This is a review on the one located inside of Fremont hotel and casino. This location was busy at this time lots of people eating here. The cashier was friendly and smiling, she took out order and told us it wouldn't be long. We got the #1 combo and the fresco melt. These are both great choices super tasty and very well cooked, my only complaint to that both were super oily so much it was soaked through the paper it was wrapped in. Still it was cooked good and tasted fresh. The fries are well cooked and crispy just how I like them. Drinks are fountain soda they have Pepsi products. They have lots of places to sit as this is near their food court. At this time this is only place open here at this hour of the day. So give this place a try and happy eating... read more

Fremont Street is a way to have some fun. After a long weekend of walking, drinking, and playing music all around you time for food. We stopped in here for some food and shakes. The shakes that they serve are just epic. The burgers are pretty delicious too. The manager of the store does it all ! She was just lovely. She smiled and made small conversations about our prior plans and fun on Fremont . It made the time pass! Then here's the food. The food rocked! It was hot and delicious! All we needed truly! While staying at the Fremont Hotel, I tried Steak 'n Shake for the first time. I ordered the chili cheese fries to go, and they were so good! I really liked that they used the skinnier fries, and the chili had really good flavor. I also didn't have to wait very long for my order, which was a plus. I was down three hundred my first night in Vegas. And came across this big sign they said a burger meal for 4.99. I needed something good and fast I had been gambling all night. Boy did I come to the right place. This place was clean and had great service. This burger was better than any fast food burger chain and came with fries and a drink. You can't beat it. It was the middle of the night and I was in a bad mood from losing money at the casino. But the staff here was friendly and made sure I got fed quality food with the quickness. I went here three nights in a row while I was staying at The Fremont. It is was the only place open in the food court late night/early morning so it was understandably busy. Each time I wen there the young lady, Akina on the receipt, was friendly and handled the obnoxious crowd professionally and with courtesy. She should get a raise and you should hire more help! read more

My one and only time at Steak 'n Shake, what a disappointment. The hamburger patties are almost as thin as luncheon meat, plus they're flavorless. Not much dressing to give the burger flavor. Second, the fries, they're too thin, they cool off too quickly to enjoy the batch given. Also, there's no flavor to the fries, the employees need to "shake" some spice/flavoring onto them. Whoever approved the burger patties and the style of fries should never work in the food industry again. read more

I'm not the biggest steak and shake fan but my sister loves it. We went to this location and it was so good!!!! The burger was like a smash burger. Nice and crispy on the end. Very yummy. The food was not bad but you don't get much for the price. The burger was as small as a Mc Donald's double cheeseburger but cost as much as a Red Robin burger. Overall the service was good and the mood / ambiance was of a quick service restaurant. I understand the need to increase prices due to the Vegas area but there should be more product. I recommend trying it yourself and see what you think. read more

After spending several days on the Strip, we needed a place to cut back on our spending. We visited Fremont Street on St Patty's Day, and the Fremont Food Hall did the trick! Steak and Shake had the longest line in the Food Hall; with prices like these, it's no wonder why. How satisfying to only spend $5.99 on a burger, fries, and drink. The burger was a bit small, but at this price it was easy to go back and get another one. Just note, the $5.99 item is not on their menu posted inside. There is a large poster advertising it on the outside of the building, and the staff know all about it as well. Although busy, the service remained friendly. I will gladly go back if I go to Fremont again. read more

I ordered on DoorDash and included some special instructions. Marla reached out right away to confirm and make sure my order was perfect. She was so attentive even through the app and I did not even know they could message me on there! It truly felt like she cared about getting everything just right. Marla offered me a shake as a sorry for the no mushrooms at her location. - the driver definetly took that but I appreciate the effort hahaha When my food arrived it was exactly how I asked for it, fresh, neatly packaged. The extra attention to detail made the whole experience stand out. Fast friendly service the 2 times I been here. Located inside the freemont casino along with other food locations. They have your regular burger combos and specialities. We went with the Royal Double Steak Burger Combo. 9.99 the burger itself plus 3.49 to make it a Md combo. I believe the large is 5.49 more. The burger comes with bacon, it's steak patties, over hard eggs and tomato and lettuce. The meat seasoning tasted kinda like larys seasoning but with a BBQ Smokey flavor, the meat was juicy too. The fries are like McDonald fries but better and thinner/ crunchy and more for your buck. I absolutely loved them. I'll have to come back for their shakes read more

