    Afternoon Tea Experience Salad
    Kristine L.

I came here with my girls for an early Galentine's Day. One of my girls had to cancel last minute at 11 PM the night before. Our reservation was at 10:00 AM. We were just going to eat the cost since it was late notice. They were very kind to waive our cancellation fee and didn't charge us for the spot. I made sure to make it up in gratuity! One of my girls is gluten free and was asked if it was okay if their food was served on the tiered tower with the other foods. The tea room is pretty big and can sit several parties. We did the Afternoon Tea Experience. We each chose a tea and got a personal pot of it to ourselves! It was more than enough. I got the white strawberry basil but I actually enjoyed my friend's white peach more. The starter salad was refreshing. You get 1 and a half sandwich. The egg salad on croissant was super yummy and the cucumber cream cheese is a tea time classic. The scones were soft and weren't as hard as normal scones were. It was almost like a cookie texture which I enjoyed greatly. I was stuffed and couldn't even get to the top tier with desserts. I took most of my pasteries home. Our group was actually the loudest (sorry other guests!). Our timing was perfect because as we were leaving a birthday party arrived and of course was louder than our small group. Go early! Overall it was a fun tea time themed experience! It's more fun to dress up. I would go again and would recommend the experience to everyone.

Definitely the cutest tea spot to hang with friends! I loved the atmosphere, almost like Bridgerton vibes. The tea was probably my favorite part, especially with the large array of tea choices (flavors, caffeine levels, etc). I tried the ham salad sandwich with chips, peanut butter brownie, and lemon berry mascarpone cake. Overall the food was okay. I thought the brownie and cake were a little too dense, but the flavor was good overall. I would definitely come back again for the experience/ambiance.

A delightful afternoon tea experience. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that perfectly blends modern elegance with cozy charm. The decor is vibrant and eclectic, featuring bright colors and unique touches that make the space feel both sophisticated and fun. The service at Joseph's Tea is exceptional. Despite being a bit short-staffed during our visit, the team was attentive and friendly. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and a menu, which set the tone for a relaxing afternoon. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, even bringing us chocolate-covered strawberries as a special treat. The quality of the tea and food pretty good although it was easier to learn about the teas in the menu rather than looking each one up in their website. There is an extensive selection including classic black teas, greens, whites or more exotic blends, there's something to try. The tea is brewed to perfection, and the flavors are rich and aromatic. The food is equally impressive. We started with a refreshing berry salad, followed by a variety of sandwiches. While the sandwiches were tasty, I would have preferred a greater variety of smaller portions to sample more flavors. The chicken salad, nut butter, cucumber and cream cheese, and tuna salad sandwiches were all delicious, though they leaned more towards hearty than traditional finger sandwiches. The scones, or rather the scone-like treats, were a highlight. They had a delightful texture, more akin to a muffin or cookie, and paired wonderfully with the tea. The desserts were also a treat, with a range of options that catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. Overall, Joseph's Tea offers a wonderful afternoon tea experience that is both relaxing and indulgent. The ambiance is charming, the service is attentive, and the quality of the tea and food is excellent. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon with friends

What a unique and charming spot! A group of friends, we have lunch in a different place each month, someplace we haven't been to before and this was our choice for November. It's a bit hidden in a low traffic strip off a frontage road but once you find it, it's completely worth the trip. The service was very attentive and friendly and the food choices were varied. It looks like the perfect spot to hold any kind of small event like a birthday party, showers, etc. We'll be back for sure.

** TEA REVIEW ONLY, NOT FOOD OR TEA SERVICE ** I'm a tea fiend and knew I had to come here when I saw the huge variety of teas they had. I was worried this was "tea service only", but luckily they have an a la carte menu you can order from too, including individual teas. Since I'm watching my carbs, there's not really whole lot in the way of food for me, but there are plenty of beverages. They had a huge assortment of teas and every tea can be made either hot or iced. I prefer iced, especially for the flavored teas, since it really brings out the flavor. I don't use anything to sweeten my teas, although you certainly can. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the tea and was able to handle steeping requests too. Even though I'm from out of town, I came here twice - once with a friend and once to do some work. I worked on a morning weekday when the place was quieter. There are plugs around and wifi, so it made it a cozy working spot. Just be sure to call beforehand to make sure they are not too busy.

