I usually order a white kratom with lemon juice and tell them to surprise me with the flavors that they choose, and I have not been disappointed so far, and don't believe that I ever will be! They have every conceivable flavor, from fruity, tropical, savory and floral flavors to choose from! They also have kava kava here (which is best with coconut milk and cinnamon, in my opinion) and they have lattes and a large selection of teas! I have a thing for tea! If you ask my hubs, I have an addiction. Well, I say the first step is to admit the addiction.....so Hi, my name is Brigitte L. and I have a tea addiction! When I saw this place in passing I added it to my list of places to try (of course). Well, today I had some time to take a quick lunch break so decided to get some tea from a new place. Definitely not what I expected upon walking in! I thought it was going to be more like a walk up and order type of place but this is the total opposite. It's literally a TEA BAR!! The vibe is pretty cool, somewhere where you can hang with friends and chill. This place has a bar seating area as well as a couch area where you can sit back and relax as you enjoy your tea. CBD and Kava selections also available. They have ping pong and some other games as well as charging stations at the bar for your electronics. We were not greeted when we walked in but that's no biggie -- the tea barista was busy making some goodness for another patron that was there at the bar. The place was not busy at all. The tea bar tender came over to ask what we were drinking -- I ordered the Passion Fruit Mango Rootbos (iced). She brewed it fresh so it took about 5 minutes and they ask if you want it sweetened which I opted for unsweet. Great flavor! My friend got the Strawberry Kiwi Herbal tea lightly sweetened and she said hers was really good also. I didn't snap a pic of my tea because I was too busy enjoying it LOL. Next time, for sure. I love Botanical tea but have just moved from St Pete to Tampa so I had to try out the local Kava bars. If I'm being completely honest, I don't love the Kratom at Steep Station St. Pete, the taste is good but it isn't very strong. But I had hopes that maybe it would be better here. On the contrary, it wasn't super good tasting (that might have more to do with the flavors I picked) but it was white powdery. And it wasn't very potent. It's possible it was just a bad batch. I'll definitely come back to try again. It's cute inside, though quite male dominated environment if that makes sense. Like nearly all Kava bars, everyone is super friendly and talkative. Meeting new friendly people in these spaces makes it all so much more enjoyable! read more

I can't believe I have driven past this here so many times and never have walked in. We bought a groupon here, so we decided to use it. Initially we thought the Groupon was for take home drinks but it's for actual product.we were able to go home with $50 worth of product with the Groupon. Upon walking in, it looks like a cool hangout spot equipped with a bar (tea bar) and many stations for studying. This would be a perfect spot to get some work done as they have outlets everywhere for phones and computers. There was a girl working there behind the bar and we showed her our Groupon. We knew nothing about what they offered. I asked her what Kratum was since they sell it. She gave me an in depth explanation and let us try some. Kratum has a matcha consistency and helps with relaxation or focus. We brought some home with our Groupon. We also got carrot cake loose leaf tea that smells and tastes amazing. In addition they have açaí bowls!! They have many different exotic teas on their wall. With teavana closing, I am happy that I have a place near to get good loose leaf tea. Coming from someone who's had dozens of acai bowls this one Is by far one of the worst. A slimy hoppy soup bowl is more what's it's like. Acai should be blended up thick, tastes like a smoothie in a bowl with a bunch of added sugar. My biggest concern is the bowl I ordered came with almond butter and they put peanut butter in it, given that peanuts are a big allergen I don't understand how you it's possibly ok to swap these out. Given that's it's +$2 additional to add almond butter Im pretty sure it wouldn't have been any good quality because this peanut butter is clearly jiffy brand. If your going to charge almost $11 for a bowl at least put some heart into the products you sell. Low quality mix ins and a soupy base. What a disappointing lunch! read more

I stopped in here just for a quick drink after shopping in the adjacent Skechers outlet store. It is a nicely decorated bar with couches and tables. I had never had Kava before so I tried the Kava Chai Latte. The barista explained that Kava is a root found in South Asia and it has depressant like effects though not on the order of alcohol. My mom was with me and wanted a standard cup of coffee. The barista said they didn't have any (WTF?) so she got an espresso. When she got her drink, she said it was cold. I got mine and it tasted like a mix between a standard iced coffee and a tonic made from vegetables. It had a weird aftertaste and I just finished it quickly. Despite my item being $5.50 on the board above us and the espresso being $3, we were charged $12.84. That is ridiculous. Even with tax, the total should have been $9. Either they charge for cream and sugar or there was an error by the barista. In addition to this, there were 2 other customers coming and cursing up a storm which was making me want to just leave quickly. We also never got a receipt which was annoying. I was about to raise a fuss, but my mom said just to go. A few hours later, I had a bad headache and my mouth felt yucky. With the product being unpleasant and the outrageous price, I won't return. read more

