Stopped in at Cracker Barrel just off I-72 near Decatur, Illinois for lunch, and went a different…read moreroute than usual. I ordered the vegetable plate with four sides, broccoli, baby carrots, collard greens with ham, and green beans. The broccoli was cooked just right, still had some firmness to it and not mushy. The carrots were simple and good, exactly what you expect when they're done right. The green beans had that slow-cooked flavor, definitely not straight out of a can, they had some seasoning and depth to them. The collard greens with ham were the standout. Nice smoky flavor, well-seasoned, and clearly had some time put into them. I also had cornbread, which came out warm, a little crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and a hot mocha with the meal. This was a good reminder that you don't have to go heavy here to get a solid meal. The vegetable plate holds its own and actually brings more flavor than you might expect. Hrat Mo day special - burger and fries for $6. Today I had the Oklahoma burger. Goodness, they were not kidding when they said it had a lot of onions. I love their grilled onions. Asked for wellvdone bacon and got it! So good. Now, eating this burger with lots of onions, bacon, and cheese was not a pretty sight, but my friend did not care that I had to use about 5 napkins. Oh...and fries? Super hot and fresh with a great seasoning. They have improved since my first few visits. Best burger in Sullivan. Their fries are on par with Memphis Black BBQ, but they do jot charge for their seasoning...and they only have one flavor not several. Wonderful service. Order came out quickly and was correct. Big serving. 100% recommended...

The only reason I gave as much as 2 stars is for the waitress. Having my food prepared by a maid…read morecook is a service and the cook in that place doesn't deserve such recognition. 1. Dude has no clue on how to time out his his orders. 2.the place was NOT busy at all and even just an order of fried mozzarella took 10 minutes. 3.the guy can't read. I placed my order, short skirt double cheeseburger with bacon, fries and an order of fried mozzarella, and made it clear to the waitress that it was for take out. She noted it on the ticket. 10 minutes later she came to me and said the cook had cooked the fried mozzarella first because he failed to read it was for take out. She asked me if I wanted to eat the mozzarella while he cooked the burger and fries. I said no, it fir takeout. Get this, I decided to time a how long it took for the burger and fries. Again, the place was not busy.it took 27 minutes of sitting on the most uncomfortable bar stools known to man before I finally got my food. This means the fried mozzarella was cold before I walked out the door. Burger- absolutely no seasoning..AT ALL. The use the greasiest cheese on the market. I asked for light onions, there were none. The bacon was thick but so chewy I couldn't eat it. Fries- they're fresh cut. They have kind of a sweet seasoning but not much. Floppy as hell. I've noticed that most places that have fresh cut tries do not prepare them properly. Fresh cut have to either be soaked in cold water so they can release some starch or be double fried or BOTH for best results. Those fries were so floppy a could have tied them in a knot. The fried cheese- thin slices of breaded cheese, no seasoning but there was an attempt to roll them in what looked like Doritos. I drove from Neoga to this place after seing a review on tiktok. They must have know who he was or called ahead. I got the same food he got but it didn't look anywhere near what his looked like and he obviously didn't have to wait a total of 37 minutes be that guy would have said so. The bar- super uncomfortable stools and WHO THE HELL has a bar without some sort of foot rest. This is a "bar & grill" but it's obvious they don't want people sitting at the bar spending money on drinks.

I don't know what other issues people had with service but everyone was super nice and helpful. And walked me thru the menu. Got the smoke wings with garlic parm on side. I would vote 7/10. Great flavor withoutsauce but a "little" dry. If we are being picky vs others I've tried. But again, I would 100% get them again. Garlic parm sauce was great to dip them in. The star of the meal? The smoked pastrami 20/10. . Hands down.. amazing. It's an extremely close second to Green Street bbq in Chicago. I got their regular bbq sauce (Carolina red) on the side. It's called Carolina but no vinegar. Which I'm ok with. What great sweat bbq sauce. Totally unique. Would be amazing on chicken or pulled pork. I'm now a huge fan of this place. Can't wait to try rest of menu and Brisket Mac n cheese!

I stepped to the back of the line to wait my turn. The young lady taking orders took five people's orders ahead of me. I stepped up to order and she stepped away to start helping the two people fixing the food. Now I was the last one in the line when she stepped away. Why she just did not take my order and then step away I doing not know. I stood there for a long time then gave up and left. I ran in to the owner outside and told him about it. He just blew me off and called me Buddy. The owners have been arrogant in the past for no reason. I am aways nice and respectful. This restaurant's business is good now but treating good customers like this will hurt your business in the long run. I will never eat there again.

LOL Food: My cousin ordered fries and a fish sandwhich and it apparently hit the spot. Fries were fresh and hot and salted just right (I had to sample) and she wasn't sharing her fish sandwich.. so I'm going to assume she enjoyed it; it disappeared quickly. LOL Ambiance: didn't go in
