I just left this location with lunch, simple order, hamburger and fry. Once again I got it home and burger was made wrong. I ask for mayo, ketchup and lettuce. Easy burger. I got mayo, a dot of ketchup and a tiny piece of wilted lettuce. See photo. This is 2nd time this summer I tried them and is the LAST time.

It appears to be a…read morerelatively new spot, and after passing by several times, we figured it was worth stopping in--especially since they advertise burgers and beer. Once inside, we quickly realized the menu offers much more than that. The offerings lean more toward a traditional "meat and two vegetables" or home-style plate lunch restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with white gravy, turnip greens, and okra. My wife went with the grilled chicken, paired with okra and what I believe was Mexican street corn. We also added an order of cheese sticks as an appetizer. Overall, the food was solid. The chicken fried chicken was very good--crispy, flavorful, and well-prepared. The okra came out hot and was quite tasty. I was less impressed with the turnip greens, which did not quite hit the mark for me personally. The one real miss was the appetizer: the cheese sticks arrived lukewarm, and the marinara sauce seemed almost cold, as if it had not been fully heated. With a bit more attention to detail, that could easily be improved. That said, the restaurant itself makes a strong impression. It is bright, clean, and well-kept. The staff was friendly, attentive, and responsive throughout our visit, which goes a long way. All things considered, this is a good addition to the area, and I would recommend giving Scotty B's a try.

We tried a few beers from Five Wits and per her recommendation got the creamsicle shake as well. Solid beverage choices. The shake tasted part float part milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Would order again. The food on the other hand was a bit eh. We ordered the Asian q burger and the mushroom melt burger and it took quite a while for them to come out and when they did they had unfortunately been left on the grill for way too long and were charred and crunchy. One set of our fries was cold and the bun to burger ratio was extremely off. Luckily, the staff agreed that our burgers were accidentally overcooked and they remade them no questions asked. The remade burgers were moist and better but still not fantastic. They were just burgers with minimal toppings on them. Not really seasoned and the flavor came from the toppings themselves. The buns were still too big for the burgers so there was a lot of extra bread and they have potential to be great but they were just average. Would have probably been a three star review but the staff and drink selection really earned the extra star. Would go back to drink and maybe snack but probably not order a burger.

The picture of the smashburger does not do it justice. My fault. It was big! I had to cut it in half to eat it. The fries were good but on the cold side. We sat outside because the weather was nice. It was picnic tables with cute lights strung overhead. The rest of the experience would have been 2 stars. We waited forever for our food. This is probably normal bc I do understand they have to cook the calzones but I was tired from a long drive so maybe it was me. Our food came out. They served everyone but 1 of us and asked if we needed anything else. They said they would bring out plates, silverware, etc bc none of that was done during our long wait. I requested ketchup and asked about the calzone that was missing. She said she would check on it. She came back and said to be honest they burned it and have started a replacement. Ok. I guess we would have just done without had we not asked? The burned one was comped and I appreciate that but we should have been told when the food came out. The server was nice but we had to scrounge for napkins and go in for a to-go box.

My wife and I tend to share an appetizer and a main most times when we dine out. We started out with the stuffed piquillo peppers and they did not disappoint! If you are a fan of goat cheese you will love these too. The sweetness of the pepper with the tang of balsamic coupled with the smooth taste of the goat cheese is almost to die for! We then shared the Pimento burger with fries and those too were outstanding! The burger is not overwhelmingly big, but big enough for two to share. The fries were absolutely delish! The service was good as well. I don't remember anything over-the-top outstanding but these days, decent service might actually qualify as over-the-top relative to what you see at most establishments! (so sad) Definitely worth a try if you are in the Chattanooga area.

Now, the place had more noise than a family reunion after someone mentions politics--two teenage softball teams carrying on, laughing, living large. Hard to fault that. Better than silence so thick you can hear your own regrets. Food showed up quick, which is about all you can ask when you're hungry enough to consider eating the menu. And it was good--honest good. Not "tell your mama about it" good, but solid, dependable, "yep, I'd order that again" good. Prices didn't make you feel like you'd just financed somebody's boat, either. Beer was cold--like it ought to be, like it better be--and the waitress understood to be there exactly when we needed her and vanishing when we didn't. That's an art form. Now the atmosphere... well, it had all the charm of a place that once had big decorating plans and then decided, "Eh, this'll do." A little on the bare side. Felt like a Friday night that never quite got dressed up. But I'll tell you this--I'd go back. And that, right there, is about the highest praise you can give a place without writing a love letter to the chef.

They were okay, but for 5 bucks...what do you expect?‍. I would say the accompanying butter was supposed to be honey butter, but it seemed like regular butter to me! The server was polite, but I was scratching my head because she started with---"Let me go see what's not available anymore." Shouldn't she have done that before speaking to us?? The atmosphere is relaxed, but there isn't much to the decor. It was just casual.... there was brown butcher paper on top of white table cloths...kind of tacky really. It was busy, however, which added to the noise. Hubby and I both ordered the 1885 burger. Now, we are talkin'! The burger was delicious! . It was juicy and tasty. Just an all around fantastic burger. This alone is what will bring me and hubby back. The loaded baked potato was standard, but good too. It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.
