Tuna, lettuce, tomato, onion and (of course) oil
    James T.

Do NOT skip on the oil. It is important. If it usually isn't your thing on a hoagie try spreading your wings. The oil makes this hoagie the best in Bloom. I dietarily am now limited to on certain sandwich's and this tuna sub makes me feel so extremely satisfied when I am in the mood for some good old fashioned deli food. They do it right, staff is kind and attentive, their bread is very tasty, and their product is consistent. Not much else can be asked of a sub shop. Steph's does it right.

That is a bug on the bun. Server said "oh that's a bummer"

After ordering for dine it took 55mins to get 5 subs. They brought the first sub out after 30mins. Then while my wife was eating I noticed a black dot on the bottom of her bun. Thought it was burnt bread nope. It was a bug. We told the girl here and she says " oh that's a bummer". That is it. Other than that everything is generic tasting and blah. Service either they are to stoned or to busy on their phone.

    hot sausage sub

We were driving on the highway and was caught in a bad thunderstorm so we stopped by a small town that we have never heard of (which turned out to be Bloomsburg). It was around dinner time so me and my friends decided to eat in the town. We decided to go to Steph's Subs based on yelp reviews. This place is a small local sub store. The nice thing about this place is that the people who work there are nice and friendly. Another nice thing is that you can actually see the staff making the sub in front of you and they really make one carefully. (It's not like other sub stores where they throw in ingredients on the bread and 1/3 of the lettuce going into the trash). The ingredients are in a refrigerator with a clear door where you can see how fresh the ingredients are. I tried a hot sausage sub because I never saw this type of sub in other places. The sausage is not one of those cheap ones that go into a $1 hot dog but seemed like a handmade sausage (not sure if they made it themselves). The spicy curly fries were also good. Not too spiced but just the right amount. My friends ordered normal fries and I tried a few and I could tell that they used fresh oil. I would give them a four-star only because it is very unlikely that I would be able to try it again!!

First off, we got there early and sat down at the bar for a drink before our 6p reservation. Only problem was the bar tender never acknowledged us for at least 5 minutes even though she looked right at us making drinks. Luckily one of the waitress said hello and told us the bar tender would be right with us. I assume she noticed the bar tender ignoring us. The hosted was very nice and sat us early when I let her know my wife and I were here but my friend wasn't here yet. After we sat, our waitress never checked in to see if we wanted anything as we waited for my friend. I had to wave her down to let her know we would like to order a few appetizers. The appetizers, were simply just ok....Fried Zucchini and a few meatballs. Why I ordered Chicken Parm after tasting the meatball appetizer and not really digging the sauce. I should have gotten the Chicken Marsala.... My bad on that one. Needless to say I only ate half the Chicken Parm. My wife only ate a quarter of her Eggplant Parm. My friend did enjoy his Lasagna.... So there is a plus. Not that I will be in Bloomsberg Pa anytime soon but I know if I was, Rose Marie's won't be a place I would try again. Sorry... I rarely right bad reviews... but Rose Marie's is just not that good.

After looking up this restaurant on Google, I was so enamored by their unique menu, especially their Weeds & Seeds Salad that I was dying to dine at this Farm to Table Restaurant. Thankfully, my sweet coworkers made my wish come true! We were a large group of 8 and shared the: 1) Local Cheese Plate (Changes daily, we had Aged Cheddar, Starlight, St. Malachi, and the Black & Blue; $14) 2) Beets W/ Goat Cheese and Dill ($7) The starters we ordered were all so delicious! Of the cheeses, my favorite was the St. Malachi. I've never tried this one before and it was so flavorful, a bit tender and nutty. You have to try this if you haven't yet! For myself, of course I had to order the Weeds & Seeds Salad (Wild Salad Mix, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Bee Pollen, Edible Blossoms, Honey Mustard Vinaigrette; $8). This salad was a dream, to say the least! Not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted amazing! It was unlike any salad I have ever tried before. I loved the light Honey Mustard Vinaigrette and the touch of Bee Pollen. For my main dish, I ordered the Rainbow Trout (Trout Filets Dusted with Sumac and Pan Seared Topped with Vanilla Buerre Blanc and Red Raspberry Gastrique; $25) W/ Hot Greens and Cold Veggie as my two accompaniments. The trout was so delectable and unique. I loved the taste of the vanilla with the raspberry together, such complementary flavors! The Hot Greens and Cold Veggie were also really delicious. For dessert I tried their Shiso-Basil Creme Brulee ($6). Can I just say, what a marvelous combo? I am obsessed with Shiso leaves, but have only had them with sashimi. Never have I seen it used in a dessert. This Creme Brulee just tasted so perfect that I wanted to order another one, but didn't want my coworkers to judge me haha. The chef here is just so talented and the customer service was outstanding. The interior of the restaurant is so charming, a bit rustic and minimalistic and I loved the touch of fresh flavors at every table. Could not praise nor express my love for this restaurant more. Thank you for such a lovely and unique experience The Blind Pig! I hope to dine here again one day!
