    Totally forget about calling them out to my mom's in 2018. They got me again!!!…read more Fraudsters! After fixing unit upstairs, Robert went to the outside unit for the first time as seen on camera. He told me the breaker unit needed to be replaced for an additional $218 dollars as it wouldn't come back on after he flipped it off. Upon leaving he offered me what he said was the breaker he replaced. After he left I was told by a friend that they upsell and remembered an issue I had with them many years prior. So I checked the "new" breaker and it was old, covered in dust, scratched up etc. He didn't replace the breaker and charged me an additional $218 for something he didn't do. Fraud!! Upon calling the owner, she told me the Square D breakers are very expensive so they fix the inside of the breakers and don't replace them. Total lie! The breaker is molded hard plastic so it can't be repaired and only costs $15 for a new breaker. I told her he offered me the breaker he had supposedly replaced and she changed the subject. Later she told me he did change the breaker out. When I asked her to attest to the fact that there was a new breaker unit at my mom's house she said she was unwilling as there are two sides to the story .

He borrowed one from my neighbor to diagnose the problem. The repairman showed up a few days later (it was a holiday weekend) with the part but no ladder. And my neighbor wasn't home. He said he'd come back the next day with a ladder. I waited all day, called the office, and they said he wasn't going to do the job anymore because he didn't have a ladder. First, why couldn't they tell me that after the 1st visit? I sat at home for 3 days waiting for the repair. Second, what kind of company doesn't have a ladder. The new company my home warranty assigned says they have 20 ladders. While the repairman was nice, I'm annoyed I wasted days waiting for the repair only for them to cancel the job. I've had no heat/AC for a week and now have to start over with a new company.

I even followed up asking if there are any extra charges or surcharges, to which I was quoted the statement above again. Today, the sales rep showed up, took one look at the dryer from the hallway, and asked a few questions regarding the dryer's history. To which he responded that he had to do a deep clean, and the new price is $259 for a deep clean. I said no, I agreed to the $79 special. He said NO company in the area will honor that. His attitude quickly changed to rude and unprofessional. It is extremely unprofessional to slam a client's front door simply because you didnt capture a sale. Maybe you should consider a better business practice of being upfront and honest with your clients rather than doing bait-and-switch ads on social media. BE WARNED THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY!!!! They will lure you into an appointment with a low price and suddenly more than double your quote upon arrival! Take your business elsewhere!

    I'm surprised this company doesn't have more reviews - they provided five star service all around!…read more We've been in our new build home since August and lately our dryer wasn't drying our clothes... it was taking about 4 cycles to get anything remotely dry! We ended up purchasing a new dryer that was installed yesterday and thankfully it was able to sense a blockage in the vent itself and alert us to the air flow problem. We never thought the vent was the issue since the home is new. After contacting so many companies last night and this morning, I came across AALPS Dryer Vent Cleaning and they were able to come same day (a Sunday!). The receptionist sent me a photo of the car they would be arriving in and a photo of the gentleman that would be showing up to do the job. I thought that was incredibly considerate, especially because my husband is at work and I'm always weary of answering the door without him here. Gabriel arrived and was so kind to explain everything thoroughly and physically show me what the problem was. Apparently in some newer houses, they install this grate over the bottom of the dryer vent outside. Gabriel explained when there's condensation + lint, it just creates this awful clogged mess that ends up ruining a lot of peoples dryers (and from my research could even lead to a fire since it blocks up the end of the circulation). If ANYONE is having issues with their clothes not drying well... I highly recommend contacting this company. They used a tool to go through the entire vent to clear out all the lint that's been collecting and staying in there over these last several months. I felt comfortable with them in my home and they were courteous, professional, and super prompt. They also took my email address so they can send a reminder in one year for an annual cleaning. I highly recommend AALPS since they were honest up front, actually SHOWED me the problem, explained the solution, and did a clean and thorough job. I was so afraid of being scammed but the estimated cost before they arrived is exactly what I paid. Hope this helps anyone that might be experiencing the same issue and is looking for a trustworthy business!

    I contacted KCA Services in 2022 as I knew that an HVAC in the upstairs portion of our home was on…read moreit's last leg when we moved into the home. I spoke to several services and after what I felt was stellar Customer Service and Great Follow up chose KCA Services to install a Brand New Unit. I was initially used to TRANE Units from our previous home but was told that American Standard was the same company and make the same product as TRANE. I was told that American Standard was a great product and we were getting an upgrade with the system we chose. We completed the Install Around April of 2022. The installation immediately had issues but I must say to be fair that the company provided guarantees that a $500 No Hassle Discount would be provided and after finding that the system was not properly installed, the GM granted me that. After this, I reviewed the guarantees of Lowering our Monthly Electric Bill by 30%, 10 Year Warranty and so on. During this time period, we began to almost immediately experience issues. We contacted KCA Services and each time they came out to service the system. The first issue was approximately a few weeks after install and the problems persists. After several service calls in the first few months as the system would sporatically stop working at any given time. I thought - maybe user error but each time they came out and found another issue that they thought would correct it. At one point, one gentlemen came out and actually contacted the Manufacturer and found a Wiring Issue and the system worked smoothly for several months. After this, the system began to malfunction again. Over the course of two years, we had no less than 15 service calls to determine the issue with this brand new American Standard System. Finally, we left for a couple of days to come back to a home overheated and over 80 Degrees. WE contacted them and began speaking to our attorney. Each time the company responded to our calls but the problem was not being corrected. I began to feel as if this was not being treated as an Urgent Problem and Passive. The company came out and replaced the outside unit and no more than a couple of weeks later, the system failed AGAIN. I requested COMPENSATION AT THIS POINT FROM THE COMPANY for two years of frustration, moved plans, delayed business trips and other sleeping arrangements. The GM offered a nominal amount and I refused this. They did come out to change out the Inside Unit and the Owner of Southern Air (Corporate Owner) did contact me and assured me that this problem would be corrected. Both the inside and the outside unit was replaced as they found that the Zoning Board that was initially installed was not compatible and in turn caused the unit to not function properly and corrode upon itself. The company came to change the inside unit on a Friday and remained as I felt the technicians were trying to resolve the issue. The system has functioned for exactly five days since all has been changed out. We had to await the correct zoning board as the second board they brought was still not compatible. Tonight is June 5th, 2024 and low and behold - the system IS NOT FUNCTIONING. The Second Brand New System. I do not support AMERICAN STANDARD and I can't support KCA as my compensation requests have been denied thus far and I am at a loss as how to overcome this investment of over $15,000 and suffered this amount of time.

She scheduled an appointment for the repair in a reasonable time. The repair was done quickly and without a hitch. Great job. We asked for a second visit, to start a periodic maintenance service with KCA. The technician called to inform us he we would arrive a bit late, which was fine. The work was done professionally. The only thing that we really did not appreciate was the technician telling us about the foam insulation in our attic being sloppily installed (it is supposed to be sprayed/applied broadly) and him trying to upsell us on unnecessary add-ons (Patriot Carbon UV-C lights at $1890 and four surge protectors at $1,152.00). Had the technician not tried to upsell us on those very expensive items, I would gladly give this locally owned company a 5-star review.
