Waste of time. I have had issues with plugged and popping ears and a drippy nose, my PCP suggested an ENT because she could only see so far in my ears and nose with her scope, and she couldn't see anything concerning. I went to Paul Young, didn't see him, which is fine, but the NP that I saw didn't do anything my PCP didn't do and immediately suggested a nasal ablation and went on a sales pitch about how Dr. Young does them in the office. Felt like they "sell" that to everyone. She also couldn't see anything concerning- so why suggest this procedure? And for the plugged ears, she suggested I get a hearing test but they don't perform them. What kind of ENT can't do a hearing test in the office? Long story short- useless and total waste of time and money. Just got a $350.00 bill, after insurance for literally nothing. read more

This office needs to work on Communication. Dr Young diagnosed me with a nasal condition and told me that I needed surgery and to contact the surgical coordinator at the office number. He didn't elaborate on *which side* of my nose, how long the recovery would be, or what the risks were. Just: 'You need surgery, schedule it.' (I did have the surgery, and still don't know which side was even operated on). Sometimes, I think that medical people forget that we 'regular' people don't see the same things that they see each day. For us, none of these things are 'routine' and we don't know what to expect. Communicating which side of the nose is affected, how long the surgery takes, how easy the recovery will be, and what risks are associated with the surgery would really help people. I've also been tested for allergies here. It was determined that I need allergy shots - great, I've been going here regularly for them - but it was never communicated to me how long I'll need to do this for. So I just keep going every week and scheduling for the following week, with no end in sight. Again: communicating this to the patient would be nice. I met another patient who also has been coming here for allergy shots, and that patient said she began with 2 visits per week to 'get ahead / make progress faster.' I was not told that this was an option. Their phone system/call-taking procedure really needs a tune-up. When you call, you're sent straight to a phone tree- no human answers the phone. You have options to leave a message for an appointment, or for a nurse, or for the surgery scheduler/billing department. But if you don't press '3' after your message (or maybe it was the # key?) then your message doesn't get sent/delivered and so you won't get a call back because they apparently don't even know that you've called. It would be nice if a *person* answered the phone, and then transferred you to the appropriate department if need be. Communication at this office, phone-wise, is really lacking. The patient portal also needs more communication. I requested an appointment and never received a notification in the portal about it, nor did I receive a phone call. Then, about five days later *while I was at the office getting an allergy shot* the receptionist called my phone about my portal appointment request. Hello? I was *just* standing in front of you, checking in, 10 minutes ago! Do you really not know I am in the building, actively receiving a treatment? The waiting room is decorated nicely, there's coffee & water and a cute little area for kids to chill. I've been taken 'on time' each time I've been there, except one time. I suppose I keep going because: 1) their hours jive with my schedule, and: 2) it is relatively close to my home. But I'd be willing to switch allergists, even if the new place was further away, if I could find one with the same hours but with much better communication. read more

In additon to my review on 8/31/24 today 10/3/24 I receive another bill for the same thing and they cashed my check! When I tried to call during regular business hours at 2:20 - office says closed (online says open) wow - they definitely have a BIG PROBLEM with their billing system and office staff if no one is there today. It cost FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS to wait for an hour, have water squirted up my nose without warning, and look for 30 seconds before having a brief discussion that eventually resulted in deciding not to do anything further. This place is a scam and should be absolutely avoided. read more

This so-called ENT doctor knowingly performed a procedure that was not helpful at the time. He had a CT in front of him and said we needed an OR. He endangered my life by not giving me proper care and should be held accountable for his poor judgment. I suffered for a long time because of this man. I had extensive surgery to correct my super serious issues. I was on the operating table for 3 hours, and that should say it all. Please get a second or third opinion. I went to visit Dr. Young to see if he could help me further after a procedure I underwent at a gastroenterologist. I found him to be curt and unpleasant. From the moment he stepped into the room, I regretted coming to his office. He did answer my question, and I had a minor procedure that I requested. I thanked him, and he wanted out the office with no response. In the future if I have any ENT issues, I will be looking for a different doctor. read more

The office staff - specifically the "surgery scheduling" personnel - are horrendous. No one ever answers the phone. Messages are not returned. I first saw them in mid February and saw the doctor in early April. After over THREE WEEKS of calls and messages to schedule - I finally heard back - and that we are booking TWO MONTHS OUT. They called the week of my procedure to inform me that they CANCELEED it because my insurance denied coverage. I CALLED my insurance - only to find out it did NOT need authorization and that it was DENIED because their (outsourced??) submitter filed info with errors. "Oh, we can't do anything now, need to wait for the appeal." I could now be looking at another 4 months before I can get rescheduled. Does Dr. Young have a CLUE what his staff is doing????? read more

For the past week and a half, my ears had been so blocked up... literally felt like my head was underwater, and couldn't hear much of anything unless it was turned up way too loud... louder than even my usual loud listening levels. After home remedies hadn't worked for four days, I decided to call for an appointment. Going to see a doctor is usually not the way one would expect to enjoy time on their birthday, but I can honestly say that I've received the gift of superb hearing after my visit at Dr. Young's office. Everything from my interaction with the receptionist to receiving the suction removal by Kelly, the Physician's Assistant was extremely pleasant and professional. This was my first time seeing a specialist for my earwax problem, and I can truly say I can't remember the last time I could hear as well as I am after my visit here. I was suggested due to come in at least once every 12 months, and I will certainly be doing so, and will look forward to being treated again by either Kelly or Dr. Young in the future. read more

Great place to go to. A family member needed to be seen, and they were able to get them in an hour after we called. The inside of the office is absolutely beautiful. Per Office staff, Dr. Young's wife is in charge of the decorating, and may I just say, she does an amazing job. He was kind and very professional. I'm disappointed in my recent experience. I came in March for a consultation on my sinus problems. I was given an Endoscopy without even letting me know this was a "procedure" and my insurance may not cover it. I really wish they would have let me know that this was an inpatient procedure - not apart of the office visit. I would have called ahead of time to see if my insurance would have covered it. I feel blind sided from the experience. *UPDATE 7/15/16: It's not about high deductible plans or my insurance - the fact remains you did not tell me your were performing a procedure that would cost me hundreds of dollars, only that were were looking into my nose. read more

Cannot say enough good things about this place/doctor. The office is beautiful, the staff so incredibly nice and caring. They were fast and thorough. Doctor Young although he didn't visit long, he got to the point and was efficient with his time. I never leave reviews but I just had to for this doctor. I've been battling sinus issues for 2 years and finally decided to seek medical help. In February I had gone to another doctor who made promises of making me better fast. They said I should receive a call in a few weeks for surgery. 7 months later still no call. So I decided to try Dr. Young and WOW!! I should have gone sooner. Not only are you in and out of he office in a maximum of 30 minutes but the staff is amazing. There really care for you there and take the time to explain what's going on medically with you. I was in and out my first visit with the PA in 15 minutes. She did a through exam and told me I needed to follow up with Dr Young for a pre op appointment. 2 weeks later I met with Dr Young and he confirmed I needed surgery. That same day I scheduled my surgery and was so relived. This doctor is amazing and so is his staff. read more
