Locals sitting at the bar, plenty of taxedermy, Random electronic gambling machines in the corner(for entertainment purposes only, I'm sure). The place is North woods Wisconsin clean, which is pretty good considering other places I've bee to in the area, and the staff is friendly. A lot of fried food, but that's not a bad thing. All of the fried apps are good, and if you go there on a Friday, you can enjoy a great fish fry. If you go there during the week, I would skip the burgers, which are OK, and grab yourself a bowl of their chilli which is really good. Have it with a fried side. Great place in the north woods. In addition they have great vegetable sides, fresh homemade soups and yummy desserts. The owner recommended a maple bacon cheesecake one time we were there and we did not regret it. Creamy and sweet and salty, this cake was fabulous and unusual. The flavors blended together beautifully. I also loved their broasted chicken wings with a sweet and spicy sauce. These are flavorful and moist but not undercooked , nice crispy crunch on the skin as well. Drink prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.
