They need to change their name to Serve Themselves. We had a House Fire and their motto: " Like it…read moreNever Happened " is False Information. The incident happened 12/24/2022. They dropped the ball numerous times. First of all, they were going to submit an estimate for rebuilding the house within a week. State Farm and I waited over a month and a half and never received an estimate. They would come by to do cleanup to make some hours, but never did have a crew there on a full-time basis. I noticed items disappear and confronted Steve about these items and I would not tolerate this. I dismissed them from the Project. Then their Moving and storage team were on the job. I love how they protect themselves on the bottom of the Inventory List. IMPORTANT: Inventory of all items taken from above location. SERVPRO is not responsible for items not listed. How Convenient! I saw items taken and they were in good condition and were not put on list, When I inquired, they told me they thought I had taken items. Mark was my contact. When he showed up at my residence, he assured me all items would be inventoried. He also stated that items that were taken would be cleaned and stored. Furniture that was damaged would have estimates done in timely fashion and submitted to State Farm and me. When we were approaching a date to move back to my residence, I informed Mark of proposed date in August 2023 that Late September 2023 would look good. I would give them a heads up a couple of weeks before date of move in. I gave him heads up September 25th looked good. They sent email of Furniture estimates that they had since April 24,2023. I was informed then that I had to choose what items I wanted refinished. I went to warehouse to evaluate said items. The Furniture Refinishing Company had to give new estimates because of delay. I was informed It would be 2 to 3 months before some of the Furniture could be refinished. There was Mold and Mildew on quite a few of the pieces not being cleaned up in a timely manner. They had my belongings stored in a Warehouse that was not Climate Controlled Storage. Their excuse was State Farm should have informed them they wanted items stored in a Climate Controlled Storage. I informed State Farm of Servpro's response, and my adjuster was upset with ServePro. He informed me it was up to ServPro to inform him, and he would have approved the extra Monies. We finally moved back into Residence October 13, 2023. I informed Mark of Move in Date 10 days Previous October 3, 2023. He informed me they could not bring my items till October 23 ,2023. I informed them I needed Kitchen items now. He informed me I could come pick up Kitchen Items at Their Warehouse. I felt like I was working for them. I went Monday or Tuesday and loaded 55 boxes on my Truck. I had to make two loads. He also informed me if I did this ServPro was not responsible for any damaged items. They finally delivered the rest of my belongings but brought all the moldy furniture. I had them put furniture in the Garage. I had no furniture for the house. I went and purchased Bedroom Furniture, Living Room Furniture, and such to get by. I called the Owner, of what was going on as per not getting furniture refinished and such. I let him know that no one offered to help with getting some furniture to use till my items were refinished and such and having to go and Purchase New Furniture. He replied, " Well you solved the Problem ". I am still waiting on my Furniture to be Refinished no fault of the company doing the work. Update: I received all my Furniture Back June 2024. ServePro collected 50,000.00 for their Services.

I had a leak from a blocked line on my AC. They did the water mitigation and seemed to be going…read morealong well except for my insurance dragging feet because I did not go with their preferred vendor. When it came time to start the actual repairs the company was inconsistent with communication. Attempted at every turn to remove from their communications with my insurance company despite my repeated requests that they at least CC me on all communication with Insurance. I received the check from insurance and asked them to confirm when they could begin work. They said they would get back to me while also sending me the service contract. They tried to schedule a start three times without sending the contract. I refused to have a start date without having the contract. When I pushed back on several shady sections of the service contract they literally quit responding to me. Finally, I simply asked since they have had so many issues communicating with me and keeping me involved in information loop regarding repairs in my home if they would at least acknowledge receipt of my emails and try to get things moving or I would be forced to go with another provider. At this, Steve, promptly and took responsibility for the failure to respond. He said that he was not comfortable doing the repairs unless I accepted their shady service contract as is with zero modifications. I thanked him for his response, admonished him for wasting my time (been attempting to get these repairs done since August 2024) and am happily moving on to other providers. If you choose these providers I recommend staying on top of them or I think it is very likely you will be taken advantage of.
