I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the recent furniture purchase experience I have had with your company. As a customer who placed an order exceeding $25,000 for a new construction home, I expected a level of professionalism and service that, regrettably, has not been met.
To begin with, I want to acknowledge that my interaction with the salesperson at your Kenosha location was commendable. They were professional and courteous, which is why I was initially optimistic about my purchase. However, this positive impression was quickly overshadowed by the appalling quality of your delivery service and the overall handling of my order.
The first delivery, out of the Bolingbrook warehouse which was part of a total of four shipments for the same product, was a complete disappointment. The delivery team consisted of two drivers who appeared to be under the influence of pot, as evidenced by their smell and demeanor. During this initial delivery, the first item--an essential piece of furniture--was awkwardly pushed through my front door and collided with a nearby wall, causing damage to my new wall. Additionally, several items arrived damaged, dirty, and unfit for use, necessitating their return.
Over the course of the following week, a second shipment of the same items arrived. Unfortunately, these items were no better--still damaged and dirty, clearly not inspected or handled properly at your warehouse. It was disheartening to see that the quality control and inspection processes within your warehouse management team appear to be severely lacking. The repeated delivery of damaged merchandise suggests a systemic failure that reflects poorly on your company's commitment to customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, I have recently received a third batch of products, which I inspected directly while still on the truck. During this inspection, I accepted only two items, as the remaining items were still damaged or dirty, further eroding my confidence in your company's standards.
Most recently, I was awaiting a custom ottoman that was to be part of this order. This piece arrived damaged and dirty as well, and I have now decided to return it. Despite your company's purported customer-centric policies, I am being met with resistance, primarily because this was a custom order. Your representatives have offered to repair the ottoman--a proposal I find unacceptable, given the value of the piece ($700) and the repeated issues I have encountered. No customer should have to settle for repairs of such an expensive item, especially after multiple mishandlings.
At this stage, I have no confidence that your company is capable of rectifying these issues satisfactorily. I have informed your team that I will be returning the damaged ottoman and will not accept any repairs. Additionally, I wish to make it clear that I will be involving my credit card company and legal counsel to seek resolution and compensation for the numerous inconveniences, damages, and gross mishandling of my order.
In summary, the repeated delivery of damaged, dirty, and poorly handled furniture over four separate occasions demonstrates a profound lack of care and accountability on your company's part. Such service failures are unacceptable and have caused significant frustration and disappointment. I would strongly advise against using your company for any future furniture purchases.
I trust you will take this feedback seriously and work to address these systemic issues, although at this point, I am left with no confidence that they can be resolved satisfactorily. Please confirm receipt of this letter and advise on the next steps for the return process and any compensation due.
