I don't write many reviews, but when I receive exceptional service, I feel compelled to share with others.
You don't realize how much you love your Pediatrician until your child is sick.
Our daughter is almost 4. Since she was 8 months old, she's had a chronic cough. The numerous (about 10) Pediatricians we took her to told us the cough resulted from a sinus infection and she was constantly on antibiotics.
When the average child gets a cold, it lasts 7-10 days. When our daughter gets sick, it is a 2+ month ordeal where no one sleeps because she coughs all night long. The cough is so bad, she throws up almost nightly.
After dealing with her chronic cough for 2 years, her illness had consumed my life. It was all I could think about. The combination of sleep deprivation, desperation & extreme frustration, lead me to see my own doctor in search for an anti-anxiety medication to help me cope. Fortunately, my doctor suggested I skip the meds and find a Pediatric Pulmonologist. This is when the stars aligned and we met Dr. Carson.
When we first saw Dr. Carson, our daughter had a thick junky cough that had been going on for months. She literally couldn't go more than 2 minutes without coughing. On our first visit, Dr. Carson had an idea of what the problem was and recommended a plan of action. Within a week, her cough was gone and she could sleep thru the night. It was a miracle.
We've been seeing Dr. Carson for almost a year. To say Dr. Carson has gone above and beyond to help get our daughter's cough under control is an understatement. He is thorough, attentive, calming, knowledgeable (has over 3 decades of experience), conservative on prescribing medication, a great listener, and he genuinely cares about not only the patient, but also the entire family. We're in his office all the time and never feel rushed. Dr. Carson doesn't make us feel embarrassed for coming in as much as we do.
Yes, at times, we do have to wait a little to see Dr. Carson, but I'd rather wait to see the right Pediatrician, than not wait and see the wrong Pediatrician. I know we are waiting because he's giving another family the amazing quality of service he gives us
When I call the triage line to schedule an appointment, I'm always responded to within 3 hours. The office staff is kind and do their best to get us in asap.
In a time when medicine has become a business and patients feel like they're just a number, Dr. Carson is a welcomed throwback to what medicine used to be. I can't say enough good thing about this wonderful man. read more
