I visited Stefania's Boutique In Cranston, Rhode Island after traveling from central, Massachusetts. I had heard and seen such great reviews, and decided to check it out for myself. I entered the doors and was overwhelmed by the amount of dresses. I really had no idea of what I wanted. I was told by the stunning and friendly salesperson - I assume it was Stefania because she was behind the register- that there were a lot more dresses upstairs. To say that I surprised by the amount of dresses and every color of the rainbow available would be an understatement. I didn't even know where to start looking. However, the women s upstairs were very helpful and knowledgeable pointing me in the right direction and room to begin, and were there for every step of my experience. There is literally something for everyone. I had a specific question, and the women working there answered it immediately. They know their inventory of thousands of dresses, and if they don't, Stefania is always there to help. This dress shop was perfect for the event for which it was intended. I was able to try on several dresses and come out and stand on a pedestal in order to see the dress from every angle. It's also a one-stop-shop - they have shoes and accessories, matching bow ties, and alterations are done on the premises. It was well worth the short drive from Massachusetts, and I highly recommend this Boutique for your special event. I went here today after seeing their instagram and I loved so many of the dresses but I looked at the price tag of a plain black dress and it was $300. I could get a plain black dress like that for $75 at Windsor at the Warwick Mall. Not only were the prices outrageous, the staff was as well. I tried on a dress that fit completely fine and a staff member said "Oh god no, you need to size up" and after I gave her a look she switched it up and said "that's just my opinion but whatever you think fits". Don't worry! It wasn't just this lady. Another lady came up to my friend when she was holding a dress in her hands for maybe 2 minutes and said "are you going to buy that?". My friend told the lady she was thinking about it and asking her mom and dad what they thought and asked if they could put dresses on hold until the end of the night and the lady looked at her like she was a disgrace and disrespectfully said "no...". Worst prom dress shopping experience ever. Go to Windsor or David's Bridal in Warwick, less than 10 minutes away. They have cute dresses for cheaper and amazing staff that are always happy to help and always positive. read more

My daughter Jenny is getting married May 29 of this year and we drove over an 1 hr. 40 minutes from CT to find my beautiful Jovani dress at Stefania's Boutique. I am so glad I choose this boutique because we were able to meet the nicest owners - Stefania and her mom Antoinette - it was worth the trip! They're helpful but the no returns policy is ridiculous. My daughter has severe body dysmorphia. She bought a dress from there two months ago and now puts it on and bawls her eyes out. She cries, throws up, and is now considering not going to her dance even though she spent roughly $500 on this dress because they won't allow her to EXCHANGE for something different that she feels more confident in. She isn't asking for money back, just to find a different dress. Imagine being so heartless and pathetic of a place that you don't allow a girl who just wants to have the night of her life but also struggles with body image not about to pick out a different dress STILL FROM YOUR ESTABLISHMENT. Literally disgusted by this place and the people who work here. I don't care how "explicitly/clearly" you stated that you don't take returns. Some things are out of people's control. I think it is absolutely ridiculous to purchase a $500.00 dress and take it out in a cheap plastic bag! Now if I don't go to my private tailor and have Stefani's do the alterations..... I would take my dress home in a nice cloth garment bag? Customer service..... the absolute most important thing to me.... which you are severely lacking! Stefania is very nice. She will make sure you and your date look amazing for prom, and she even goes far enough to remember your name, even when she has countless customers. My dress was expensive but totally worth it. I wish I would've went there for my two proms last year, but I'm thankful to have found her and her boutique for my senior prom. read more

I have bought 2 dresses from this boutique. The customer service is absolutely exceptional. Right from the beginning, from finding dresses to try on to the very end in purchasing the perfect dress was so easy. I'm normally stressed when trying to find a dress, yet there was zero stress here. I love that they are not afraid to let you know what doesn't look right on you. As a very stubborn and hard to please teenager, I entered Stofania's in a very skeptical mood. However, what I left with was the most beautiful, yet affordable, dress that I could ever dream of. The cute Italian lady that seemed to be the owner did not give up on finding me exactly what I wanted. She was quickly able to understand my style, what I was looking for, and what would look good on me. Dresses are nicely organized by their sizes and it's a cute little paradise really. Large selection of dresses but not many at all sizes 14 and up. Not sure I even saw anything above a 14. Then they tell me to go a size or two up because they can run small but I can't do that if you don't even have the sizes. Workers did not pay attention to me really at all. And didn't say anything when we left the store. Would recommend Alexandra's in Fall River since they carry the same brands but have more sizes and nicer workers read more

Stefania was really friendly and helpful and helped me to find a dress, but the other salesperson was too busy talking with some other girls the whole time and didn't really care about helping me find stuff. The first time I went there there was only one older lady working there who was exceptionally helpful and sweet and really made the whole dress shopping experience a great one. I recently went back to buy another dress and this time there were multiple different people working there. While waiting for a dressing room, one of the workers took the dresses from another shopping asking her if one of them was really in her budget, refusing to let her try it on because she's not allowed to try on dresses "just for fun". This worker also laughed in my face when I asked if I could put a dress on hold. I wasn't mad that they couldn't hold it but the way she laughed in my face was very disrespectful. The workers were also not afraid to comment on how a dress I loved did not look good on me with judgmental looks. I am very disappointed and will never be going back there again/ Try Sonya's down the street, they have most of the same dresses but a much nicer staff! read more

Love! Love! Love! Two of my daughters have purchased prom gowns from Stefania's Boutique and we have had another 4 or 5 dresses altered by them as well. This boutique offers good old fashioned Italian charm and their customer service is superb. The owner is not afraid to tell you when a gown doesn't look good on you and her ability to pull a gown that she just knows WILL look good on you, seemingly out of no where, is just incredible. She seems to know each and every gown in her inventory of what must be at least a 1,000 gowns. She will look you up and down and the next thing you know she's head deep into a rack of gowns pulling out the one perfect gown for you. She's also the seamstress and is very skilled at her craft. If you want the perfect gown this is the place to go. Stefania's Boutique is a Cranston gem and it's no wonder all the girls from both Cranston East and Cranston West know this is the place to go for a prom gown! read more
