The recommendation of the dermatologist was to have Dabbah close and reconstruct the area where he had done his excision. By doing this, we would be ensured the cleanest and least noticeable scar. And indeed it was! Dabbahs practice is small, he has had the same receptionist, medical assistant and tech - which says a lot about the stability of his practice. He is never rushed, does an extensive presentation explained the results of your biopsy and explains (and even draws a picture) of what he plans to do. He uses a private outpatient surgery center and has a routine established there. His recent move to a new facility has allowed him to expand his space and design it in a more luxurious vibe. But don't forget- much of what he does relates to aesthetic considerations, he also addresses excisions reconstructions and closure. I have had 4 done over 10+ years and am quite pleased. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. man after doing a great amount of research, and I put a deposit down that day. One thing that I particularly like about him is his honest and straightforward nature. Not going to lie, he definitely has an small ego, but I would too if I was as skilled and talented as he is. One of the things that I pleasantly recall is, during the consultation, we were discussing size/shape, and he quite abruptly stated he wasn't going to do anything bigger than a C, as it would look cartoonish. Some people might have been put off by this comment, but I genuinely appreciated it. I definitely didn't want anything bigger than a C already, but it was really nice to hear that he really takes pride in his work and is not willing to do procedures that resemble the outcome of a back alley surgeon. The Surgery: My experience was overall pleasant. The day of the surgery, both him and his staff did a wonderful job and keeping me comfortable. Obviously I don't remember the actual surgery, but afterwards there was not nearly as much pain as I had previously assumed there would be. Everything went well, and the recovery was as pleasant as it could be. All of the staff were extremely attentive and really did an excellent job. Recovery: I have a few autoimmune diseases, which probably affect pain reception and my ability to heal. I was essentially stuck in bed for about two weeks after the surgery, but that was to be expected because of my illness. I took much longer to heal than his average patient, but he was absolutely on top of everything, and his staff were always extremely happy to answer any questions that I had. The Result: Obviously at first, I was worried about the results of the surgery because everything was extremely swollen, things were crooked, etc. But once they started healing better I was absolutely elated. What is everything settle down, you could really see that they had taken a very natural shape, and were absolutely perfectly symmetrical. They felt, looked, and moved as if they were 100% real. Because of my autoimmune diseases, the scarring didn't heal as properly as I would've liked, but they are absolutely not visible unless one were to investigate thoroughly. No it's almost 5 years later, and I can absolutely say that I couldn't have possibly been happier in my experience with Dr. Man and his office. TLDR: Dr. Man is amazing and a true artist, He can absolutely be trusted to perform the highest quality procedures.
