Gordon Gancz is one of the best medics I've ever encountered in my life. He is kind, caring,…read morerespectful and understanding, especially when things get tough. He has saved my skin on a number of occasions and also spotted things escalating before I have. Given my rare presentation, this is no mean feat! I have nothing but gratitude and respect for this extraordinary medic and human being - if only there were more like him, the NHS would be in a much better state!

This GP has very little patience with his patients (so to speak). I found his demeanour and…read morecommunication style patronising and unhelpful, and he essentially tries to end the consultation in under 3 minutes, regardless whether you haven't finished describing your symptoms or whether you also have a second problem for which you are seeing him. It is hard to say whether this GP (Gancz) is or isn't competent as a medic, however he is definitely lacking in empathy and patience, which are probably just as important. Dr Naomi Drury, from the same surgery, is a lot more empathic and helpful, and so when I next need to see a doctor again, I will try to make appointments with her rather than with the rather unpleasant Dr Gancz.

After years of suffering from a neck injury, exacerbated by arthritis, I visited my Dr with an…read moreongoing problem of a trapped nerve. It was suggested that I visit Mark. By the second of my visits the trapped nerve was no longer a problem and Mark could get to work on the many problems that had accumulated over the last twenty years since the accident that had caused my neck injury. One such problem which became very much an overriding issue was my tennis elbow and it was obvious, given its severity, that this was an issue that had to be addressed before others could be tackled. I was very surprised when I was told that I could be helped with the use of acupuncture which Mark could administer. This is an ongoing condition which has gained some relief from receiving this treatment. So it's not just the manipulation of ones limbs but also acupuncture that is available at Mark's practice. I found Steph after trying a few other providers to help me work through my anxieties around…read moregetting pregnant. I hadn't tried hypnosis and was very unsure about it, but I wanted to give it a try. Steph immediately struck me as the perfect mix of professional, relatable, and educated and I knew she was the right partner for what I needed. She didn't pressure me to do hypnosis and for the first few months we did not. As I got more comfortable I came to realize hypnosis wasn't much different than meditation and found myself enjoying the time and process. I read something that said "hypnosis is meditation but with a goal," and this really resonated with me and helped me feel comfortable with the process. Throughout our time together Steph empowered me to look within and I was able to unearth some amazing insights into why I wasn't yet ready to get pregnant and what it would take to be ready. After about 6 months of working with her for a combo of therapy and hypnosis (all on zoom!) I not only found myself truly ready to get pregnant, but then the next month, I got pregnant! I look forward to seeing Steph again soon as I prepare for a calm and informed child birth this summer. I am so much less afraid of childbirth, and I have Steph to thank for that.
