Stopped by this Steak 'n Shake on the way home to Jacksonville. The food and service was very good and our food came out super fast.

It smells like roach spray in this place. I wanted to puke then I got my food which was breakfast. Pancakes were mediocre & cold. Eggs had too much cheese. Bacon was cold and cooked to hard. The meal was $5.99 but when I got my ticket the total was $10. They charged me $1 for cheese and $3 for orange juice. Won't be returning. read more

Outstanding service and quality food for the price. The staff was extremely fast and very courteous. Awesome for kids. They get all kinds of stuff, crayons, hats, paper cars. Waited for about 10 min for a refill on drinks all three drinks at the table were bone dry. Had some employees just standing around looking stupid. One male looked at me made eye contact and walked off. Don't waste your money or time here!!!! My husband and I just recently moved to Warner Robins and live very close to Steak N Shake. We have had numerous problems with this place. My husband called the toll free number on our receipt because the local number has been disconnected. I received 2 automated responses than 2 emails from one individual. If you've seen this review before, you'll notice I changed my rating. This is one of those restaurants that isn't consistently good, but which isn't too bad for a late-night outing. Since I left my original review, I've had surprisingly good service. Even the guy who prompted me to leave a bad review(the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back) has done a lot better since then. So I've really no big problems with the service lately. I wish they'd put some money into renovations, though. I know the place is clean because I've seen them clean it, but it's just starting to show its age, y'know. I placed a order for a spicy chicken sandwich with extra mayo. The is put in the window for pick up by the server. I won't say his name but the guy does not see the extra mayo, so he uses his finger to lift the chicken to see if it's there are not. Your not supposed to do that without gloves on. read more

The worst food ever!! Egg was not done all the way. The hamburger had more mustard ketchup and mayo than any one person could handle!! Couldn't even eat the sandwich because of it and I wiped as much off as possible!! Fries were horrible!! The has to be one of the worst ran steak n shakes in the company. We had stopped company because of the poor service and decided to try again since we were mailed coupons. Can't review the food since we never received any service. Two waitresses walked by our table and cleaned off and finished other tables around. Not once were we acknowledged or told someone would assist us. After waiting for more than 10 minutes we decided to leave. As we walked out no one still acknowledged us. Worst Steak n Shake we've ever been at. All teenagers working there, no adults. They screwed up nearly a dozen peoples orders and then proceeded to tell us we needed to purchase new food if we wanted our correct order filled. They did take back the food we already unwrapped...and gave it to their rightful owners. So to whomever got the delux steakburger, I was sick last week and you probably now will be too. read more

Got a S&S flyer in the mail and the skillet breakfasts caught my eye. After church we decided to give it a try and we both had the Country Skillet and were so glad that we did. I really liked the gravy and the eggs were cooked to perfection. I ate all mine and my wife brought half of the order home with her. Lot of food and it was very good and compared with the service from Liz it was a great meal. Get there before 11! There must have been a change in management because the service has improved many time over. Give it another try. read more

Going through the drive thru is a normality for me due to the fact I'm often in a rush to get home from work on Thursday nights. The lady serving me around 630 pm, was very polite when I was constantly flubbing my words because of my rush, she was patient and made all adjustments and checked twice through the speaker and once again at the window before giving me a wonderful smile and saying have a good day, which was a shocking because of how many of the workers there are rude when the costumer makes changes frequently. My boyfriend and I walked in to buy two milkshakes to go. It took us ten minutes of waiting for said milkshakes for another waitress to ask us if we've been help and we replied of course with yes. Another five minutes went by and then they asked us what we ordered. It took us a total of 20 minutes to receive two simple milkshakes. This was all while the manager stood there talking to her waitresses, laughing and carrying on. The most horrible sns I've ever been at. We stopped after dinner on Saturday for dessert. Had the salted caramel pretzel milkshake. Split it with my wife. Excellent. Have to eat it with a spoon it is so thick but not too thick...just right. Worst service I have ever had from this place and to think I used to come here every friday. Looks like someone had a GM or an owner change. Our waitress (paige) was completely unorganized and overwhelmed. Our new waiter austin who was never actually our waiter was on point. At checkout the asst. Manager, the GM and the owner. I went through the drive thru yesterday (March 2 between 11:30AM and noon) and ordered a burger, fries, and a milkshake. The guy carelessly didn't put the lid onto the milkshake tightly enough and milkshake spilled on my car door (exterior), my lap, my car seat, and my steering wheel. He "apologized", gave me napkins, and another milkshake. I should have said something to him then, but profanity would be coming from my mouth. I was on my way to work too. I hurried home, changed clothes, cleaned my car seat, cleaned the long streak of hot fudge syrup on my car door, and drove back to Steak N Shake and spoke to the manager. They didn't give me a refund because "just the cap fell off" (they would have given me a refund if the all of the milkshake have spilled---I should have caused a scene). I was excited about using my Steak N Shake gift card but I won't be using that for quite a while. I do understand that things happen and people make mistakes but I think the drive thru guy did it on purpose (by his tone of voice plus he was trying not to laugh). One of the most poorly run resturaunts I've been to. Me and my family went on a tuesday afternoon where they were almost empty. With six waitresses standing behind the counter, youd think it would take less than ten minutes to get waited on. Then it turns out that the manger is our waitress so now i'm even more bothered by it. This manager started with something along the lines of 'Do you know what you want?' Thats it. No introduction, or specials or even asking if I wanted a high chair for my 2 year old. My husband ordered for all of us and the waitress just walked away without so much as an apology for our wait. After waiting another five minutes we didnt have our drinks or a high chair so i walked up to the little box they were all standing in where our waitress was standing there discussing problems with her boyfriend. As I approached she looked nervous then grabbed our drinks, which apparently had been sitting there waiting for her to finish her conversation. I asked another waitress for a high chair after my waitress didnt acknowledge me and walked to our table and sat our drinks down. When the food came, a waitress that wasnt ours brought it. the food was great. imshocked our waitress put it in right. just took longer than expected but hey, it probably took our waitress tenminutes to give it to them. Good job kitchen!!! All of the waitresses seemed to hate their lives. Didnt see our waitress till we were done. I couldnt have complained if i wanted to seeing as our waitress was a manager, she disappeared, and it looked like the other people in charge were sitting down eating and watching. I will not be back and I will be telling others not to go either. Good food is not worth really really REALLY crappy service. Fail steak n shake, fail! read more

I ordered the Frisco melt meal and when I ordered in the drive thru I pulled around to the window and waited not even 1 minute to get my food. If the food is made to order how did I get the food not even 2 mins after I ordered it? The hamburger was Ice cold, Had only one patty (when there is supposed to be 2), meat did not cover but only half of the bread it was on, was smashed so flat it was literally 1/4 inch thick, and bread was not toasted like it should have been. I asked for fries extra crispy, when I got them they were soggy and ice cold. I work in the restaurant industry as a manager and I know that it is fast food but there should be some kind of quality standards that are upheld weather it is togo, take out, or dining in. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD BURGER DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! This is not the first time I have had issues at this restaurant. This was the first time in months that I have went back there bc of a different horrible experience I had.
