I attended a guided UTV tour near Four Peaks today and this was an absolute blast! The guided 2-hour excursion allowed participants to operate ATVs or UTVs, led by a knowledgeable and super fun guide. Our guide was Mitch. He provided expert guidance about the trails and terrain, random fun facts about Arizona and specifically the location we were riding through. 2 hours was the perfect amount of time to experience all different terrains. Stellar Adventures provided all of the safety gear, water, and photos & videos for FREE download. I recommend very small or slim styled sunglasses to wear under the required goggles. Highly recommend these guys. We split into two groups and toured with Tom and Cloverz. My group went with Tom. We did the UTV's. A little disappointing as we thought we were going to have the choice between ATV or UTV and we didn't. It was still a blast. My wife and I had a UTV to ourselves, so we got a lot more drive time in then the vehicles with 3-4 people. The UTV's are in great shape. They handle very well. We covered a lot of ground and it was very enjoyable. Tom is a colorful dude and did not hold back. He made it fun and made sure we were aware of what was coming up to keep us safe. Devo and Han are the best! Our group of 7 rented 4 UTVs and did a sunset tour. Han picked us up in Scottsdale and gave us great interesting info on the way to the trail. Devo was our main guide- super funny, very nice and gave us all the info we needed for a safe tour. This tour is a must. The sunset tour was so much fun! We did the utv's and it was a blast! Devo and everyone there were so amazing and helpful. It was a great experience and we would love to return. Only thing I will note is how much of a pain in the butt it is getting out there when you are from out of town and didn't drive. We flew from Texas and there were no rental cars available so we paid for Uber to/from the hotel "the scott" and then used Lyft back to our hotel. Uber will not organize a time to pick you up from the mountain and the initial address you see when you google "stellar adventures" isn't the address you'll be touring. But it's 100% worth the price of having them pick you up from the hotel if needed. My boyfriend said it was one of his favorite excursions in his life. Wish we could go back tomorrow read more

We took our exchange student from Ireland on a Hummer tour through the desert with Stellar Adventures, and it was an absolutely awesome experience! Visited on 8/2721. Was in in Phoenix for a week and found Stellar on google and Yelp. First time ATVer and literally one of the best experiences I've ever had. I booked the sunset tour which starts at 530pm and ends around 730pm. To start the tour you meet out a designated location in the desert about 30mins outside of Scottsdale/Phoenix. The tour Guide from Stellar was Devo and he was a rock star. He did a great job with a quick tutorial of how to operate the ATV and throughout the tour we stopped at different points to take pictures and discuss how to handle the forthcoming terrain. Riding through the desert with all types of nature around you was AMAZING. The landscape, changing terrain, the butterflies bouncing off you(haha) was just tranquil. DEVO rides ahead and captures plenty of photos and videos that he uploads after the tour and you can download for free. The tour was well worth the price and I highly recommend Stellar! read more

OK, so went expecting the 'usual' follow the leader on a guided tour. (thing horseback riding tours, slow and boring). BUT to my surprise, after assessing your abilities, they actually let you go at your own pace (withing reason!). They are safety conscious and made sure you follow the rules, and we never felt like they were not keeping an eye on us and being supervised. Ask for Colton!! That said I was able to get to 50MPH on the sand straight away in the river bottom, which is more than I should have. We are already looking into a group ride and cook out! read more

Coming from out of town for a family vacation we had no expectations but to have fun and that is just what we did, had the time of our lives. Why you ask? Because our adventure guide Mitch Godbold was one of the best guides we could have asked for. Besides just having us follow him he cared for the six of us in three UTV's (two in each) like we were his family. He gave us every tip and trick in the book to make our ride over all the different terrain fun, enjoyable and most of all safe. He did nothing but lead us on a path of ultimate fun. Each driver had an amazing time driving their vehicle and the passengers had just as much fun riding along. His pace and guidance was just the right amount, while most importantly letting each driver follow in line at their own comfortable pace. As this is already getting long, I could write so much more but will end with saying Stellar Adventures was the time of our lives, tons of nice people, great vehicles, and overall a place we all would go back to. Had a great time today (Saturday after thanksgiving), riding 4 wheelers. We had originally signed up for yesterday but my partner did not read the confirmation and we ended up going to the "home address" instead of trail location 45 minutes away. They were so nice and rebooked is the next day... I haven't road in over 35 years, and never in AZ, so I was VERY beginner. The trails were rugged and I opted to ride with our guide John for the rougher part of the trails. Beautiful day and scenery. Also learned a little desert history too! We had a spectacular time with Mitch as our guide! We ranged in ages from 20-56 years old and all of us had an adrenaline rushed filled time. At $195 per person I never thought I would say this, BUT IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY. We'll never forget this experience atv'ing deep in the Sonoran desert through washes, up and down hills on sketchy trails (Mitch explains how to maneuver through them), crashing through puddles, and all with the Saguaro cacti and the mountains on all sides. We had a tour with Cactus Jack (Howard Gangl) which was amazing. He was fully prepared with everything from blankets to ice cold water in the Hummer. He has a great sense of humor which made it very fun. But his knowledge of the animals, Indian culture, and especially the plant life was bountiful and detailed. He also took photos which we later downloaded to remind us of this very special and unique day. I highly recommend this tour.
