My husband & I arrived in Madrid from Seville via the rail station. When we arrived at our hotel they said it was too early for us to get checked into a room, as it wasn't ready yet. We looked on Yelp for some food suggestions, & my husband made note of Steak Burger place as we were being driven to our hotel. It had some nice reviews, so we thought we'd give it a try. As soon as we walked in, I said "yum" it smelled amazing inside the restaurant!! We were immediately seated at a comfy table for 2, & given a UPC code to look up their full menu. We decided on a steak burger with bacon & cheese. We chose the smallest of the three options, it was more than enough to fill both of us up. It was delicious!! I looked at my husband & said "this is the best beef we've had since we left home (8 weeks ago!)". We've been through 7 other countries since we departed on 5/1/25. The bacon cheeseburger came with fries & they were crispy, yet tender on the inside. After we finished, our waiter (who made sure we had what we needed, but didn't fuss over us) asked if we wanted dessert. My hubby said "what do you have". When our waiter mentioned cheesecake, my husbands eyes lit up & so we ordered their cheesecake. It was one of the largest slices we have ever been served out at a restaurant. It had raspberry crumbles on top of it (I would have preferred chocolate, because what doesn't go with chocolate???). My husband probably would have chosen fresh strawberries on top, but he thoroughly enjoyed the raspberry crumbles. All in all it was a very delicious meal for about 28 euros (not too bad). It was a lively atmosphere, so if you want peace & quiet, it's not the place for you. We split everything we ordered, & we both left quite full. My only negative comment (which may not bother some people) is: Of all of the places we've had meals at over the last 8 weeks in Europe, this one was the most like US restaurants in that they want to turn tables as quickly as possible. They were swamped (we were seated immediately which was a plus for us) but I saw a woman approach our waiter about getting a table in this very busy restaurant, & not long after that, the same waiter approached a couple next to us & within minutes the couple were moved to a table near the rear of the restaurant. The lady who had approached our waiter & her 2 friends were seated at that now vacant table. Shortly after that, a young guy sitting at a high top bar looking table, by himself, was moved to somewhere else in the restaurant & 3 young ladies ended up with his original table. As we were leaving I noticed the three young ladies moving. Another couple was standing near our table, were apparently waiting to be seated, & I assume they were seated at our table before we reached the door to exit. In my opinion, It was a lot of shuffling, but I guess it turns more tables & makes the owner/manager group happy. As we finished with items it they were quickly removed from our table, which also expedites the clearing of tables & makes it quicker to seat new people, thus turning more money. I really liked the idea of your table is yours until you decide you don't want it anymore, everywhere else in Europe.

Incredible service. Everyone is super attentive and welcoming. The venue is comfortable and there are plenty seating to accommodate groups. The host was super professional and really hospitable. I was incredible surprised by the menu. I ordered the burger vacuno with fries and a lemonade. The burger was wonderful and tasty. Excellent flavor and tenderness of my burger meat, fresh ingredients and melted cheese made my dinner a delightful experience. I would definitely come back to try more dishes!

One of Madrids best place to eat in the city! Spain is the best country in the world when it comes to food. This restaurant helps prove that. Though it's not your traditional Spanish food, the taste and quality is nothing short from amazing. We got the pollo asado and churrasco ( & croquetas de jamón de bellota which where not taken pictures of ) the food had incredible taste! Best steak house I've ever been to! Great taste, great service and its right next to la gran via!

As we approached Steak Burger was closed. We decided to wait a bit. Yah, after 2 weeks in Spain we craved American food. Think first words from staff is, do you have a reservation. We sat in the front & can say. About 90 % of walk-in's did not have reservations. Think it's rude if that's the first thing the restaurant staff ask. However the restaurant was able to accommodate everyone who walked in. The nachos were just like home! Guacamole, Piccadillo & black beans topped with jalapeños served on top of crispy tortilla chips. Nachos easily feeds 2 people. Burgers oh sheesh to die for! Beef! Ya medium rare cooked to perfection. Juicy and hot! Other burger perfect medium well. All burgers served with fries. Which I may mention are spanking hot and fresh! We would definitely return. However staff should work on manners.

This is more like 3.5 stars. I would highly recommend eating in, as in the food comes out 100 different than delivery. Had such a nice dinner here. I ordered from Uber eats twice. Their drivers really worked hard to get me my food when they couldn't contact me because my number didn't work. Had their Miami burger which has a monster patty . However , I wish it was seasoned better. I found myself adding salt and pepper. Cheese was bland , and the sweet sauce not so appetizing. Bread felt stale the second time. And the fries were nothing special . I was hungry so it did fill me. Why I ordered twice was because it was the only decent place open late. Their wings however really were awesome. The sauce it came with was amazing. They do give great service , but that tasteless burger made me feel I wasted my money. Very simple fix , but I'm sure they have to stick to the recipe . Maybe I'll try the ribs next time. I really want to like this place.

