Stefano's came to the rescue at the last minute through Door Dash, the pizza showing up hot and heavy. We ordered the 14 inch Cheese Pizza topped with beef, jalapeños, onions, and olives. It had a unique taste coming from I don't know what - and it was delicious. The jalapeños were especially spicy, which was a plus. I very much recommend this for good local pizza. read more

Came here for lunch because I saw they had Italian nachos and I have loved nachos at other pizza and Italian restaurants. I looked at the menu and based on the discloses ingredients I chose to order that along with a side salad. The salad came out first and was absolutely delicious, the ranch was amazing, the croutons were extra crispy, and the lettuce was very green and fresh, all very delicious. The Italian nachos came out and I was immediately disappointed, they were covered in red onion. I have a borderline allergy/sensitivity to onions therefore I fully avoid them to avoid any issues. I tried to scrape them off and just eat around them, but even without the onion the nachos were just gross. I'm not sure if it's was the main taste of oil or I didn't like the Alfredo sauce or what, but after 3 bites I gave up, there was no way I could finish the nachos. I went back up to the front and let the person know that the menu did not mention onions and I can't eat onions therefore I couldn't eat the nachos and needed something else. While restaurants are not legally required to disclose every ingredient used, I think it's pretty shady to not include what's on top of something like nachos. It was not offered to remake the nachos without the onion, it wasn't offered for me to get something else on the house, and I'm a passive person so I will admit I didn't mention it but was peeved that I had to pay for something else in order to eat. I chose a small pizza, it ended up being really good. It wasn't NY style which I was expecting from the name/decor/etc, but maybe a larger pizza would be better. I'm not sure if I'll be back, maybe for the salad alone. But I'm still disappointed I spent $12 on something I couldn't eat and will end up in the trash. They also don't have water from the fountain, so if you're a water drinker I guess bring your own water bottle versus paying $2+ for water. TLDR If you have allergies or food aversions I highly recommend you ask about EVERYTHING that comes on the food to avoid excess spending. Otherwise the salad is good. read more

We were craving a crispy pizza with good tasting garlic bread but was not happy with the bread. The flavor of the pizza was really good, however what made me not give it a full 5 stars was the fact that the pizza was very soggy. We were not sure if we could have returned the pizza especially with COVID restrictions to get it crispier. Since the pizza was very soggy, all the ingredients kept falling off. The garlic knots were missing flavor the only garlic that I tasted was on the butter melt that was glazed on top of the bread. The overall feel of the restaurant is very quiet and not a lot of people, which makes it comfortable to dine-in. Might give it another try but before getting the pizza I'll make sure to tell them to really cook the pizza. read more

RGV is known for their copius amounts of great quality mexican cuisine, not their pizza. Well Stefano's is one of 1..2, places that I can in good conscience recommend to my friends and family to try and eat. And it al starts with their dough. Definitely New York thin style crust with just enough crisp on the bottom to form the pie but also soft on top. Its a fine mixture not to be confused with uncooked. I was a little dissapointed with the thickness and length but its a minor set back as we are not in brooklyn(man I miss NYC pizza) but Stefano's is very very close and makes me think of New York as I bite into it. Hands down this is the best pizza in the area. I just arrived back from New York where I ate pizza in 4 out of the 5 Burroughs. This stands up to anything I had in NYC. Also their lemon pepper wings are delicious. You won't need them, but the garlic knots are authentic and yummy. All of the staff was great. The owner was giving tables samples of the desserts. The chocolate cake is fantastic. The cheese cake is not my favorite, but then again I just got back from New York City and I've never had cheesecake outside of NYC that I really liked. Great food. I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, cheese sticks and the Nutella pizza. Everything was literally amazing. The shrimp alfredo was creamy with fresh spinach and the shrimp were huge tail on shrimp! The marinara that came with the cheese sticks was perfect. It really hit the spot. And I love a good dessert pizza so that Nutella pizza was the best. The pizza wasn't my style, which I've come to terms with living in this region. The parmesan wings were good, but would've been better not floating in a pool of oil. What I was very impressed with was the customer service. We were very well taken care of from start to finish and that really stood out to me. They explained the menu to us as first timers, brought our order to the table, checked on us midway and then boxed up the leftovers. Not something I expected from a place with 'Express' in the name.
