Went to the shelter to find a furbuddy. Saw one that we loved and filled out the paperwork to…read moreadopt. Waited three days and then get called telling us the dog was adopted by someone before us. Shouldn't they have known that when we filled out the papers? They are trying to correct the situation by offering us a free adoption which is a great solution BUT what happens if we can't find another new friend? This is the 2nd time this has happened - it happened to another adopter we met at the shelter.

Choices were good for adoptions . Submitted an application , did all that was asked for vets…read morerecords , references etc. Sent follow up emails on process and if anything else was needed . Originally we picked one dog and was told , many applications received on that dog . So we stated if that doesn't work we choose an alternate also . Reference calls were done and spoke with foster mom for original choice . No word so sent follow up email and was told you'll be getting a call from foster mom of another dog ( of which was not either of our choices ) . We replied and were then advised both dogs we choose were placed in foster homes already. WHAT !!! Thanks but no thanks , whole process took 3 1/2 weeks !

At Holistic Pet Care Center I can rest assured that we are getting the best care we can get. They also have a brand new location that is soooo nice I mean wow. The staff is so kind and friendly the multiple times we have gone there I've almost cried I can't even explain how grateful I am to come to such a kind place after many just such awful and brutal experiences at other vets. I can immediately that the staff at Holistic Pet Care Center really cares. I had no idea we had one in the area. I took Nic in and they recommended a simple nebulizer treatment that I can give him myself. He was almost immediately 85% better and has remained so for almost a year now. They also do titre testing so you don't have to over-vaccinate your pets. Both my dogs, for whatever reason, are completely comfortable when we visit, which is so nice, since they shake like leaves at any other vet.

But failed to ever tell us and six days ago our baby girl can no longer walk on her back legs. We took her back to the doctor at Post Road vet clinic and all she could say was she needs to lose weight and needs to exercise more. 24 hours later, she collapses and can't walk at all. So we take her to another vet. And that's where we are informed of her heart murmur and hypothyroidism. And we're told that the failure to treat these two conditions ultimately led to congestive heart failure, and our baby girl died two days ago. I called post road vet clinic to inform them of what they had done and they never even bothered to call us back. If you love your pets, please do not go to this clinic because she has caused a major hole in our heart over the thought of if we had known about her conditions that the doctor felt like wasn't important enough to tell us we might still have her today.
