Today is 12 years ago June 19th that Kindred Hospital in Hollywood killed my Mother. Hollywood FL has some real questionable Doctors. They lied in her death certificate. They all failed my Mother miserably. Entitled selfish incompetence at its finest! After my Mother left Dr. YC office a Good Samaritan knocked on her window at a stop sign and had her pull over and called an ambulance. Their office is incoherent and inept! I lost my best friend my loving Mother who helped everyone the purest heart and soul. Be your own advocate. I had no idea my Mother's arteries were clogged. Why wouldn't a Doctor think if the Carotid artery is perhaps the others are too? Common sense!

Obviously, when people are calling a cardiologist's office they are probably nervous and overwhelmed. After taking my not even 30-year-old husband to the urgent care for heart palpitations this weekend we were told to get him in to see a cardiologist within one week. Our family doctor recommended Dr. Levy. Whoever picked up the phone was either having a bad day, or is in a competition for rude, condescending, and unprofessional receptionists. This woman was short and abrupt and when I explained that I had been told to get my husband in within the week, she laughed in the cattiest, rudest manner I have ever experienced in a professional setting and informed me that there are no appointments available for 1-2 months so "that's not happening." Any question I asked seemed to be the biggest imposition on her day and I was answered rudely EVERY. TIME. I was taken aback by her manner. I was finally told to get with my family doctor and "figure out what's going on, OKAY???" in such a nasty voice I thought I was watching a soap opera. I have absolutely no problem being told that a specialist is booked. I don't expect to be pampered like a princess, or have anyone bow down at my feet. However, I do expect to be treated with basic human decency and professional courtesy. I was so disgusted with the way I was treated that I can't ever imagine actually going to this office.

My husband has been going to this office for about 20 years and when another friend of mine recommended Dr. Moran I decided I would call and see if they would take me on as a new patient. The office is located in Plantation. It's an older building, but there is plenty of free parking all around. When I arrived at the office, there was not much of a wait, and the receptionist was friendly. She gave me some forms to fill out , (not too lengthy,) and I was called to come back as soon as I had completed the forms & paid my copayment. I had a nurse take my vitals and ask a little bit about my medical history. (I wasn't sick ; it was just a routine checkup.). Dr.Moran came in after a short wait. He was thorough, and easy to talk to. I didn't feel like I was being rushed out at all; we were able to have a honest conversation about my health. Upon checkout I scheduled my next appointment, and again the staff was extremely pleasant & helpful. I think I have found a new primary care doctor!
