I leased a 2025 Trax through Steet Ponte Chevy. I had an appointment for April 3rd to replace the fuel sensor. The one that came in was cracked and needed to be reordered. I just got off the phone with the service department: Earliest appointment is the 21st. This is the second time I have needed to come back to the dealership for a repair because they had no parts. First instance was the backup camera. I don't have the time off work to keep running to the dealership to get my car fixed. read more

I had a car accident on November 17th 2022. I did not get my car back until April 15th 2023. I know some factors played into the delay; like state farm taking 2 weeks to send out someone to review, and parts being a worldwide problem. I get that, but this plays deeper than those matters. I was in contact with a Body shop manager from Steet named Tim. Tim told me My car would be ready first two weeks of January, when that date came around, he told me the end of January and when that date came around it was hard to get into contact with him. I left SEVERAL messages and even When I did talk to him in January, I told him that I am losing out on money paying for rentals. Fast Forward to the end of March, still without my car and no word from Tim, I finally I get a call (after complaining to my insurance company) from someone named Pete who tells me they "Fired" Tim and they have a loaner they could give me. So, Since January I could have been riding in one of their rentals but because of THEIR employee Tim, I am out Over 4000 Dollars in rentals (State Farm only covered up to $1000). I tell him the issue I had and how much money I have lost, and his response was "they can't control what Tim did and his ineptitude." He's YOUR employee, this blunder is on you as it is him. Not only did I NOT get any discounts off for the errors they made (ordering wrong parts, loaner not being given etc). They couldn't even give me a free inspection Which expired in January. They gave me back my car with an expired sticker and I got pulled over and ticketed because of it as I left the dealership. This was one of the worse experiences ever. I wish they was more customer and consumer friendly as they know they played fault in the delay of my car being repaired and me being out of money. I do want to give them some praise though. When I picked up my car, they were very friendly, very polite. (Tim or Pete wasn't there) and My car looks good and drives good. So just to be fair I do want to put that in here. read more

They are absolutely HORRIBLE! Brand new 2024 Colorado with 8 miles and the check engine light was on when I started it up to drive off the lot. Dealer said it was probably from sitting in the cold with a near dead battery and reset the light. Said if it comes back on to call. Well it came on and then went off on 2 separate occasions so they told me to bring it in. Diagnosed as a bad master cylinder. Said it would be a 4 hour job. Dropped it off at night so they could get right on it the next morning. At 4:30 pm that day I went there because they said they had a late start but it would definitely be done by 4:30. It wasn't. Needed more time. Next day was Sat and they called me to say it was out for a test drive and would be ready by noon. Went there, got the keys, started it up and more warning lights came on and it lit up like a Christmas tree! They couldn't seem to care less. Oh well, guess we'll have to keep it longer to see what the problem is. Fast forward to Monday. They call me and claim GM sent them a bad master cylinder and they had to order a new one. Now fast forward to Friday. I haven't heard a peep from the dealer! So as of today, they have had my BRAND NEW truck for a week to complete a 4 hr job (their words). Had Toyota's for 10 years and NEVER had any issues! Big mistake buying a Chevy, but the bigger mistake was buying from Steet-Ponte Chevy in Herkimer, NY. Buyer beware of this dealership!!!!!! Traveling from Az. To Bar Harbor Me. on a three month travel trailer excursion. In Cooperstown NY our GMC Sierra diesel truck signaled a fuel issue. We immediately had the vehicle towed to Steet Ponte Chevrolet.. 3036 NY - 28, Herkimer, NY. "11" days, $450.00 to the dealer, $1000 for a rental car, plus a two week extended stay in a campground, we were told nothing was wrong! NOT!! My husband felt uncomfortable with Steet Ponte diagnosis. We sadly aborted the rest of our adventure heading southwest, back to Az. 115 miles later, signal shows AGAIN! Luckily we located a dealer, Mathew's Chevrolet, Vestal, NY. In ten minutes the issue was recognized. Our entire fuel system needs replacing! How'd Steet Ponte Chevrolet miss that! In my opinion, lack of knowledge plus improper diagnostics has cost us the trip of a lifetime! Hoping Steet Ponte sees this posting.
