    Pork Bao

I ordered for carry out and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The first thing that I need to mention is their to-go packaging. We ordered soup. The ramen itself was in a large bowl with a tightly fitting lid. The broth was in a separate container with a lid fitting so tight that it was hard to remove. The broth was also placed in a plastic bag tightly knotted. I can't say that I ever brought home soup without at least a little spillage (the last time I brought soup home it ended up in my floorboards. The beef soup was ok, it was supposed to have cilantro and green onions which were not included. We ate the soup for two meals and, although I was stingy with it, there just wasn't enough broth for five bowls. We have our 3 year old grandson for the weekend. His mom has told me several times that he won't eat soup. He may not eat soup but he sure likes "noodles with noodle sauce"! (I should have just skipped kids and gone straight to grandkids!!) I also ordered two each of the beef, pork and steamed vegetable bao. They were good, even the day after in the microwave. They were a little dry so we did add a little dipping sauce on the side to help add a little moisture. To round out our meal, I ordered a gua bao crispy chicken. The chicken was extremely dry - we had to use scissors to cut it. Will I be back? Probably not. Was it worth trying? Of course. BTW, I ordered way too much food. We had it for dinner last night, tonight and I had lunch today. We still have 3 bao left for tomorrow. Like they say, don't go to the grocery store hungry - which I obviously did when I see the 4 boxes of pop tarts on my counter. A related corollary should read "don't order online when you haven't eaten all day!

Delicious selection. Great hospitality. Clean establishment. Chill & upbeat tunes playing. Def worth a trip. We'll be back.

Really good and fresh. We had steamed beef bao, seared beef bao, seared pork bao, 5 spice chicken, steamed soup buns and seared pork and shrimp dumplings. Everything was very tasty. Its counter service and seat yourself. Soft drinks and tea in bottles and cans. We also had a Dibai chocolate strawberry milk tea. Pretty tasty. Nice people. We'll be back.

Being born chinese and an avid foodie, my husband and I really wanted to try this place. Both chinese born and recent trip to Taiwan has us hung on beef noodle soup. Overall it was okay. The noodles al dente. The beef was a little tough and we never finished it. The soup okay. The pan seared buns were good with hot sauce. I liked my passion fruit tea. My hubby got 0% sugar on his matcha milk tea but it was still really sweet.

Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, and attentive service. What more could you want right? Amazing food? They have it. Food was very good at a very fair price. We ordered the spice popcorn chicken and got a huge bowl. I had the seared pork and cabbage dumplings and my wife had the seared chicken and cabbage. All of it was excellent. They have a great menu. You really should try it out. You won't be disappointed.

My son and I ended up here today we mainly went for the milk tea after having a universal yum box from Taiwan but since it was around lunch and we were both hungry we stayed and grabbed a bite. I had the steamed chicken dumplings which were delicious and my son ordered the beef noodle soup(medium) it was a little spicy for me but he said it had great flavor and actually should have gotten it hot instead. We decided to order their dessert, the sesame balls, and they were AMAZING! I could probably eat those until it made me sick. Service was pleasant everyone that was working was very soft spoken and oddly enough that made me nervous(just a me thing I'm sure). The ambiance was nice. My son who is an aspiring animator enjoyed the tv that played animated shorts. We decided this is a place we would probably frequent, if out and about running errands.

Food: The food was sub par. There were definitely some highlights, but it was still a tad pricey. The menus seemed to have been brought over from Nashville rather than reprinted for Madison. Hot Dumpling Bowl (4/5): The chili oil/crunch had a good amount of spice. There was enough to toss every steamed dumpling with the oil. 5 Spice Popcorn Chicken (4/5): Definitely one of our favorites and paired really well with the sauce. Soup Dumplings (1.5/5): Lackluster. Very disappointed in these. They fell apart and had barely any liquid in them. The taste wasn't that great either. Pan Seared Bao (3/5): There was basically a meatball at the center of the Bao. Whenever I ended up getting to the meat, it just fell straight out of the Bao. Good flavor on the meat though. Beef Noodle Soup: My friend rated this a 3/5. He mentioned the noodles were like spaghetti and not the right texture. He enjoyed the beef and broth. Steamed Bao: My friend seemed to enjoy this more than the pan seared Bao. The meat stuck to the Bao better. It was basically a giant meatball also. Service and Ambiance: The restaurant was packed when I entered. My group was fortunate to get a table. It took us about 20 minutes to get food, which was fairly quick for everything we ordered and how busy it was. Not sure if I'll go again based on my experience apart from AYCE Dumplings on Tuesdays.

