It was super clean as well which is always very important to me and an issue that most often prevents me from returning to a new salon. I will say it took me several tries over a number of weeks and months to get an appointment but I am very glad that I finally got in and of course, made a follow up appointment for the next time. The cost was a bit more than I normally pay but for great quality, it is well worth it. I look forward to seeing Michele again soon.

I looked up the salon next door to Phil's but the only stylist there that day (early Monday afternoon) was busy with a client and didn't take walk-ins. I had seen the sign for Phil's Barber Shop earlier in the week (conveniently located within walking distance to Walgreen's) but I wasn't too keen on waltzing into a barber shop and asking for a bang trim vs. a shave. However, since I couldn't get what I was looking for at the first salon next door, I noticed the two chairs in Phil's were unoccupied and saw a nice lady who's name I learned is "Luz" awaiting my arrival as if I had actually made an appointment. I had to walk in and ask if she could fix my fringe. Luz was very professional and is an excellent listener - which is highly important for personal services such as this - especially the first time around with a new client/stylist or "barber". Luz did exactly what I was hoping she would/could do to clean up the mess I had made by cutting my own bangs and she definitely knew what she was doing; so kind and knowledgeable. I encourage you to visit Phil's even if you're not accustomed to having your hair cut by a "barber" - you won't be sorry. And be sure to ask for Luz! You'll be glad you did.
