First time microblading, and I'm so glad I went to Sarah! I picked her business because all the…read morepictures on her website and instagram looked super natural, and she definitely lived up to my expectations. After the two weeks of healing time, even I couldn't distinguish my real hairs from the microblading-- like magic, it looked like I grown perfectly defined, new eyebrows! Now, six weeks out, I've gotten used to looking in the mirror and finding clean, strong brows all the time. Sarah's shop is clean, comfortable, and stylish. I found her very communicative, in that she checked in with me every step of the way and explained what she'd be doing before doing it. Although she checked in with me, I trusted her expertise on shape and tint, etc, and am very glad I did. I've got my touchup next week, and although I'm already extremely happy with them, I'm excited to see how Sarah tidies and finishes them off, so they'll stay this way for as long as possible.

My first time scheduling with my appointment confirmed she canceled on me the day of my appointment and rescheduled me for the next morning which I received a text saying she was running late. My follow up appointment was scheduled multiple weeks in advance also confirmed and she canceled my appointment the day before and needed me to change times. I was unable to do so. This is simply poor customer service. I can understand things happen, but it was my experience twice at this place and I was a new customer.

I was a bit nervous as my only previous waxing was done in the 1990's and it was so painful. I am very happy to report that Emma is a magician with her "gentle wax" method and left my face feeling renewed and fresh. It did not feel raw afterwards and I've had no outbreak of any kind. (My skin tends to dryness and I am in my 70's, just FYI.) She is very easy to engage with and we had a few laughs- I hope I wasn't too loud! The salon has a great vibe and is spic and span clean. There's plenty of parking. I will be going back as recommended in 5 weeks for followup waxing, but I must try a full day spa treatment before that. Ya have to treat yourself right, right?!

They were able to get my mother in law in for a manicure too. I got acrylics with gel overlay and sent a picture of the inspiration. Kate was my manicurist and she did a fantastic job. I feel so pretty and I can't stop looking at my nails. It took close to 2 hours, but look at those lines. It took precision. I feel so freaking beautiful omg it's the little things. She made sure each nail was similar length to the other hand, shaped it perfectly, and made sure to ask me what I thought after each process so that way she knew I what I wanted. It was $95 and so worth it. I only get my nails done twice a year so this was a special treat because I'm on vacation and I work a job where I can't do nails like this. Thanks Kate

After looking over my skin, the tech she said recommended a vitamin C facial. At no time did she say...oh by the way this will add $33 to the cost. And added a $21 eye/forehead mask without telling me. So great experience until I went to check out. The additional $54 was a surprise.

My husband and I were treated at Complexions Spa for four treatments over two different days. The…read moreenvironment was very serene and relaxing, and the treatment providers were very good and very professional. Unfortunately, the reservationist, front desk staff, and spa attendants made many mistakes, lacking a significant level of professionalism you would expect at a spa of this caliber. These problems included making a mistake on the second day with one of my reservations where I was sent a male instead of female massage therapist for a 1.5 hour massage. When I brought it to their attention, the massage therapist (not the front desk administrative person) offered a half hour massage with a woman instead of 1.5 hour to "fix" the mistake. I told them I wanted to speak with the front desk person and strongly objected to the supposed solution; they came up with an hour massage with a free add-on (hot stone massage). I had to work hard for this - they made things much more stressful than it should have been. They also told us wrong information about their tipping policies for certain massage therapists and made it really difficult to tip people, did not tell massage therapists to wear masks for both of us (which we had requested ahead of time and they had done the first day), had a cold spa attendant greet us who was suppose to make us feel welcome but lacked warmth and social graces, another spa attendant touched me repeatedly (which you do not do with out consent), etc. When the owner, Denise DuBois, called to talk about the numerous problems I had outlined in an email, she was highly defensive. I felt SO tense and uncomfortable with how she behaved towards me that even though she apologized for our experience at the spa and ultimately offered two free massages (for myself and my husband), I/we could never imagine going back there; we did not accept the offer. We do NOT ever want to go back there again. There was a significant lack of warmth and empathy for the level of problems and mistakes from staff and the stressful impact of this in real time and when discussed later - it was quite shocking. We have been to spas and all types of treatment providers in the U.S. and in Europe and have never been treated so unprofessionally by the administrative end of a business. It clearly comes from the top down and is very problematic. Added note: I have a friend who warned me against this place, because she had been there a half dozen times, and they made a mistake every single time with her reservation. When I told this to Denise Dubois, she wanted to know the name of my friend (talk about this request being inappropriate), and she found it hard to believe what I was saying (again, inappropriate). I was really taken aback; a professional does not do this. My friend recommended another spa in Saratoga Springs that she loves. I am going to try them.

What was most disappointing was the complete lack of apology or effort to make the situation right.