Been here several times. So comparing the changes over the times I have been here. The first time here was confused about how seating was handled as no one seemed to assists for several minutes. The same happened to a couple that came in shortly after us. They now have a sign up stating to seat yourself. Getting someone to wait on us and take our order took forever the first few times we visited. They use to come to your table and take your order. They now have you go up to the register to order. The food is pretty good. I wouldn't say authentic, but tasty enough for a quick bite. Pretty sure things are premade (possibly frozen) and then steamed/fried/cooked when ordered. No shade on that as lots of places do that. The bubble tea seems to be on par with other places in the area. Just fewer selections. No soda fountain either. All in cans. I do not think we have been here when they haven't been out of something. Most of the time it's soup dumplings, but has also been things like the seared beef or rice. The restaurant its self is spacious with 9 tables that can seat anywhere from 4 to 8 people each. Music is usually a LoFi type music that is not over whelming that interferes with your conversations. The room has soft lighting. With all the pine and sparse decor it gives very much Ikea vibes.

Ordered chicken popcorn. Not fresh at all. I think they used frozen bag and heated it up. Ordered chicken bao. Same thing horrible like frozen chicken warmed up. Ordered pork dumplings. Same thing. Soggy and gross. Didn't eat the food. Left everything wasted my money.

I did a takeout meal. The staff were very nice and friendly. Young man at order counter gave great suggestions. I tried the beef noodle bowl ( mild) and the pork and cabbage dumplings. Flavor was very good. Beef was extremely tender! I'm glad to have another food option that's fast but not typical fast food. Restaurant was clean It was not busy when I went at 3 pm. I suggest you try it!

It was still completely worth it. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, BBQ bao buns, and the eel avocado sushi tacos. Every single thing was delicious. The egg rolls were crispy and packed with flavor, and the dipping sauce was so good I could have eaten it by itself. The bao buns were soft and flavorful, though one was a little cool in the center. The presentation was beautiful, and they were still very enjoyable. The real star of the meal was the eel avocado sushi taco. I originally ordered two and immediately wished I had ordered more. The combination of crispy seaweed, rice, avocado, and eel was incredible. If I could eat these every day, I absolutely would. My mom ordered the lo mein and loved it. They weren't stingy with the sauce, and the noodles looked amazing. Despite the unexpected power outage, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was still enjoyable, and we'll definitely be back. Finding a restaurant where both my mom and I can easily find something we love isn't always easy, so this is definitely going on our regular rotation. Highly recommend the eel avocado sushi tacos!

Our Shumai which was ordered as an app, was the last thing to arrive to the table. It was fishy and not overly flavorful. My daughter loved her California rolls and service was pleasant.

This Steam Boys…read morelocation is close to Trash Panda Stadium but it's easy to miss; it's set back from the road, the signage is kind of small and it blends into the shopping center. Parking was also challenging; I wound up just taking a spot at Slim Chickens and walking over. A sign on the door warned me the door was very heavy and they weren't lying; it took some effort to open it. The inside is open and modern. It looked clean but for a few tables that needed to be cleared. Service was a mixed bag. A younger man stood by the counter and looked at me when I walked in. I stood for a moment, confused as to whether I sat down or ordered at the counter; I didn't see a menu anywhere though there were lots of advertisements for specials on different days and at different times. I eventually made eye contact with the employee and asked if I should sit down, to which he nodded and then brought me a menu over. I saw they were running a lunch special for an order of dumplings and an order of bao, so I took myself to the counter to order. The quiet young man I encountered earlier was at the register. He seemed confused when I placed my order and called for help from another employee who was on break eating lunch. This other employee, a young male with blond hair, was helpful and friendly and did a good job trying to guide the new employee through the process of my order. The new employee was super shy, almost to the point of comedy; at one point he asked, "should I do steamed or pan fried dumplings?" to the other employee and the other guy said, "you should ask her." And the newbie just looked at me like he was terrified. Poor guy lol. I provided my answer, paid, and sat down to wait. My food came out pretty fast, was hot, and seemed fresh. I got spicy pan fried chicken dumplings and a seared beef bao. I thought the food was pretty good. The chicken dumplings were slightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I was glad I ordered it spicy because the chili oil really added flavor that I think it might've been missing otherwise. The beef bao had a good bit more flavor and the sauce that came with it was slightly spicy and also very flavorful. I agree with others that it's basically a meatball inside a dough ball; I wish it would've stuck to the dough a bit better, and I wish there'd been a tiny bit more meat. Still, it was a filling meal that easily could've been split between two people (I couldn't finish it all) and I thought a decent price (though the non lunch specials are indeed a bit pricy). Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would be interested in visiting again. I'd like to try their boba next time.
