Do not be fooled by the one review, 5-star ratings that are here on Yelp. There is no doubt in my mind that this company is nothing more than a scam and a bucketful of charlatans. You might be inclined to think of this as name-calling, but I believe it is much more akin to a descriptor. But to substantiate my review, I will break it down by their modus operandi.
They have a coupon for a $70-$90 cleaning service, which is used to attract the unsuspecting customer. This is to cover '10 vents', but in reality is the metaphorical equivalent of sticking your foot in the door as a door-to-door salesman.
Afterward, they come and tell you you have mold, which somehow changes the estimate from $70-$90 to about $6500. Yes, you read that correctly: $6500. Not only do they assume the presence of mold by vision only, but they also did not perform any tests, got no second opinions, or anything. For a price that high, I better have a second opinion from Dr. AC, PhD. They immediately start to rush you to pay the full thing, either in three installments or in one lump sum so that they can run away with the money.
Now you're panicking, they've already started working on the vents, and you don't want to fork over your hard-earned cash to these miscreants and cast-offs of society. You decide, at the last second, to halt the process. Nicholas, that mono-browed, cologne-disguising-body-odour-ed scam artist, breathes in your face that they already started the cleaning process and will install 'UV lights' (no doubt purple penlights) over your AC. He agrees to cut the difference at cleaning, adding the original $70-$90, but then charging $15 per vent after. There is no accounting for vent size (he charges a 4'x4' vent the same as 8'x8'), but he also overcounts. In a bid to protect his company name, wiping dust off a piece of crap in metaphorical terms, he told us that he charged a house earlier that morning 'only' $143 for 12 vents, which is clearly beyond the expected amount of $120, even accounting for tax. Now you're stuck paying so much more than the coupon when in reality, they already are overcharging for a subpar process.
Coincidentally, they also run a carpet-cleaning surface, and when they entered our house, they did not place down a cleaning mat for their shoes. This is where my review is a warning not just to the parents, but to the kids as well. They purposely target the older population who are more susceptible to these scams, and he only backed off when my sister and I called him out on his business practice. Once he left, he and his two unprofessional crew members did not even clean every vent, and they left dirt and plaster all over the surfaces they worked on. They just ran a vacuum on the surface of the vent, doing absolutely nothing of significance other than shedding their disgusting smell over the place. We had to clean the floors ourselves after they left, leaving their own unique mold over our walls. If we could leave a 0-star review, we would.
In summary, avoid this company at all costs. Sloppy job, sloppy people, sloppy business. The definition of a scam. read more
