Steam Seattle Mobile detail team makes it out anywhere I need them, even for coffee car seat spill emergencies!!
Sarah W.

If you are looking for your car to have a brand new feel this is the right car detail shop for you, also can't forget to mention that they are mobile and come to you! The two times I've had them wash & detail my car I was blown away. They got places that previous detailers didn't care for (Like the mascara smear on top of inside of my car!) Not only did my car look brand new it also had an amazing fresh smell to it!! These guys have outstanding customer service, answered all my questions, made sure to get all the places I was concerned about, and to top it all off the whole experience was convenient from the comfort of my own home, worth every penny!! I recommend these guys to all my friends and family. They also offer gift packages, you can pay ahead of time and gift it to your car fanatic significant other. 10/10 quality work and great team! Fast & reliable! Not to forget to mention they found my lost gold necklace in my car that I forgot all about!

Oxidation.

Those of us driving to downtown Seattle are so fortunate to have Ralph as our technician at Mr…read more Detail at the Fairmont. He does an excellent job, is thorough and professional. And just a nice guy. Drop off and pick-up is easy and the quality result far exceeds the cost. Highly recommended.

This service is a complete joke…read more I got my car detailed by Chad, last year and he did a piss poor job. It also took forever for them to correct the mistake because their policy was that I can only take the car back to the person who messed up the service to have it fixed. Chad was booked out for weeks so I had to wait for them to fit me in the schedule. I'm just now leaving a review because it was my first time getting my car detailed at the time and I didn't know any better. I didn't know what it meant (they basically shampoo your car) or how much it should cost at the time. Looking back, I feel like I got completely scammed. I now have more experience with other car detailers like WashLB (mobile detailer in Seattle) and two other car washes in LA (I moved) to say this Mr. Detail location in the Fairmont garage is a complete joke. I only paid for an interior detail because I go to the Costco Car wash for $8 to get the outside cleaned. I only booked for interior and it STILL cost me something stupid like $235 for a Tesla Model 3. I think there was a pet hair add on. They ask you to add tip before you pick up the car so I tipped $45, like a dummy, only to drive away with a still dirty car. They work out of a dimly lit garage with barely any light so they probably cannot see all the dirt. When I drove my car into the sun, all the dust and stuff they missed were immediately apparent. It was a waste of time and money because each time I dropped the car off I had to Uber or walk home! I was out my car for 3 hours each time while I waited. Later I hired WashLB who came to my apartment's garage and would wipe down my car with a bucket of water and rags I guess and vacuums. They also did not have strong sun light to show all the dirt but they did a good job for only $77 (before tip) for both interior and exterior. I didn't have to go anywhere, they came to my garage. Moving to LA, the detail places here are also $70-$150 for both interior and exterior. All these cheaper places did a much better job and didn't make me wait 2+ weeks to bring the car back to get their mistake fixed. This business is totally absurd, a waste of time and money. Please look at the photos and see for yourself.

I keep my car in the garage and do not drive a lot but every spring or summer, I take it to be hand washed and waxed since it's a convertible and too fragile for professional drive-through car washes. Mr. Detail does an exceptional job. They are very professional, honest and attentive to the customer.

I got a mid level detail (called "refresh") on my car: interior, exterior, and engine compartment…read more The folks at Mr Detail were personable. Before I brought the car in, from a distance, the car already looked nice - the cabin was relatively clean, though the exterior needed a wash, and the wheels were super filthy. Afterwards, the car certainly looked better (it had a good shine in the sun) and the wheels shined too, but I didn't see a ton of value overall considering the price I paid. Note that this was the first time I have gone to a detail shop. Below I identify some of my complaints. Perhaps it sounds like I'm nit picking. I expect that the team at Mr Detail worked hard, and did things that weren't obvious to me. I don't have before and after pictures, so it's hard for me to see the differences. I appreciate the team's work; I just felt that the price was high for what I got - maybe an hourly rate would have worked better for my situation. My complaints are all about missed details, which I didn't notice until I was back at home. For example, when I dropped the car off, the employee who inspected my car noted there was sand along the exterior rubber gaskets along the bottom of the door windows. When I got the car back, enough of this sand was still present to make me think they didn't actively clean this area. The sand could have been removed simply by wiping a rag along the seal. I suspect whatever was removed was from water running over that area rather than direct cleaning. I also noticed that grime that built up in typical areas, like on the fender paint behind the mud flaps, had not been cleaned off. This seemed strange because the mid-level exterior service includes clay bar treatment, which should have caught this stuff. In the interior, I lifted a floormat, and right underneath it were a couple of pieces of glass (from when my sunroof shatted 6 months ago). The glass wasn't hiding or anything - it was directly under the floormat. I'm struggling to understand how the glass wasn't removed if the cabin was vacuumed. Certainly parts of the cabin were vacuumed, but it's strange that something so obvious was missed. The seats had been cleaned and conditioned - they were damp, and you could smell that a product was used. However, marks that I expected to be washed away were still present. If the spots were now stains, I would have appreciated a comment indicating they couldn't be lifted. In summary, it seemed like the team went through the motions and did what was asked. The results seemed pretty average, hence my rating.
