During her appointment, the technician doing her pedicure apparently forgot that she was also scheduled for a manicure. When he realized it, he became visibly frustrated, started working on her nails himself, and then abruptly pushed her off to another employee. Unfortunately, the service only got worse from there. The manicure was rushed, sloppy, and unprofessional. The polish application is uneven, messy around the edges, and looks nothing like what I would expect from a professional salon. Even more concerning, multiple fingers were cut during the process, causing bleeding around the cuticles. A manicure should never leave a customer bleeding. The lack of care and attention to detail was shocking. Looking at her nails afterward, it was clear that proper cuticle care and polish application techniques were not followed. Extremely disorganized and careless from start to finish. Between the scheduling mix-up, the technician's attitude, being passed from one person to another, the poor quality of the manicure, and the cuts around her nails. What makes this even more upsetting is that my daughter rarely gets her nails done and was excited to have them done for our Hawaiian vacation. Instead of leaving with a positive experience, she left with sore, bleeding fingers. I only wish I had been there to stand up for her and address the situation in the moment. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

They're hands down the best gel mani I have had. It's been 2 weeks today and all of them are still on and going strong. That NEVER happens for me! When I got home, I decided I wanted more layers in my cut. I sent her a message and she fixed it up right away, free (of course). She was really kind about it and really just wanted me to be happy with the end result. It's a bit spendy, but worth the results.

I love that the table/bed is heated! Each appointment basically feels like a one hour face massage with products and steam. I might have even fallen asleep once or twice. She also does waxing so I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed by her and once came in for a face wax, just because I've been wanting to see how that's would feel. Those appointments were also lovely but obviously not quite as relaxing as a facial. Scheduling is easy through the Schedulicity app. For hair I sometimes still go the "wait list" route, though, because I tend to enjoy trying to meet everyone instead of always going to the same person. It's all positive, though - sometimes my schedule just aligns with a different person. I also love learning about and trying different businesses, and it's hard to do that if I always go to the same place/person. One of the Poppy stylists recently took over as the new owner of the salon so I'm excited to see what's coming next. They've already mentioned that new nail and lash services are coming soon.

I am crushed. I never go to salons ( I can ruin my hair at home for free) but it's my birthday next…read moreweek and I wanted to do something special and look good. Caitlyn was very nice and lovely to talk to but she destroyed my hair. I have included the before, reference and after pictures. I could tell she knew she had messed up and just kept cutting. After every round of thinning and snipping and thinning and snipping, she kept saying, "now that looks a little better" or "I'm starting to like that more." The bottom layer of my hair is thinned so much it is practically gone, taking away so many options for a redemption haircut that could look anything similar to the reference. She obliterated my bangs, they are so small and the same length as the top layer of hair she cut. Somehow even though I spent the whole appointment telling her "please don't make my hair round", "I hate round hair." "My hair does not look good rounded" it somehow got rounder and rounder with every cut. When she was done she said it "looks like that because it's not styled" and proceeded to hot iron it and try to give it style. It was still awful and she knew that. She tried to put gel in it and it did not help at all. Then she said the issue was that she "blow dried it with a round brush" and that we should wash it again and give it a more natural dry so it "looks more like the picture" the after photos I have attached are with that natural dry. At the very end as I was leaving she told me to wait and that she "missed a part" and went in for at least 5 more snips at the back before I said I had to go. I left crying and went to another salon to see what could be done to salvage it and they audibly gasped when they saw how uneven the hair was and recommended I reach out to the owner because this was "not okay." When I emailed poppy with these pictures asking for a refund, they said the best they could do was Caitlyn offer me a "complementary second cut to fix up some areas I'm unhappy with" and claimed my hair couldn't possibly look like the reference and it would if it was styled. She tried to style it and it only made it worse. She will not be touching my hair again. I have had bobs like that before, I KNOW my hair is not unable to look like that and that this reference picture was very obtainable for my hair type and length. 65$ more poor and I look like a coconut. My birthday is in 5 days and I cannot look in the mirror. UPDATE: When I spoke with the owner of poppy, Rach, she was incredibly accommodating and understanding. She got me in ASAP for an appointment with her and fixed my hair up. I loved that she stopped every step of the way to talk about what I thought. I was also given a conditioning treatment in addition to her fixing my hair up. She worked hard to make everything right. Rach was fantastic and I am MUCH more into my hair now!

So I made an appt for a consultation and was impressed by her knowledge of exactly what she would do to get the desired results. I booked an appt and got the perm. Historically when someone does my hair - and I know you've all experienced this - you slap on a ball cap, dark glasses and take the back roads home to redo a terrible comb out. Not this time, Ladies! When she got done with it, I was so impressed I proudly flaunted my curls all the way out the front door and 35 miles home!! Two weeks and a vacation later I still friggin' LOVE my hair...as does my husband....and have gotten so many compliments on it from old men to ethnic ladies and everyone in between. Looks so natural and is carefree. Can't wait for an excuse to go back!! But wait! There's more! Never have I ever received, in the mail or any other way, a hand signed "thank you" from the stylist/owner for my patronage and the opportunity to get to know me. That is a touch that won't soon be forgotten and pretty much seals the deal for life long loyalty. Although she pretty much had me at "perm rod" anyway. Check them out! You won't be disappointed.

I wanted to go lighter, but had trouble finding somebody willing to lighten my hair because they were worried about it being too brassy. I am absolutely blown away at how beautiful my hair turned out. It's gorgeous! She also cut my hair exactly as I asked for. (50.00) The extensions did not arrive overnight and when asked a tracking number she told me the order number was all she was given. All lies. When I went back to her with concerns of the extensions falling out she told me it was my own hair that was falling out and offered to pick up some Nioxin, L'anzia and some oil for me at the supply house. She quoted me $160.00 but when I got the products they were not what we discussed and she only got me the trial size bottles. She also told me I gave her a $60.00 tip which was absolutely ridiculous to assume. Who tips 60.00 for only products. She is scandolous and threatens people when they complain about her work I have been told. Although she never threatened to beat me up, she has threatened two other clients of hers who reached out to me through a post I made reviewing her on a social media platform.
