My daughter made an appt at a Stellar Nails elsewhere. She thought she was making it at Stellar Nails in Lewiston ID. Apparently this has been a mistake many have made. However, the man working there (or maybe he owns the place) was rude and made her feel so stupid. So unnecessary..she felt embarrassed to realize she'd booked at the wrong nail salon. We have happily gotten her into another nail salon so she's ready for prom! Don't bother with Stellar Nails & Spa. I only gave them a one star rating because it wouldn't post a zero. read more

They do not take debit cards or any type of credit card. They did not tell me that when I called to make my appointment, I had to go across the parking lot to an ATM. They only have three people working there. At least 12 walk-ins were sent away as there was no availability. I paid $65 for a manicure/gel and a pedicure. That is also what I pay in Seattle. But in Seattle I get a 20 minute foot massage. I had a two minute foot massage chair and felt like I was being rushed out the door. read more

What an incredible addition to the LC Valley! After being pampered in Seattle for the last several years and moving back here I was a little frustrated with finding a nail salon to my liking. This place has exceeded even my former nail spas in Seattle. ENVIRONMENT: The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. Granted it's new (opened in August 2016), the owners obviously have put a lot of love and attention to aesthetics. In addition to that, because it is open and bright, I didn't feel cramped into a small shop. The air didn't have that awful nail salon smell at all. It was a nice change from the chemical smells you often experience in the smaller salons here. Everything is very organized and easy for customers to navigate. STAFF: Tran and Jimmy both were very attentive and service was exceptional. I believe they are the owners though I could be mistaken. Tran helped me decide on colors and even went as far as to show me how they looked on her own nail. She also showed me the different gel finishes. Until today I was not aware you could get a matte finish with gel! Jimmy did excellent work on my nails. Everything from the shape to the color was perfect. SELECTION: Absolutely amazing selection of both services and nail color. You have your standard nail color, gel, powder press color, chromes, and more! Best of all, it's neatly organized and Tran answered all of my many questions about the nail colors. I ended up getting a beautiful pastel powder press color with a gel matte finish. Jimmy was very patient with me as I couldn't make up my mind with such a huge selection! SERVICES: While I only had my nails done, I did talk with them about their other services. They offer waxing, pedicures, an adorable area for children to get a 'full spa treatment ' and even Henna! I'm sure I probably missed something but you can check their website for more details. I plan on returning not only for my nails but to try out some of their other services as well. PRICES: I honestly expected higher prices because the entire experience is high end from the moment you are greeted. I was very pleasantly surprised to find their prices more than competitive with other local salons. I have paid more at other salons here and gotten less. And the best part is that they are not like other salons who demand cash only or slap you with extra fees for using a debit card. I even purchased gift cards for my little nieces so they can try out their kids services. Overall, this has been the best nail salon experience I have had in the LC Valley. I have tried 4 different ones. I will be staying with this nail salon in the long run. They run their business with their customer experience in mind. I predict this place is going to become popular fairly fast! TIP: Call ahead and schedule an appointment. It gets busy quickly, especially on weekends. Ask for Jimmy. Took my niece and step daughter in. Waited about 30 min. The guy owner took great care of both of them and did a awesome job, even let them watch a Disney show via his app tv. His Wife came later to shop and cashed us out and checked on the girls. Everybody here is super friendly and the shop is clean enough to eat off the floors !! They do not know how to keep appointments. I made an appointment for a mani and pedi, and waited for nearly an hour and a half for the manicure after my pedicure. They kept accepting walk-ins without regard for those who had booked ahead. I finally left without the manicure and will not go back. read more