Surprisingly good burgers! We got to madrid the day before Christmas and unfortunately right around 4:30/5pm when most restaurants are starting to close.. this was the only place that took us in and we were surprised at how good our food turned out. And this place was really spacious. I got the British burger medium rare and it was delicious.

Delicious burgers. Cooked perfectly. They seated us right at the front of the restuarant looking out at the Main Street. Had a lovely dining experience with the family. Everyone enjoyed their burgers. I got the Katrina Dry Aged Burger. It came with a jalapeño relish, plantain chips, arugula, Gouda cheese, and avocado Mayo. This was the best mix of spicy, sweet, and overall amazing burger. Loved it!

Located a few blocks…read moreeast of Puerta del Sol, it's nice because there are no hordes of people you have to navigate to find it. This is a place for people who appreciate their food and the experience, not for the tourist masses that are looking to get fed quick and cheap. It is an interesting set up as they have dining rooms on both sides of the street. I was in the one on the east side of the street and taken downstairs into the basement which has the looks of a refurbished ancient cellar. I had a 2 top in the corner to myself with a great view of the room so I could appreciate what everyone else was eating. I had a very civilized time. Frenetic Tapas this is not. There are white linen tablecloths present, a small container of housemade chimichurri, menus on line, great wi-fi service, a full bar and wine list, and menus that are bovine centric. I had an Argentine Negroni (the Argentine nod is due to a splash of Fernet Branca giving it a slight minty taste on the back end) and a glass of affordable, high ranking Tempranillo. These were perfect with the olive and bread starters with EVOO/Spanish vinegar on the table to mix to taste and also served with compounded butter. I was there to eat and the Mollejas (veal sweetbreads) are a must in my opinion. They are listed as a house specialty and come on a charcoal heated sizzle plate served with a side of broad flaked sea salt to finish to taste. Crispy edges and creamy textures throughout with a hit of grilled lemon and they were simply sublime. I also took down an Entraña (skirt steak) that seemed larger than its described 300 grams. Also served on a sizzle plate it was perfectly cooked by some expert grill guys upstairs. To ensure that I ate something with color, I had a salad on the side that I dressed to taste with the EVOO/Spanish vinegar on the table. The service here is friendly, professional, and not overbearing. My meal was about $85 USD which is pricey by typical Madrid eating standards but it was worth it considering the quality, quantity, and variety of what I experienced. I would be happy to go back here again any time I'm in the area!

When I found out I was coming to Madrid I had to book a table. First things first, my suggestion is book way in advance. This place fills up fast. My friend and I waited too long and the only seating we could get was at 11:15 PM. No big deal though there's plenty of places you can get a light snack in the surrounding area while exploring the city. Walking in, the architecture immediately hits you. Low ceilings, gorgeous old brick, tight dining rooms, it really feels like you stepped back in time. The whole atmosphere is elevated without being stiff. Staff was super friendly and made the experience feel smooth from start to finish. There's also apprently a really nice wine cellar at the bottom I overheard other patrons bragging about. Food wise, I will keep it real, it was good, just not my favorite meal in Madrid. The sangria was solid, definitely one of my highlights. The croquettes were fire. Crispy, creamy, exactly what you want. My friend's seafood casserole was actually really good too, I lowkey wish I went that route. Now the misses. The sautéed vegetables with Iberian ham didn't do it for me. The veggies needed seasoning bad, and the ham leaned a little too salty, so together it just felt off. The suckling pig, the signature dish, was good, but I was not blown away. If I find myself returning here, I would explore other options. After dinner, there was a little show and they let you keep a souvenir menu, which was a nice touch and made the night feel more memorable. Overall I had a solid 3.5 star experience rounded up to 4. Sobrino de Botín is history, it is iconic, and it is worth saying you have been. Just do not expect it to be the best meal of your trip. Hit Botín, soak it in, then go explore the rest of Madrid's food scene, because that is where things really start to shine.

We hadn't planned on eating there but decided to drop in. The interior is cozy and inviting, while outdoor seating is available if you prefer to dine al fresco (though it can get a bit windy outside). In fact, our water glass toppled over with one gust of wind. Reservations are recommended, as the place seems popular. The menu features a wide variety of traditional Spanish dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. Our T-bone steak arrived perfectly cooked, served with grilled peppers and sliced golden potatoes, it was simple, flavorful, and satisfying. The squid was also very good, but the standout dish was the asparagus in tempura with almond mayonnaise. Perfectly fried and incredibly light, it was absolutely outstanding. Another highlight was the homemade Iberian ham croquettes served with candied pepper sauce which were creamy and rich on the inside with a delicate crisp on the outside and a wonderful balance of flavor. To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a few glasses of Rioja Azpilicueta Crianza (Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo, 12 months aging, 2021). It was a bit on the dry side, but helped take the edge off the chilly wind while we sat outside enjoying a late lunch. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even indulging my enthusiasm for photographing the slicing of the Iberian ham. All in all, La Mi Venta delivered a fantastic, authentic Spanish dining experience with great food, good wine, and welcoming service in a charming setting. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Madrid.
