He told me the breaker unit needed to be replaced for an additional $218 dollars as it wouldn't come back on after he flipped it off. Upon leaving he offered me what he said was the breaker he replaced. After he left I was told by a friend that they upsell and remembered an issue I had with them many years prior. So I checked the "new" breaker and it was old, covered in dust, scratched up etc. He didn't replace the breaker and charged me an additional $218 for something he didn't do. Fraud!! Upon calling the owner, she told me the Square D breakers are very expensive so they fix the inside of the breakers and don't replace them. Total lie! The breaker is molded hard plastic so it can't be repaired and only costs $15 for a new breaker. I told her he offered me the breaker he had supposedly replaced and she changed the subject. Later she told me he did change the breaker out. When I asked her to attest to the fact that there was a new breaker unit at my mom's house she said she was unwilling as there are two sides to the story .

First, why couldn't they tell me that after the 1st visit? I sat at home for 3 days waiting for the repair. Second, what kind of company doesn't have a ladder. The new company my home warranty assigned says they have 20 ladders. While the repairman was nice, I'm annoyed I wasted days waiting for the repair only for them to cancel the job. I've had no heat/AC for a week and now have to start over with a new company.

I was a case-study in how NOT to maintain my dryer duct: It had been almost 20 years since it had been cleaned. We bought a new drier, which shut down due to restricted air flow. I had had a competitor come out the day before Omer's visit; while friendly, all they had was a hand-operated floppy brush more suited to HVAC ducts. They had no luck, and suggested I just move the dryer out to the garage and put in a new duct! Omer arrived with 2 different cameras, and a range of stiff brushes which he worked with his drill, in very tight spaces, and was finally able to dislodge what must have been a 10#, soaking wet mass of lint. He installed an upgraded flexible duct and a new outside duct cover, and cleaned everything up. I've learned my lesson: call Lady Bird out annually, and request Omer!

At this point, I'm not sure whether the additional cost was justified compared with the lower-priced alternatives. Providing detailed before-and-after photos would have helped demonstrate the value of the service. Overall, the customer service and professionalism were good, but I believe the company could do a better job documenting the results and demonstrating the value of the service.

Contacted Sweeppy after checking out some reviews to clean dryer vents/ducts. Talked to Nathan to…read moreconfirm that they serviced my area, which they did. Nathan scheduled an appointment, sent Dennis, Asaf, and one other young man. After checking my roof, I was told that they could not clean the duct through the roof vent as the existing vent was not a proper dryer vent. They left and contacted Nathan to discuss with me. Nathan confirmed that the existing roof vent was more for an attic gable fan and would need to be replaced. He would order the part and call me to reschedule. The appointment was set for today between 8am-10am, the same crew called to let me know they were on the way. Upon arrival, they removed the old vent, cleaned out duct, installed new and correct roof vent (after some adjustment cuts), tested for proper function. I even did a load of towels and drying them took half as long as before. All is good. Kudos to Nathan and his staff for their promptness, professionalism, and quality work.
