PROS: 1) Mitigation was phenomenal. The pack out team was…read moreextremely efficient and professional and paid extra care to our belongings. 2) Demo was fine, however they broke a few things (cabinet riser, damage to walls that weren't there before) and did not address it to the restoration team = lack of good communication between teams 3) Customer service was great and friendly via text and over the phone CONS: 1) DO NOT USE THEM FOR RESTORATION!!! We really wanted to hire another professional restoration company that only does restoration/painting etc but ServPro assured us they had a great, qualified and highly experienced team and we trusted them (I mean the rest of the work was excellent, so why wouldn't we trust them?). However, that was clearly not the case for our home. One "painter" even started painting the walls the incorrect color when I stopped him halfway through to get it corrected. The finishes, especially in our bathroom were really bad. So bad that we regretted hiring them for that part of the job. The bathroom looked rushed (as I believe it was the last part) and they ended the painting that day and quickly got out of there. So they had cut a baseboard the wrong length and used putty to "complete the look". That was absolutely unacceptable!! They left paint splatter all over our cabinet and - well lots of little issues here and there. The trim was replaced incorrectly and there was a gap. There was also a huge gap between the baseboard and the tiles with no grout. We were so unhappy with the project manager, Luis, signing off on the "complete project" and he acted as though nothing was wrong when he came back or didn't seem to see the imperfections all over the bathroom. After discussing our disappointment with Tabi the owner (who is very friendly and understanding), we decided to part ways. Tabi did give us a nice allowance off our original estimate and we used that $ to hire a true handyman / carpenter professional who fixed what Servpro ruined. I would recommend ServPro GG MITIGATION but only stick with the mitigation work. They also got paint dust over a few of our belongings that we later realized.

We were first connected to Ward-Tek through our insurance company for water damage repairs and…read moreevery interaction with them was professional and easy. Our project manager, Fernando, is fantastic. He first helped us navigate insurance itself, noting that they do not do water mitigation and insurance would first need to send someone to deal with the damage before he could give us an estimate for repairs. It's an explanation so logical you'd think the insurance company could have approached it that way from the start but alas, they're not really in the business of being helpful. So, after repairing the water damage and treating mold, our work with Ward-Tek began and, especially having spent months in the interim dealing with a different construction company for the initial work, Fernando and team were a godsend. The process of quoting the work was fast and transparent. The work was permitted and scheduled quickly and started on time and every deadline was met or exceeded which, given our experiences with other contractors, seems unheard of. Between Fernando and the lead contractor, Javier, we felt like we had a dream team and everyone who came through to complete the work understood that they were entering our home and respected what that meant for us as we juggled the construction with working from home and having two small children. It felt like they paid a lot of sensitivity to that and I can't overstate how important that was. And the work itself was meticulous. We made some design updates along the way and we're so thrilled that what started as a storm-related disaster ended in our house looking better than ever. We have so many projects to go on this old fixer upper and I genuinely don't want anyone but Ward-Tek to do that work. I trust them immensely after our experience and highly recommend them. Note: we are located in NELA so don't let their Santa Ana location deter you from getting their quote.

At the end of August we had a kitchen overflow due to a soft clog overflow in our kitchen sink…read more Through the months of September and October, I was getting challenged by an insurance agent that was lowballing me and a contractor that was overcharging me for the same work without any justification. After enough going back and forth, I decided it was time to pursue a better contractor - one that I could actually trust and I would know they would deliver on a new kitchen. This is when we met Dustin at Sekoya Construction. From our first interactions, he was very respectful and easy to talk to. He understood the issues we were facing and stayed within our budget. Not only that, but the crew he brought to the home was just as cordial and respectful as well. I never met a team like Dustin's where I got to know everyone on a first name basis and trust was so easily established. After a few weeks of quick work (including working around Thanksgiving), the team was able to put our kitchen back together before the Christmas holiday. My family and I cannot thank Sekoya Construction enough. We love our new cabinets and countertops!! It was a long few months to get to this point, but it was worth it. In the end, we got a brand new kitchen and a new friend in Dustin. I have no hesitancy recommending Sekoya Construction to any friends and family. There is no better team in the area.

The biggest plus on the project was that Dustin actually listened to what we wanted, gave us honest and fair pricing, and then delivered on the project in the time frame promised. In fact, we are having them do some extra work on our closets because the beautiful work that was done requires a closet upgrade. We highly recommend them.

You'll have to ask him how the state and federal government screwed people who were housed to help the people displaced by the tragic fire. He is a Rock Star, super professional, attentive to all the issues related to any kind of flooding, leak, or large spill liquid damage clean up and restoration of your property. His prices are very reasonable and he handles all of his jobs personally, ensuring satisfaction. Benji goes the extra mile, where most restoration companies will tell you "okay we are all done you are on your own to put everything back together". Not Benji! He even took care of that for us bringing in a sub-contractor; Advanced Installations, to put our house back together again. This is our sixth leak in 17 years, and the most satisfied we have been with the results from the combination of "The Passionate Plumbers", "RevivePro" (formerly Passionate Restoration), and "Advanced Installations". Fantastic job start to finish!!! They all work together to establish a plan and timeline for you, making sure to get you put back together as efficiently and smoothly as possible. And like I stated before the prices are very reasonable. They have the latest and greatest brand new equipment. Will absolutely call them for all of my needs in the future. Thank you very much Benji, Garrett, and I'm sorry, I can't for the life of me remember the owner of Advanced Installation's name.
