She was patient throughout the appointment while fully supporting my likes and dislikes, without being pushy. I found Helene's online after searching for designers that I liked and made an appointment in advance with Anna. The day of, there was a mix-up between my appointment and a bride who had come in and they apologized profusely again and again for it. (Apparently people think brides are always thisclose to acting like Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters after she's taken over by Zuul). No biggie - my mother-in law and I waited for while until they finished up. I told Anna my budget, showed her the pictures she asked me to bring and she started pulling dresses out. I must have tried on at least a dozen dresses and found 2 that I liked, 1 that I loved. She helped me into each dress and took the time to pull, pinch and zip everything so that it fit as best it could. She pulled one or two dresses over my price point (but very slightly over) and told me before I tried any of them on that they were over my budget, but did I still want to try them. I appreciated this a lot because some salons a) don't ask your budget and b) will pull a dress out that is beautiful on you, until you see that the price tag is 3x what you want to pay. The salon is somewhat on the smaller side, though the room where you try on the dresses is bigger - if you are the only one in there at the time. I was able to go on a Tuesday morning and we had the place to ourselves. The dresses are lovely and the service was great, but the one thing that irks me about Helene's is that they don't allow you to take pictures of you in the dress. My mom/sister/50% of my bridesmaids live out of state and I wanted to be able to text them photos of the dresses. It might not be a huge deal for most people, but to me it was somewhat of a deal breaker. (Also, I don't get why some stores don't allow this. I will use my Nancy Drew slueth-ing skills when your back is turned to figure out the dress designer + price tag and then Google it. Age of the Internet, homies.) Overall, I enjoyed my experience there (sans the picture thing) and really appreciated the customer service and quality of dresses at Helene's. Definitely worth a visit on your dress tour!

She sent us home with both sizes so that we could be sure that he was both handsome and comfortable - no extra charge. The owner went above and beyond! She was friendly and helpful. We were able to make appointments at convenient times. I thought the price of a tux rental would be outrageous but it was actually less costly than buying my sons a pair of appropriate dress slacks and a shirt for the occasion, especially considering that they'd probably just outgrow those before wearing them again. Great service, great selection, and great price! My only regret is that I irresponsibly took months to write this review. The shop owner deserved better for all that she did for us! I went to Sueno about 8 months in advance of our wedding to alter my mom's wedding dress. I figured…read morethis would be plenty of time to make alterations. We would always schedule appointments in advance to try on the dress following the agreed upon alterations Unfortunately, every time I went to an appointment, no alterations were made to the dress. I was constantly promised that the alterations would be made "next time". I went to several more appointments and the same thing continued to happen, nothing was done and more promises to have it done for next time. At about 1.5 months before our wedding, I went to an appointment and was told I had to "look for my dress in the back of the store because it could not be found". After searching through the back of the store, I found the dress and once again, no alterations had been made. After leaving defeated and with more promises that the dress would be ready in time, I spoke to my mom and decided to call Sueno one day later to take the dress back and no longer wear it for the wedding. After leaving several messages, I finally got through to the store and let them know I was taking the dress back and no longer needed alterations. When it was time to pick up the dress, the dress was completely destroyed and cut up. We are not sure why this happened when nothing had been done for 8 months and I had just called a day after my appointment to say that no work was needed. In addition to destroying the dress, we were also told that we needed to pay for "all of the work done". Overall, this was a complete disaster and I do not recommend anyone to go to this place for any alterations, especially a wedding dress.

She went through the options of renting vs buying a suit and took some measurements. She asked a few questions to narrow down the accessories (vest, suspenders, bow tie, traditional tie, shoes etc) and brought over a few jackets for my son to try on. We decided to rent the blue suit (for $229 which comes with a button down shirt you get to keep, plus a tie, and shoes to wear for the event) and buy the black suit (for $299 plus alterations) She took our deposit and we were done. We were in and out in 30 minutes and totally happy with our selections. Next up, sizing, alterations, and pickup. Hoping the next step goes as smooth as our visit today.

After we arrived, multiple white customers came in after us and were helped immediately--greeted, toured through the store, and shown suit options by several staff members. Meanwhile, we were told to "look around" and left standing without any assistance. This happened repeatedly--each time a white couple entered, they were prioritized while we were overlooked. The most blatant moment was when a white couple was shown matching shoes right in front of us, while we stood less than a foot away still waiting. No one in our group is white, and the stark contrast in treatment felt racially motivated. We waited over 30 minutes before someone finally came over to help us, and even then, the staff member seemed visibly annoyed that we were trying on suits. This was supposed to be a celebratory moment for a groom preparing for his big day. Instead, it became a frustrating experience marked by unequal treatment. We truly hope this business reflects on how it treats all its customers moving forward.

The clerk was nice and helpful with my questions but he mentioned how slow business has been this year. He explained that they do in-house tailoring to help customize the look. The suit I chose needed to be taken in the sleeve, the pant's hem and the sides. The prices for those were very reasonable. My husband got a suit as well and he was very happy with the choices and the selection. He also will have his tailored to fit. Good customer service and great advantage to be able to get the suit customized in 3-4 days.
