I had asked about my puppies medical history and was told a few different stories. I had asked for the reasoning of having another dog at home. Unfortunately, my puppy had kennel cough, meanwhile I was told it was already "treated." I'm grateful for the opportunity to help my puppy get the care he deserves, we wouldn't have changed our minds on adopting. I just expected honesty as well as courtesy to prevent spreading misinformation/illnesses. Sad to transition him from a kennel, back into isolation until he's no longer contagious.

The staff were very helpful to me and my son but more importantly the staff are helpful to the animals they care for. The facility is maintained by donations from businesses around the city and there is room for the dogs to have large fenced areas. There are separate areas for training and agility as well as generous dog runs and shelter from the sometimes harsh North Texas elements. The cattery is very roomy and provides the felines =^..^= with plenty of high up jumping places and scratching posts. For every two cats there should be at least three litter boxes - they have low cat numbers (only very temporarily as kitten season is starting) but I would like to see the cattery have a few more litter boxes. The cats are housed in secure area and have a lot more room than most of the other shelters I have seen. My son and I were BLESSED to have been given the chance to be involved in seeing a beautiful 10 year old Great Dane named Bessie go to the Dane rescue in Colleyville. What a beautiful experience to see members of this community come together- drive two hours from Colleyville to pick her up and the lady that was running the WF Humane Society REALLY cares about the animals having the best possible outcomes no matter what...I witnessed this community come together to help a puppy mill mama go to a place where she can do Great Dane stuff and not be viewed simply as dollar signs..this facility CARES...do not under estimate this organization. Please do not breed and buy while shelter pets die... Research the cruel, debilitating and inhumane practice of feline declawing before going ahead with the procedure. Please PLEASE think thoroughly with your family about the breed and size of dog you choose to adopt - adoption is FOREVER and not just until you get tired of your animals or until a piece of material furniture is messed on... In California a neuter is approximately 300$ if you go to a vets office. If you go to the humane society it's approx $150. The ABC Folks do this community a great service offering low cost spays neuter and shots. The staff are warm and welcoming but they're very busy preventing unwanted pets by offering low cost spays and neuters. I have a suggestion for the folks of Lawton. Go to the ABC clinic for low cost spays and neuters and maybe if you can. Leave 5$ extra? It'll add up and in the hands of these great women it will Serve the pet community. I can honestly say that my father's dog was a huge part of his life and I know he's happy that ABC Clinic has rehabilitated Otis the Serial Humper into Otis the Nutless Wonder! Thanks ABC Clinic! You're angels of mercy and protectors of the voiceless. You do a part of God's work and it isn't unnoticed or unappreciated.

"Some people have strengths and some people have weaknesses", is how it was addressed why half the crew worked harder than the rest. The hard working people get run off when the people who slack but don't complain get to stay. It doesn't matter how well you clean, how well you handle harder to adopt animals, it doesn't even matter if you creat a huge community project for the entire company, you will only get paid $8, and can get fired without a reason.

Miriam Kelly contacted me saying that she would foster and find homes for them I just had to drop them off at a local veterinarian office. Come to find out she had been working with Wewoka humane society who no longer had any claim to the dogs! Miriam kept one dog and gave the other 3 to Wewoka humane society a high kill shelter and had been set to be euthanized today!? She is not a nice person at all very conniving and vendictive! Not to be trusted at all!
