The course lasted 4 hours which went by very quickly - the range covered was extensive. Lou was very knowledgeable about photography - the course was well structured and she is an inspiring teacher. We had many different cameras in the group both compact and DSLR but Lou moved effortlessly between them, explaining the buttons and menu systems. I felt the teaching was individual to me when I asked a question - this was helped by the class size being kept small - there seemed time for each of us. Everything from start to finish was hands-on practical advice with projects to show how each thing worked. I found a few buttons which I had never found before (round the front) ! Even with a few rain showers that day Lou was able to keep us dry without any detriment to the learning experience - we were able to move undercover very easily the route is obviously well planned to take account of being outside. There were notes to accompany the course - I have accessed them online and they cover most of what we did in a slightly more technical way (having done it in practice first, the technical side is a lot easier and the camera manual makes more sense) Realistically you do need to keep practising what you learned either by going out fairly soon after the course or doing another one. What I learned most of all is that you can read about photography , apertures, ISO, depth of field etc till the cows come home but applying it practically is a different matter. You can't learn all of photography in a day but this course is a great start. I am looking forward to extending my knowledge into the creative course next.

All classes are taught by company members on a weekly basis. This makes Monday the best day to start so you don't get left behind in routines. Most teachers teach one routine throughout the week adding sections daily. The changing rooms and showers are very clean and tidy. The studios are large and airy with sprung floors. There really is no better place to go to learn contemporary dance anywhere in London. If you are a beginner they hold workshops and courses throughout the year. Check the website for more details.

Its one of Europe's most innovative dance spaces, where artists from all over the world come to push creative boundaries, to experiment and to perform outstanding new work for audiences who expect to be surprised, inspired and delighted. The Place also has a 280 seat theatre, an extensive range of classes, courses and participatory opportunities for adults and young people, and professional development programmes for artists. The theatre holds over 200 performances a year, including festivals and special events. I went along to The Place to see the performance done by Protein "May Contain Food". This performance runs from Thu 21 Apr to Sat 7 May but touring after this. The whole performance was very interesting all about food. First of all you enter a big room full of tables around the side all decorated differently some was done up with dried pasta laying across the table, some full of vegetables, some full of feathers laying across table etc. The table I chose was full of fast food wrappers and containers I don't like fast food but it looked more colourful and fun compared to the other tables. Also the main lead was the waitor for our table as the performance is all about waitors/waitresses, family/friends and food. They dance and sing about food teaching us about where food comes from, how we should appreciate food, how are life if revolved around food etc. Throughout we got tastings like a tomato and we had to roll it across our face, feel it, look at it, hear it etc to appreciate it. This was a fun unique way though with a very artist performance played out by the cast. I particularly liked the part when they was singing about meat they acted like animals, funny. Has to be seen to understand whole concept of performance.

I have had 3 driving instructors in the past and it took me this long to find someone like Bryan! He is professional but also approachable and relatable! He made me feel confident in my driving and taught me to not only pass my test but enjoy driving afterwards. I am nearly 30 years old and pregnant with my 3rd child and FINALLY - all thanks to Bryan, I have passed and feel excited about getting in my car! I highly recommend him as a driving instructor, especially if you are a little nervous because he makes you feel at ease straight away. He creates a relaxed environment to learn in. He enjoys his job so much and it truly shows, he is 100% present throughout lessons and concentrates on your driving experience. He is straight talking, honest and excellent at explaining things. He is an expert in his field and an incredible teacher. He takes the time to teach you the correct way to drive and to be able to do that alone with confidence! He is constantly improving his teaching techniques and adapting them when he sees a better alternative. He breathes belief into his students and he prepared me so well for my practical driving test that I went into it full of confidence and excitement rather than nerves! Excellent service and fantastic value for money! Thank you Bryan for giving me my freedom and an essential life lesson

Jesting aside, seriously this is a great place if you have any kind of back pain or trapped nerves or even shoulder and upper body injuries. Don't let the ropey premises put you off the students there are brilliant amazingly attentive more probing during the diagnostic phase than doctors ever could be, and very sympathetic to people who are suffering. As Beckyboo stated above, all the treatment from the students is overseen by the senior osteopathic lecturers who occasionally show their head in the treatment rooms to confirm the diagnosis and to observe the manipulation or advice that is being given to the patient. Seven weeks ago I first tried this place with really bad sciatica and now things are practically back to normal the only thing left to do to improve the condition of my back is make sure that this time, as I promised myself before, to put myself in for a course of Pilates. So if anyone here has a good review of Pilates instructor feel free to post or message me. Another five-star rating!
