This person needs to learn compassion and get over greed. I have never in my day been told we can't bill a copay that is 100% bull . needless to say now my daughter is gonna lose more hours at work to go to another ENT to have my granddaughter ears looked at . This office needs to work on Communication…read more Dr Young diagnosed me with a nasal condition and told me that I needed surgery and to contact the surgical coordinator at the office number. He didn't elaborate on *which side* of my nose, how long the recovery would be, or what the risks were. Just: 'You need surgery, schedule it.' (I did have the surgery, and still don't know which side was even operated on). Sometimes, I think that medical people forget that we 'regular' people don't see the same things that they see each day. For us, none of these things are 'routine' and we don't know what to expect. Communicating which side of the nose is affected, how long the surgery takes, how easy the recovery will be, and what risks are associated with the surgery would really help people. I've also been tested for allergies here. It was determined that I need allergy shots - great, I've been going here regularly for them - but it was never communicated to me how long I'll need to do this for. So I just keep going every week and scheduling for the following week, with no end in sight. Again: communicating this to the patient would be nice. I met another patient who also has been coming here for allergy shots, and that patient said she began with 2 visits per week to 'get ahead / make progress faster.' I was not told that this was an option. Their phone system/call-taking procedure really needs a tune-up. When you call, you're sent straight to a phone tree- no human answers the phone. You have options to leave a message for an appointment, or for a nurse, or for the surgery scheduler/billing department. But if you don't press '3' after your message (or maybe it was the # key?) then your message doesn't get sent/delivered and so you won't get a call back because they apparently don't even know that you've called. It would be nice if a *person* answered the phone, and then transferred you to the appropriate department if need be. Communication at this office, phone-wise, is really lacking. The patient portal also needs more communication. I requested an appointment and never received a notification in the portal about it, nor did I receive a phone call. Then, about five days later *while I was at the office getting an allergy shot* the receptionist called my phone about my portal appointment request. Hello? I was *just* standing in front of you, checking in, 10 minutes ago! Do you really not know I am in the building, actively receiving a treatment? The waiting room is decorated nicely, there's coffee & water and a cute little area for kids to chill. I've been taken 'on time' each time I've been there, except one time. I suppose I keep going because: 1) their hours jive with my schedule, and: 2) it is relatively close to my home. But I'd be willing to switch allergists, even if the new place was further away, if I could find one with the same hours but with much better communication.

I went to see her for the first time a year ago and she was amazing. She explained without being condescending. She has a wonderful bedside manner. She calls with test results herself. And she personally calls at times you wouldn't expect to hear from a doctor, to answer questions I asked about. She gives honest and good advice and makes suggestions for what the primary can do and what she can do. The best possible referral I can give about her... I absolutely panicked at the thought she might retire!! Where would I go and how could I possibly find another doctor like her? So if you're looking for an ENT I strongly suggest making an appointment with Dr Robin Miller.

I went to Dr. Chmiel's practice on the recommendation of a co-worker. I went for throat pain I'd…read morehad for a year. I had had a sonogram and nothing was found. I went to Dr. Chmiel and within 15 min I had my diagnosis. Using a scope up my nose and down my throat which took 5 min in office, he showed me the video of the scoping. He showed me my septal bone spur, which caused pus to drip from my sinus down my throat, which caused my throat pain. Dr. Chmiel never pushed surgery. He advised I think about it. I said I wanted the surgery. So off to a CT scan so he could see my sinuses. Good thing I did because he found more things- enlarged adenoids and a polyp in one of my sinus cavities. I said I still wanted surgery and managed to get a date in two weeks. Dr. Chmiel removed my septal bone spur ( that's what's in the photo), removed my adenoids, and roto rooted out the polyp. I had no pain, no visible swelling. The follow ups were the day after, then one week. I found Dr. Chmiel attentive, answered all of my questions, and had a good sense of humor. If you need a septal bone spur chiseled out, Dr. Chmiel's your guy!!! The staff was great too!

For the second year in a row, my husband and I spent over two hours for hearing tests and ear…read morecleanings. We gave the facility another chance to service us. We had simultaneous appointments for 2:20. We were not taken until 3:30, although four patients who arrived after us were seen before we were called. My husband was given a hearing test at 3:40, while I had my ears cleaned. We then were sent back to the patient room. About ten minutes later I was taken for my hearing test while my husband was told that the doctor would be in to clean his ears. When I returned from my test, I was not given a sheet with the results, like my husband was given. We both sat for 15 more minutes; my husband was STILL awaiting his cleaning, and I waited for my test results sheet. No one was in sight. My husband was disgusted with being ignored. He left the office which had absolutely no patients any longer. Only a couple office personnel were working in semi-closed rooms and no doctor was in sight. He went to get his vehicle from the lot to wait for me. Finally, the doctor returned to where I was waiting for my report. It was given to me and I reported the entire situation to the receptionist. I emphasized that my husband better not be billed for a cleaning which was supposed to be done. As I spoke with her, SHE became upset. Since my husband had already been waiting for me in our vehicle for over 10 minutes, I left the office, making no future appointments. The entire fiasco from entering the office to my leaving lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes. The driving time to and from the facility took a total of 70 minutes due to the busy drive time of the day. Caution to future patients: Make NO OTHER appointments of importance, if you choose to visit this facility. I am a patient and pleasant person. But after two similar experiences in two years, I AM DONE!

When she is with your all her focus is on you and the issues at hand. None of that talking to you while running out the door. Secondly, she doesn't over prescribe. And each medication is reviewed for effectiveness and dosage. But mostly l like her bed side manner. Extraordinary! So few doctors these days possess this extremely important part of patient care. Dr. Lane truly cares for her patients individually. I am so glad l found her and am in her practice. (Also, scheduling is a breeze and there is very little wait time before you're taken in.)