I got the single burger with cheese combo w/ fries and a drink. Service was not too bad but when the lines get long it can take a while. The workers were super nice !! The food was delicious, but we came here for a milkshake and they let us know the machine will be down for another week which was odd considering they're called Steak 'n Shake * and shakes are apart of their brand , and they were out of ketchup the whole night for a burger spot? I know it's not the employees fault but management should be at fault and be liable because that is ridiculous . read more

Customer service was courteous and professional. Ordered Oreo shake , fries and onion rings. The shake is made with soft serve ice cream...not thick, on the runny side and icy. It was okay but prefer it to be on the thicker side and made with ice cream. The fires were skinny, some crispy. Like the crib fries but not used to having fries this skinny. I don't usually like visiting restaurants that we have in my home state while out of town, but Steak and Shake is a familiar and dependable option. My husband and I seem to find our way to this location each time we visit Fremont Street. At 10am, after arriving despite some chaos surrounding the morning's travels, we just needed sustenance! The Frisco Melt with extra sauce on the side for dipping was the perfect "coat your belly for all the drinking you're gonna do" meal! Fast, easy... much more expensive in Vegas, but fairly decent. read more

it was so nice!! i was so lucky that the line was short when we stopped in. the cashier was very nice, my receipt said her name was fatima. i asked about the 4.99 deal they advertised outside and she was happy to provide it to me! she was awesome. she filled my fountain drink right to the top and was very kind. the burger came out rather fast and it was good. for 4.99 right on fremont street i was ecstatic to find a good quality burger for such a good price. the issue i had was the meat didn't have very much seasoning, like it wasn't salted. otherwise, i loved the fries and the drink was refreshing. the wait was short and the cashier was awesome! i would be back, just not when it's super busy. read more

We each got the Frisco burger. It was exceptionally greasy and parts of the cheese edges were hard, as if they'd been exposed to air. There wasn't lettuce or any other condiments on the burger either. Super plain for an almost $16 combo. The fries were good, service not bad for an order at the front fast food place. Adding insult to injury was the $9.00 we had to pay for parking. Won't return. read more

They were extremely bland, had almost no flavor, and it seemed like they were missing the breading altogether. They tasted like they had just been fried until they were dry. At least my dogs enjoyed them. The cheeseburger patty itself had good flavor, but the toppings were underwhelming. Mine didn't have any lettuce (I'm not sure if it's supposed to), came with one very thick slice of tomato, and what looked like the end piece of an onion. Overall, it was pretty average. The Hot Mess Fries completely saved the meal. They were crispy, loaded with cheese, and the sauce was delicious. The sliced peppers added a nice kick and brought everything together. I'd definitely order those again.

I also asked if the burgers were ground in house and she shook her head no. We started out by sharing the macaroni and cheese bites. They were fried nicely and had nice cheesy filling. Not sure what it was but they also left a weird after taste that I didn't like but maybe other people might not be bothered by. Since I didn't know what was in the burgers I ordered a Chicken Sandwich called Fowl Play. It was a big sloppy sandwich. I really wish they used knives and forks here because it was hard to eat as it was. It was reasonably GOOD but did run on the sweet side. The fries that came with it were fresh made and good. My husband tried the Green Chili Burger and asked for it to be cooked Medium-Rare. It came out well done. It was very good for a well done burger with good flavors and all but still it was well done. It also wasn't very busy but our server didn't feel the need to check on us so she didn't stop by until we finished. We told her the burger was well done instead of medium-rare.
