Great small town down to earth family owned sub shop. Highly recommend the roasted turkey subs and cosmos - they roast the turkey in house and it is awesome! Lots of people love Marlin's mayonnaise because it's sweet mayo. If that's not your thing, just ask for regular mayo, they're happy to provide it. The prices are super reasonable, and the quality is so much better than Subway. I think Marlin's gets their rolls from a local bakery - it's so good - nice and soft compared to the bastardized tough and chewy pizza dough "rolls" that the local Italian restaurants use. Ordered from Marlins for the first time because I was in the area. I ordered a ham sub with everything on it. I was a well made sub with quality ingredients. Only complaint was a huge chunk of sugar that must be used in the "sweet" mayo... probably will not go back but if you're ok with a sweet sub it's the place for you. read more

We stopped into Marlins Sub Shop this weekend for a quick bite. The prices were very affordable...the food wasn't that impressive. The cheesesteak was light on meat....The macaroni salad was pretty bland on its own, but better after adding salt and pepper. We also tried the ham and cheese cosmo, which I'd rate about a 6/10. It was a bit difficult to eat and the mayo had an odd taste. They had a bunch of different options for desserts, but we did not try any. read more

LOVED Marlin's grown up. The best!! The current owner waters down the best damn mayonnaise ever!! It's runny and has very little flavor. The mayonnaise is the highlight of the hoagie. Marlin's may not look like much, but my family and I always get their subs when we are in town visiting relatives. In fact, we even get hoagies to go when we leave for back home in Pittsburgh. I'm not a huge fan of mayonnaise, but their mayo is really tasty. I totally recommend giving Marlin's a try over other sub shops, especially the national chains. read more

Stopped by to pick up subs & almost turned & walked out.The guy that waited on me had on some of the filthiest shorts I'd ever seen.Both front & back looked like he'd been opening walnuts & wiping the crud on his pants.The place didn't look overly clean to begin with,but that did it for me.Food & filth don't go together.If his clothes are that dirty & thats ok,what about the cooks & their hands?Unless he's the owner,if I am that guys gone.No dirt bags working in my establishment.Food was fair,not great. read more

I just had the worst ham and cheese csub in my life. The mayonnaise was like liquid slop. The lettuce was browned. I was so disappointed. Three of us tasted them and threw them out!!!!! I will never eat there again nor would I recommend it to anyone looking for a sub shop. It was special delivered to me and I was soo excited because I thought it was from Sunbury sub shop. Great food for a great price.. love all their food and the staff is very friendly. I normally get the roasted Turkey sandwich which is very tasty and flavorful. Worst lunch experience i have had in Sunbury. Came in at about 12:10 and received our food around 10 minutes later. Finished eating at about 12:30. We then sat for 40 minutes waiting to pay our bill! During that time we watched the main guy handle cash then make sandwiches twice with no gloves or hand washing, a seemingly homeless man went in behind the counter and served himself coffee, all of the staff wandering aimlessly,and about 20 other people coming and going. We finally paid and left at 1:10. Would never recommend putting up with that for mediocre food. read more