I can not give this place more stars...but I would, if I could!! Don't let the exterior of the building hold you back from trying this place. The moment you step in, you are swept away to a perfect afternoon spot of tea. Every tea we tried was DELICIOUS. The scones were soft baked and everything that touched our lips was delightfully enjoyed! This was a bittersweet occasion as most of us are onto the next chapter of our lives. You provided the perfect setting for a meeting that meant so much to us. Special thanks to Denzel, the customer assurance baby, he did a great job! Thanks again for a wonderful day, and a delicious afternoon experience!

The atmosphere is so beautiful and it really out such a comfortable tea experience! The food is awesome. My granddaughter goes straight for the macarons and chocolate covered strawberries. Impeccable service always! I've been there 3x and I just love the friendly staff! I'll be back it's a fun treat!

Great food. The owner Shannon and her staff is amazing. The ambiance is delightful. Pure perfection and a plethora of teas to choose from.

My husband and I came here for afternoon tea on a Sunday. We made reservations online, which was nice. The website was a little tricky to navigate. Decor - Decor is different and fun with lots of bright colors. More of a modern twist, lot of different things going on. Service - They seemed a little short staffed, we sat at our table for about 10 min, and then she came over with sparkling wine and a menu. I wish we had gotten the menu when we sat down so we could've looked it over while waiting. Our server also brought us chocolate covered strawberries with our sparkling wine, which was odd since we hadn't even eaten yet. I think they need to switch this up and bring these out with the tiers. Tea - Huge selection - I do wish they had small descriptions of the flavor profile of the teas. I asked our server, and she wasn't too sure what exactly was in mine. I also had a leaking tea pot with a crack in it. Sandwiches and salad - They start the tea off with a berry salad, which was good. Sandwiches were decent, but they didn't knock my socks off. I wasn't a fan of eating a whole sandwich and then one small sandwich. I'd rather try 3 halves so I can try different things. They weren't bad but just didn't give me the tea vibe. We got the chicken salad, nut butter, cucumber and cream cheese, and egg salad. All were decent, but to me, afternoon tea isn't croissants, but finger tea sandwiches with an assortment. Scones - I'm not sure if the menu says scones, but these weren't scones. They were good but tasted more like a muffin or cookie. I can't describe it, but it wasn't a scone. Again, it was good, just not a traditional scone, which is what I associate afternoon tea with. Desserts - These were okay. They didn't taste homemade. I think this is a decent spot if you're looking for a different spot for a ladies' lunch or a cute place to take your daughter, but i didn't get the afternoon tea feel just more of a luncheon. There's a lot of potential here, and I know they're new so I would try them again in a few months to compare.

    Afternoon tea!

We came to the afternoon tea service as a breakfast and it was so perfect. The owner and his wife are so cute and they really are passionate about what they do! They're opening another location soon for tea mock tails in Dunedin on Main Street and I can't wait to try that as well! The service started with the summer salad and tea. The tea options were abundant with a range of caffeine free and highly caffeinated. The tea pots were really cute. In terms of the food! Gheez, the scones/biscuit on the middle shelf we're AMAZING. I would def purchase these as a stand alone offering too. We got to choose one full sandwich and one half sandwich. We did our best but still took some of the pastries to go! Highly recommend checking out this gem on the Clearwater/Dunedin boarder!

We had a lovely time for my birthday! More importantly, we left SO full, we had to bring a box home! The honey and I splurged for the bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries. I loved the macaroons and the nut butter sandwich. But, the chicken salad was excellent too! They heard about my food allergies and were very careful. Great experience overall and love that it's family owned. A must visit and we will most definitely return!!!!

We live this place. It's our third time coming for a grandmother, mother, daughter Christmas time tea. The staff is always personable. The tea is wonderful (especially Classic Earl Grey). We enjoy the assortment of sandwiches and desserts but we love the various scones! Perfect place to bring your young daughter (or son) to teach them proper dinning/tea etiquette.

