I was late to the Botox game, starting at age 49 or 50. I knew I did not want to go to just anyone and end up worse than I started. I was terrified of getting the dreaded brow drop. The first person I finally trusted to do my first Botox, (not this office) did great the first two times but something was off on the third. I'm a medical person. My experience undergoing rhinoplasty surgery with Dr. Steiger was actually my first (and likely only) cosmetic procedure - something I've always wanted to get done, and finally pulled the trigger this year. I went into my search for a surgeon with a TON of questions, and I also did a hefty amount of research around things to look out for when choosing a surgeon/facility. Needless to say, I learned a ton along the way, but one of the most important takeaways was the importance of finding a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. Most professionals agree that rhinoplasty is among the most complex cosmetic procedures out there, and a matter of millimeters can make all the difference. There's also a huge difference between a "cosmetic surgeon" and a "board-certified plastic surgeon" (board-certified plastic surgeons need to complete at least six to eight years of specific training by an accredited plastic surgery training program in the United States that is regulated by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), whereas anyone with an MD can call themselves a "cosmetic surgeon"). Dr. Steiger happens to be double board-certified as a plastic surgeon. I actually found Dr. Steiger by Googling/Yelping "rhinoplasty" and "nose job surgeons" in South Florida. From what I read and saw on his social media, he met all the marks I was looking for: board-certified, specializes in rhinoplasty (performs a ton every week), and his practice doesn't offer any plastic procedures beyond the facial area (this is a good sign). I really cannot say enough about how impressed I was about the overall experience, starting with the consultation and ending with my 3-month post-op appointment. To begin, his nurses and assistants are very sweet and welcoming, and made jokes along the way that made my experience all the more enjoyable. During my consultation, Dr. Steiger spent way more time with me than I was expecting, answering all of the questions I had about the procedure, outcomes, post-op, etc. I think what impressed me most (apart from the actual outcome, which i'm very happy with) was how minimal my swelling and bruising was after the surgery. Dr. Steiger primarily does open rhinoplasty, which is slightly more invasive than closed, but it allows for more precision and accuracy. I've had many friends undergo open rhinoplasty procedures with other doctors, and so often complain about black eyes, severe bruising, and the need for serious pain meds after. My experience with Dr. Steiger was completely different - I had almost no swelling, no bruising to my eye area, and when I got the splint off a week after, my nose already looked incredible. Finally, the period after rhinoplasty for me was fraught with many questions about recovery, going out in the sun, wearing sunglasses, what to eat, etc. I was calling into Dr. Steiger's office sometimes a few times each week with questions, and his staff were always there for me to advise me on what to do. When making such an important decision, for one of our most important attributes in life being our face, it is important that you get several opinions and do your research and due diligence before proceeding with any procedures. I trusted his suggestions and was all in. What sets Dr. Steiger apart from other surgeons, among many things, is his technique where he doesn't just lift the skin but he repairs the ligaments underneath. Elyse who also is a surgical technician is also amazing and reassured me that everything I was going through in the recovery process was normal and to be expected and she has the knowledge to answer any medical questions, along with her fun, colorful personality that I love! Luz was my main RN, who checked me in and was by my side with a compassionate manner during the operation and who I will continue to see for post Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Also a huge call out to the anesthesiologist Dr. Keusch because for me this is the scariest part of all. I hate needles and the process of being put to sleep makes me more anxious than anything. I experienced zero pain when he inserted the needle......That's a biggie! Kind and a great bedside manner. And by the way, Steiger's skin care line is pretty awesome too. No pressure from them to buy the products but I opted to try their sunscreen moisturizer which is very light and leaves no filmy feeling and I especially like the tinted sunscreen moisturizer. I had Dr. Steiger do my rhinoplasty surgery 2 months ago. I had a severely deviated septum and have always wanted my nose to look smaller and more turned up then the one I was born with. I always suffered with genetically, inherited under eye bags. Which in result made me look tired and the puffiness was only getting worse as time progressed. Last year, in August I made the decision to have this procedure done after finding Dr. Steiger online. I was excited to find out he was located in Boca Raton, Fl. When I went in for my consultation I was so amazed with the beautiful facility I walked into. Dr. Steiger's staff were so nice and welcoming and I instantly made the decision that he would be the doctor for my procedure. I had no outer incisions or any scars. My whole procedure lasted about 45 mins and under local anesthetics; I was up literally 5-10 mins after my procedure was over. I was surprised at how good I actually felt post-procedure. Recovery was about 2 weeks strong for me because I had lots of swelling and bruising (which is normal). There was no actual pain afterwards just tenderness. Once I was fully recovered the change was so drastic, yet so subtle I was receiving compliments on how much fresher and younger I looked even though no one knew about my procedure. Three years ago I had a lower face lift, neck lift and laser..When the bandages were taken off I had a large hole on my right cheek, yes a hole..The doctor and nurse assured me that it was part of healing..Really!! It took a year and a half for the hole to close leaving a indentation on my cheek. Around the chin area spread quite wide was scar tissue and loss of pigmentation. I also have a large scar in front of my left ear. I now have a great doctor tackling the scarring and a dermatologist trying to fix the loss of pigmentation..The laser went far too deep. I went back twice to show him the hole in my cheek and the large scars and he walked over to a machine and grabbed a wand and applied it to my ear for about 20 seconds..I don't think it was on. Of course it didn't change anything. Twenty one years ago I had a lower face lift that was beyond perfect and flawless and lasted eighteen years..I'm starting to get wri nkels through the cheek area and around the lower face it's beginning to drop, AFTER THREE YEARS!!!!! To say I'm disappointed is an understatement...Don't go by reviews, ask doctors, nurses, dermatologists who are in the know about what doctors are good or bad. Be very careful.. read more

I do not usually leave reviews, however I'm so impressed with Dr Steiger and the results of my rhinoplasty that I need to share my experience for anyone contemplating using his services (and given I rely on reviews so extensively when making decisions, I'm hoping this will be helpful to others). Dr Steiger did my rhinoplasty six weeks ago. Before seeing Dr Steiger, I undertook extensive online research to select the short list of doctors to have an initial consultation with. One of the key reasons for selecting Dr Steiger is his specialization on the face (you don't want the breast augmentation specialist who does the occasional rhinoplasty working on your nose!). In the initial consultations, the Dr. was extremely helpful and patient in answering all of my questions, and understood the exact outcome I was looking for (which he demonstrated by altering my photo on his computer to simulate the 'after' picture). Leading up the surgery, he was also available to answer any questions or concerns I had (as were his very lovely staff members). Even after the surgery he was always available, and extremely responsive in answering my questions as I recovered. Now for the results! I couldn't be happier. The bridge of my nose was the main reason for my rhinoplasty, and it simply looks amazing. And surprisingly (given he reduced the width of bone on the bridge by a considerable amount), no one has noticed - not even my mother (although I personally see a huge difference when I look in the mirror, and especially when my photo is taken. I have the usual mild swelling on the tip of my nose which is subsiding, but it doesn't seem noticeable to anyone else!). The Dr is also a perfectionist (which is exactly what you want with your surgeon) and also fixed some asymmetry on the tip of my nose. I now have an extremely natural looking, beautiful nose, that fits my face perfectly. It looks like the nose I was born with, and I can't believe I waited this long to get it done! Dr Steiger is very caring and personable, and took a lot of stress and concern out of the entire surgery process - his surgical work speaks for itself.
