Before numbers were even talked about, the work was beginning so you couldn't deny service. David claimed to have a photo of mold in the unit, but never once did I see anyone go into the attic to acquire a photo so i don't know if that was true. 10 minutes after arrival I'm presented with a $5,808 bill to clean and sanitize everything. I tell David this was supposed to be a basic vent cleaning. He's insistent that we get this done, and pay this bill. We deny the services and request the basic cleaning. Well a $188 dollar coupon, turned into a $732 bill when you add the return air and vent cover cleaning, that I never formally asked for. Rather told it was happening. This is a warning to anyone considering this company, STAY AWAY! My father is 80 years old and found this company because he wanted to improve the air quality in his home for my mom who has asthma. The technicians came out and performed the work without ever providing a price, estimate, or range of costs. There was no written estimate, no verbal estimate, and nothing for him to approve before work began. After the job was completed, they presented him with an invoice totaling almost $7,000! The invoice consisted of extremely vague line items including deodorizing, sanitizing, antibacterial treatment, mold control, and installation of a UV light. No mold was ever shown. No photos were provided. No test results were provided. No explanation was given as to why any of these services were necessary or why they cost what they did. At no point was my father informed that the work being performed would result in a bill anywhere near this amount. He paid because he was shocked, overwhelmed, and did not want a confrontation in his own home. This is straight up elder financial abuse and a GIGANTIC SCAM. Following up on my review dated Feb. 22, 2025: I've talked to an attorney. He told me that what they did in my case was considered elder abuse and financial exploitation of an elder person. He recommended that I file a Complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office, and also with my local Police department. I am a 73-year old woman and I was alone with this "David" person. I have not received a response. He said a negative review won't hurt his business. The owner, David, quoted $700 or $750 to clean all of my ac vents, and he knew there was mold in the downstairs vents. He proceeded to clean the ac return air in charge $1992 for the two units that did not need to be cleaned at all. Hey, then added UV lights to each unit and charge $700 per light. The total bill at the end of the day was $6100 included warranty charges that I didn't even know about. The man who came in didn't even know what to charge he kept asking me what I was "quoted" over the phone. I told him I had a coupon and I knew more than 10 vents would be additional. So I am not sure if this is common, but for less than 10 vents, 1 intake, and some demolding, is it really suppose to cost $7000? They only bring in a bristle with a small vacuum tube, hooked back to the car, unlike the big one you saw on youtube. They did climb up to the attic and did some duct work cleaning, and supposedly removed a lot of molds. Then they did spay some chemicals on the ductwork. He took a picture of the duct and immediately said that it was all pretty bad. While he was distracting me, his peers started to "work" and then he handed me a bill of U$5K. Surprised to see so many bad reviews as I came here after getting service and not before. Glad I didn't look at this before or I may not have selected them. Like some others on here, I found out about this company though ValuPak and had seen some trucks around my neighborhood. Other than that, I had no intel on them whatsoever. I gave them a call and immediately got through. The receptionist was very helpful and even scheduled a Sunday appointment (late on a Friday) as I explained to her we had relatives coming in from out of town and I needed the work done soon. She was beyond friendly, accommodating and helpful. As promised, my technicians called up 30 minutes ahead of schedule and were courteous, professional and thorough. They gave me a four house window and were there literally (to the minute) on the front-end of my appointment time. Jesse H. (and I didn't get the other gentleman's name) explained everything in detail, gave me all the optional upgrades and didn't try and "hard sell" me on anything I didn't want. I ended up adding some services that I initially hadn't planned on and I am glad I did. Jesse and his co-worker did an outstanding job on my tile, grout, area rugs and upstairs carpeting. They didn't rush, they didn't goof around and they always asked me to check around to make sure I was happy. They showed me the "waste tank" when they arrived (it was empty) and then showed me the water as they drained the tank after both my tile cleaning and carpet cleaning. I could see how much debris / dirt they had collected. They worked hard to remove a few pet stains, on an area rug, and were forthright and upfront that set-in stains may not come out. They put extra 'elbow grease' in on those areas and they are both markedly better. I even noticed a few areas, on the grout, that needed a little extra work and without so much as a moment of hesitation they hit the areas again and took care of it all while making sure I was satisfied. I'm not here to mitigate anyone else's experience, but mine was great. I had them come out to clean my dryer vents. When they moved my dryer they tore up the transition piece on my laminate floors and tried to cover it up and not say anything about it. 3 days later I went to put some items in my dryer and the piece of floor moved. I called them on Wednesday 6/28 and the lady on the phone told me to email the pictures. I emailed them the pictures on Thursday 6/29 and still have not heard back from them on how they intend on fixing my floor. Update 7/9/17 The admin of the company called on 7/3 or 7/5 to confirm to have someone come out and fix our floor Sunday 7/9/17 between 12-4. On 7/9 The technician called around 3:30 to confirm his arrival at 4pm to "hook up my dryer vents". I told him to stop and that was not the plan. I told him that his company was supposed to fix my floor that they carelessly destroyed. He presented me with numbers written on a paper towel and requested that I place my initials on the estimate before he wrote any proposed prices. He did not show me a pricelist for services. They requested bleach and requested to use mine on the vents, then left with the rest of the nearly full container. I had a coupon for 77$ and when they got here.. we was told we had a serious problem with mold.. so he started to charge us for vents and 259$ to spray the mold for each job to clean our system which added up to 1200$... paid 439$ to do extra vents and he only sprayed in our main system for mold.. He never opened, clean and brushed our vents.. Only vacuumed our main system. Husband confronted him and was told he only work through the main system.. He didn't even stay half an hour..How do you give no stars?..We also noticed my husband ring from his job is also missing and we working with the police on this matter.. read more
