--the last time I was in an accident, it took the autobody shop almost 3 weeks to fix a dent in my back bumper. My front bumper looks spotless, and they also cleaned and vacuumed the inside of my car! The office staff are so polite and helpful. Phone calls and emails were always answered in minutes. I've seriously never expected such amazing customer service. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!

A branch fell on the windshield and hood. But they listed EVERY single scratch that weren't there when car left our house, from front bumper and lights to wheel and rear bumper. They convinced the insurance company to call the car totaled. My neighbors were witnesses to the branch fall and we all thought that we were incredibly lucky that it was only the hood and windshield. I understand that glass needs to be cleaned out, but see the photos for yourself. They made up damages that couldn't possibly have happened from this branch. Someone is selling parts or fixing up minor damage to resell. Justin and Keith were extremely disrespectful to us. Justin actually refused to show us the car the day that we showed up to review the damages. They are hiding something. It's not right. The next letter I am writing is to the BBB.

Bob started the process with my insurance company and was able to complete the repair in a very reasonable time frame. All repair work was logged and the report provided to me is very detailed. The paint job is fantastic! Also, when a local auto repair shop noticed evidence of a leak in the area that was just repaired, Bob immediately took the car into his shop and thoroughly evaluated the situation. Kilcoyne, me, and the local repair shop, Premier auto repair, agreed that it was no longer an active leak. Kilcoyne does great work. And stands by their work. I don't plan on getting into an accident, but if I do, Kilcoyne is my first choice to do the repair.

Mark took the time to actually inspect the car properly -- he confirmed the front suspension didn't need replacing, but more importantly, he caught something the other shop completely missed: rust and damage to the rear subframe that needs urgent attention. He walked me through exactly what he found, showed me the problem area in person, and flagged that there's an ongoing class action lawsuit related to this issue that I should look into. He also recommended I take the car to Audi for a full inspection to be safe. And he didn't charge me a dime for the visit. It's rare to find someone in this business who is this honest, thorough, and genuinely looking out for the customer instead of just running up a bill. Mark has earned my trust and all of my future business. If you want a mechanic who actually knows what he's doing and tells you the truth, go see him! Thank you Mark!

They replaced the struts and all relevant components using OEM parts for what I thought was a very reasonable price. The 10 year old car drives like new again!

Second, the issue again is service. Your staffs service was the issue which I believe I clearly articulated. I would hate for that to get lost in your response for others as they are making their own decisions about patroning your auto shop. Please note, Yelp is a space for the consumer to share insights not engage in a debate with ownership when their is no accountability or direct addressing of the post. So to be clear, my issue is the service when I arrived and as I was interacting with Mike and I in no way indicated your service was poor. Now your comment stating that I wasn't spoken to "how I would like" implies zero accountability for the customer experience. I would like to have questions answered and be able to discuss the work done on my car as would anyone with the person reviewing it. Your message fails to address that sole issue. Again, best of luck with your philosophy and business approach, as it clearly works for others and not for me. Original response: I guess the experience depends on who you are and what you're perceived ability to finance you vehicle is by the employees. I am off for parental leave and just in survival mode as one tends to be in the first weeks and was not wearing my executive suite or clothing, so unfortunately no one would not know that I run a small organization. Apparently that determines the service because when I arrived for an estimate, I was excited because this auto shop comes HIGHLY recommended. I was going to spend several thousand dollars to fix a small fender bender and then ask about detailing services. However I will not be engaging with this organization again because I was treated with such indifference that I can't imagine patroning this organization. When I arrived, and was assigned someone to draft the estimate, I approached this staff member, I believe his name was Mike, and asked questions because I had already gotten a quote. He would not look at the other estimate I had and didn't discuss anything with me. I was told that the price will be the same as the other shops and that I should just check my email for his estimate and we can talk then. I left wondering why I came if at places like Waldron Carstar, sat down with me and went point by point and discussed options and advised me as I asked questions BEFORE and AFTER I received their estimate. They treated me like a valued customer and tried to create a work plan that worked for me as a drop in. I went to 3 other shops and got same day estimates. This individuals quote came 12 hours later. Their work is probably great, but their treatment of me as a customer was disappointing given how much work I was intending to pay for. In my opinion, auto service is expensive but the customer service and care shouldn't be optional because that is essentially the only difference from shop to shop since "it's the same price" according to their rep. Fun fact, their quote was the most expensive quote. Go figure lol Update: The response was "I am sorry the estimator did not converse with you the way you would like." Again, customer service appears optional. My response was as follows when the manager referenced their reputation as well: "I actually came because of the reputation, including the fact that I was looking for detailing estimates as well but I never got to that. They also, buffed out the fender my teenager had scratched up in a prior incident just to be nice. I would recommend them.