I went to Joseph's in Clearwater in June. I went with my sister to celebrate my birthday. Before we booked here, we looked around for different places. We had been to tea at the Grand Floridian in Disney for Mothers Day and it was exquisite. We realized it would not be the same, but we tried it. The decorations outside were adorable Keep in mind it's in a strip mall. That did not bother me, but others may not like it. The decor inside is ok, cute, lots of lights and artificial greenery. The tea selections were vast. The sandwiches were average. I was hungry so I ate them It was ok,nothing special. If you are coming for the food it's not the goal here..the goal was the experience. The desserts were nice, Im not a big sweets eater so I took mine to go. I really liked the salad with strawberries. Our server was polite, we did both think it would be fun if they dressed more "tea" like. They had on fascinator, but regular clothes.I read a few reviews before we came, I was a bit hesitant to review because the owner was not always polite in responding, so I'll say this... the food was ok, edible but not desired again and there was another tea option at the Vinoy in St Pete which I will try next time. It was "ok" and fun for my birthday. I also thought it was odd that every group that came was seated towards the front, close to each other with a whole dining room to utilize. I also thought it was weird that the owner has her wedding photo (huge) on the wall in the dining room and it was behind me in every picture I took. Im glad for her but an enormous wedding picture in the dining area of the tea room was kinda off.. especially since it's in all my pictures. The cupcake they brought for my birthday was actually my favorite treat. The cupcake was not overly sweet and with the wonderful frosting it was excellent. 3 out 5 stars..

The atmosphere is really what makes this place special. It has a laid-back, neighborhood feel, and everyone working there was very friendly and welcoming. I also loved that it's within easy walking distance to the Downtown Dunedin market, so it's a perfect place to grab a coffee before or after strolling around town. On this visit I ordered a Snickerdoodle Latte. At first they accidentally gave me a regular latte without the flavoring, but once I mentioned it they were happy to fix it and added the snickerdoodle flavor. The drink ended up being good, though a bit lighter on the flavor than I expected. I expected it to taste more like the cookie, but it was more of a subtle hint. They also offer pastries, though I didn't try any this time. Next visit I'll probably check those out (and see if they happen to have any gluten-free options). Overall it's a really cute spot with a relaxed vibe, and I would definitely come back again -- especially when spending time around downtown Dunedin. I wanted to give a 3.5 stars rating, but decided to round up to 4 stars. Everyone can make a mistake (like with my drink) and I just got a good vibe from this place. In fact, the staff couldn't be nicer, and they were quite patient as I spent some time ogling the bakery case making my decisions. My selections were all sweets today. Blueberry croissant - a first for me and utterly delicious (couldn't wait to get home and had to have a bite in my car!). An almond and chocolate croissant - the gold standards. I topped off my order with the classically French tarte au pomme and a fresh berry tart with cream filling. Just divine, each and every one! Jerome's does not disappoint!

The ambience was nice and so was service, but that's where the good things end. This was a disaster and shameful that it's called French. Serving croissants and eclairs and putting French names to menu items does not make something French. We ordered a turkey omelette with eggs on top, an eclair, a chocolate croissant, a croissant with ham and cheese and tomato and lettuce, and a cream filled beignet. Let's start with the bakery goods. All bakery goods should be made fresh that same morning. The croissants, and pastries all should be flaky and taste fresh. These were hard as if they were all yesterday's leftovers. The filling on the beignet was obviously a Jell-O pudding mix, and definitely not homemade. The eclair for some reason had some kind of supposed chantilly cream and raspberry instead of the traditional filling, and both of those fillings were also all store-bought. The eclair was also stale and tasted like it had been in the fridge since yesterday. The omelette was an absolute joke. If you look at the picture I posted, my index finger was actually taller than the entire omelette which is supposed to be filled with ham and cheese as you can see from the post photo. The ham and cheese were also packaged meat and cheese as you can tell since they all were sliced exactly in the same way and same size and tasted processed, and the cheese wasn't even melted completely. The omelette was just incredibly dry and bland. The croissant suffered from the same disease. It was hard, not flaky, and tasted stale as if it had been made yesterday, and all of the meat and cheese was obviously packaged meat and cheese which tasted processed. This tastes nothing like anything you would find at any French bakery in France. In France. Everything is made the same day, and the moment it starts going stale and stops being flaky, is thrown away. This is an absolute insult to French bakeries. Even if you compare it to other American bakeries and breakfast places, nothing tasted good and for that price, it should. Definitely avoid this place. I know I will.