I was a little hesitant to try this because of the different opinions over Kratom, but I am happy to say I had a positive response. Mike was very helpful and I got there around happy hour so I got two drinks for the price of one. Although I did eat a few hours prior to drinking, I don't think I ate enough. After I got home I began to feel ill and threw up - Mike warned me this may happen if I hadn't eaten enough so I blame myself. Also I got the raspberry vanilla mint tea that was absolutely delicious. It has a lot of other eastern and alternative medicines provided so not a great place for kids or families. While they have a good selection of loose leaf teas, not as vast as some other tea houses around Tampa. They don't have any many food options as other tea houses and their website/online menu does not provide a full list of available teas. I tried the blended iced coffee with Kratom added cinnamon and vanilla syrup. The drink was tasty and refreshing,with a light buzz in a good way from the Kratom. The owner Dillon and I chatted for a while and he told me the idea is to come in ,hang out with the free WIFi and in the luxury couches to socialize and relax. The shop has plenty of seating and is spacious enough . The shop will also have live music on friday in the future. Interesting little place. I was informed of this kratom by a friend. I am a normal tea and bobba tea drinker. So I was interested in trying kratom. I was not disappointed. Kratom is a very interesting drink and I felt very energized after drinking it. Step station is in a great location close to dale mabry and hillsborough. Parking is plentiful and staff was a delight. I am definitely part of an older crowd that does not know from Kratom or from Kava. My wife and I stopped in because she was having some sleep issues and we followed the sign in. Nick was tending the bar and went through the entire history of what was what, where and why, so even this Baby Boomer could understand! We decided on some red leaf Kratom with Blueberry Tea mixed in. It was different, in a good way, and gives you a feeling of calm. In the end, it did help my wife get to sleep. this is then nicest kratom bar I've ever been to. they have different milks (whole, almond, soy, coconut...) and drinks (espresso shots, nitrogen infused coffee [2x as much caffeine as a a shot of espresso], hibiscus tea, mint blueberry tea, and peach tea) and endless sweeteners to make you any concoction of drinks you want. growlers are bring your own container (they sell glass ones, but you can just bring an empty plastic jug), 3-5 is happy hour where drinks are buy one get one free! my friend and I tried the kava, and this place actually actually made the kava taste good! the last time I had kava, it tasted so awful I gagged. we both got kava with soy milk+cinnabon/chocolate sweetener, and they come with cinnamon sticks. ***note the kava is really strong and NOT safe to drive on. so unless you're being driven, i'd get it to go. for kratom, we had green+red with lemonade, green maeng da with a shot of espresso+soy milk+cinnabon/chocolate sweetener, and a growler of green maeng da with lemonade+strawberry/raspberry sweetener. all very good! i'd definitely get the lemonade (boosts the alkaloids in kratom) with some type of other sweetener instead of the tea. the coffee kratom was also amazing because it completely masked the flavor of the kratom. ***note they don't filter the kratom leaf powder so it's very strong. if you take too much you can feel sick or puke the place itself had a very comfy atmosphere, with LEDs+a fishtank on a flatscreen+nice music. there are booths and then bar stools. also their employee Caesar was very friendly, helpful, patient, and fun! Absolutely awful. Today was the second time have visited this place looking for vape products and Kava. My first visit, I waited for 20 minutes while the lady behind the counter kept running in and out of the front door. After 20 minutes without even a greeting, I had to leave. Today I sat for ten minutes while the lady behind the counter walked back and forth between two guests on each side of me. I felt so sorry for the beautiful young lady working alone when I visited today and there were more than 7 customers in the store. I witnessed 4 get up and leave after ordering because it took so long to get their bowls. My heart broke for the only employee working because she was so kind and you could tell she was doing her absolute best. Every business owner needs to pay attention to metrics and adjust accordingly.