My sister and I decided to try this place hoping we could both get nails and pedicure at the same time. We had an appointment, however, I ended up having to work later than planned. We called to let them know we were going to be late and were told it was fine and to "take our time." My sister got there before I did so they decided to start her nails first. I had to wait. The dude quickly put the acrylic on her nails, then, while the powder was still wet, had her pick up her things and move to the pedicure chair. Obviously, her nails got messed up in the process and she was blamed for "not being careful." When I sat down for nails the guy seemed rushed. He was also paying more attention to the football game on his phone than what he was doing. I told him several times how I wanted .t nails painted, he obviously wasn't paying attention because he messed up and when I asked him to fix it, his response was "I already did it, so it has to stay." My nails were painted very sloppy and not how I requested. I was told to go sit in the pedicure chair and they told my sister she could sit in the one next to me and relax. But they hadn't even finished her nails yet. The guy was so wrapped up in his stupid football game to realize so she had to say something. Now for the pedicure. The woman was rushed and very rough. She sanded my skin quite a bit and pretty much laughed when I flinched. I'm not sure what she did bit I also now have a rash on my ankle that was not there when I went in. When she started painting, she asked how I wanted it. I told her to match my nails. She painted the solid color and then immediately tried to put the glitter over the wet first layer and legitimately looked confused when it didn't work properly. I wanted kind of an ombre look with the glitter but when she did it on my toe, it looked weird so I asked her to just paint the glitter over the whole thing. She straight looked at me, rolled her eyes and sighed. At that point, I almost just got up and left. That was completely uncalled for. Finally, we were finished. And as we were leaving, found out they were so rushed to get us out of there so they could close an hour early and go to the football game. I had high hopes for this place, but they disappointed on so many levels. Neither my sister or I will be returning. So far, Hollywood Nails is the best place in the Valley. read more

Overall I had a great experience here! Another salon cancelled on me last minute, and they were able to fit me in at the same appointment time! The man who did my nails was very nice, talkative, and made sure he gave me the style I wanted. My nails turned out great! My only complaint is that he was pretty rough when filing my nails, it was slightly painful. But that is a regular occurrence at many salons when getting acrylics. I consider them to be very affordable as well, I got acrylics with color for $40. I also love the fact that they use an air purification system, first time I have gotten fake nails and not been made sick from the smell! Give this place a try! read more

This was such a terrible experience. I was immediately greeted with a man who just seemed so uninterested in doing his job. I had asked him to make my nails a bit longer so I could get pointed tips and by the time we got to when he asked me what shape I wanted I reminded him that I had wanted them pointed and I kid you not this man rolled back in his chair and rolled his hold head in frustration. He didn't speak English that well so the lady next to him had to tell me that I should have told him that I wanted them pointed in the first place (which I did but okay) and that it was basically my fault I had to get them squared. And it doesn't stop there. Before them when he asked me what color I wanted I told him I wanted the black to pink which he replied with that they didn't have black (which was okay) but the girl next to him said yes they did and grabbed black for me. As for the pink when I asked him about the pink he pulled out what I thought was going to be a nude pink turned out to be a rusty orange as soon as the color got wet. I will be going in tomorrow and hopefully be getting something back in return. Mind you I paid 50$ for these sh**ty things. read more

What's the point of making an appointment when they serve walk-in customers first? We had two pedicure appointments scheduled for 1 pm. There were 2 employees working and a few customers waiting when we got there a few minutes early. They started another customer's manicure a little after 1 and finally got us sat down around 1:10, they only started one of our pedicures and didn't get to the other one until 1:50. Absolutely the worst experience ever in a nail salon. The young man who was removing my gel polish pressed down really hard on the dremel drill to file it off. I kept saying too hard, hot. Repeated this about three times. Next, he proceeded to file off the nails to the shape he wanted. Not the shape I asked for. I said not square - oval. Again, he acted like the language barrier prevented him from knowing what I was saying. Hot and not square are not hard to understand. Finally, after applying the acrylic, when going over them again with the dremel file he made me bleed at the cuticle. That was it. I asked if there was some one else there who could finish my nails and not make me bleed. The whole experience was absolutely terrible. Nails looked horrible when I left, my fingers were red and painful. It took a few days for the redness and pain to go away. These people had a poor attitude as well as horrible nail technician. Just okay. I took my 6 year old granddaughter with me for her first pedicure. The reason I picked this place was because of the cute chairs they have for little girls while I knew would appeal to her. They did mine first which wasn't the best I've had. Didn't soak the feet for any amount of time. The exfoliating wasn't adequate;there was still dry skin I had to remove when I got home and the "massage" didn't even include the feet. They did about half the service on my granddaughter that they did on me and charged the same for a total of $63!! read more
