I'm an inner City girl, live downtown Portland and have to walk past multiple tents and step over people to get in Walgreens, harassed for money to and from my car. People, seriously, be thankful! Picked up some items I needed, and grabbed some dark chocolate covered marshmallows Easter eggs because the basket in my kitchen counter somehow got raided! Those working here were are friendly and were delighted when I told them how impressed I was with the store. I realized, I needed about 55 package more, I thought I have a great supply @ home, from way back when I did sewed a lot. I was wrong! So, I started trying to find them @ any craft or fabric stores closer to town. But Cutter's have the cheapest in the Portland area. I didn't really care for the price in other stores, but I JUST NEED more, and I'm buying every stock ALL stores have. Since I needed about 48 more packages to finish my job, I was desperate & started shopping online, sadly, they're charging up to $7 for a package @ Amazon, when I orig. bought them @ Cutter's for $1,29 a package. I called the store, explained to her my desperation "and can you order 48 for me?" "The (Dritz) vendor was just here, I'll see if I can catch him!" She called me back, and told me she left him a message. "It will have to be Monday, or when I will hear back from him", she added. (I waited 2 days). She was prompt in getting back with a good news & a bad news. To make the story short, I was satisfied with the good news, they have 20 packages on their way to the store and then left me a message when I could go pick them up! I was really excited, even told her I'll add a Star on my review on YELP, for getting back to me so fast. 30 miles back to Molalla, I went straight to the manager inquiring him about my snaps and are being on hold out in the back room He told me: "you're pretty lucky to get this at a low price since she did looked them up online and she had been charging them TOO LOW!" But after paying for them, and are halfway back home, I found out, she had jacked up the price from $1.29 to $2,79. Fabric Depot or Joan's Fabric were selling theirs $.10-$.20 cents cheaper than that! So why did they do that to me, when I could have ordered them from other stores? If it weren't for me, wanting 48 packages more, they would have continued to sell their products @ a lower price, but I gave them a wake up call, so they CAN RAISE THEIR PRICE UP FOR me? Or was that a mistake to raise their price up AFTER I'VE LEFT! But this is not the end, wait till my Credit Card company hears about this one! Not a happy camper! UPDATE: I called the store & talked to the manager. My box CLEARLY stated how much I was supposed to be charge $1.29 each, and the cashier rung them up by scanning them. I have more orders that's coming up, when I go pick those up, they'll give me the difference and correct the matter! I'm adding them two more stars!

My teen daughter dropped off a disposable camera for processing before the holidays with some…read morepictures with her best friend during her trip to Indiana last July. She was so excited to get them developed, so I went in with her and showed her how to order prints. When she picked them up, she was charged about $10 for processing and a cd. Sadly, the envelope included two dark blurry prints, the cd and a note that said the roll was exposed. She was extremely upset about her pictures not turning out and the added insult of having to pay for nothing. I took the envelope back to the store and talked to the manager, who went above and beyond to apologize and make things right. He said staff is supposed to check each order and call customers when things like that happen. He apologized profusely and promptly refunded the cost of developing and added points for our trouble to the new MyWalgreens rewards program. This is what customer service looks like to me!

The window gal was slow and when she finally sent us the meds thru their tube-shoot my wife pulled the basket out and all the contents fell on the ground. She had sent it upside down. My wife pushed the call button and explained to her that all the contents has fallen on the ground. She said "ok" and then giggled and said "have a nice day." She never apologized. Upon looking at our meds we noticed that the box that had our meds was very ruffled, almost crushed. We had our family in the car and were on a tight schedule so we chose to give a call back when we arrived at home later that day. My wife spoke with the pharmacist on floor at that time (Michelle), and explained what had happened and that there was no apology and that the box looked almost crushed. She asked if everything was ok with the meds. We said that it looks like it's ok, but we didn't know for sure. Now, usually when you call to complain about something that person is supposed to input this conversation into a database for reference. However, that was never done. And this is the Pharmacist. So much for due diligence. In retrospect, we should have just returned the damaged box and told them we would not accept it that way, but like I said, we had other things to attend to. Well, a few days later my wife went to use my medication and when she tried to use it, it was not working. It was definitely broken. Grrr... We drove back to the pharmacy and spoke with a very unemotional pharmacy tech (all of them seem to have worst attitude at the store) and she cut us off telling us to go to the next window and we could speak with the Pharmacist. Upon meeting with Mr. Congeniality (and I say that with the most sarcastic tone... his name is Nathan (he has a beard). Beware!), he had us wait for 20mins as he "looked into it." My wife finally went to see what the delay was and he said that he needed to review the cameras to basically make sure "WE" were not the ones who damaged the box/medication. ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?!?!?! NONE of the medication was used and we didn't notice that it was broken until we pulled it out to use it a few days later. We said that the damage was NOT on us. Now why on earth would I damage my own medication??? Unbelievable!! A few mins later he called us up to the counter and said "I disagree". He basically was calling us liars! What a POS!!! He then explained that he was the one who dispensed the meds to us that day. So I then called him the one who was the liar as he should never had dispensed a physically damaged box like that. He said "well, wasn't damaged when I dispensed it." Un-freaking-believable!!! We should have just brought it back that same day. He was heartless, showed no emotion or empathy in any way and was extremely dismissive. This ordeal was horrible for my wife and I. I have used them for years and we will NEVER go the this Walgreens again. I would highly suggest that anyone think twice before using them as your pharmacy provider. I'm still so mad as I type this. I can usually let things go...but.... @#$%^&*.

When calling in for assistance, I was on hold more than an hour before the call dropped TWICE. I went to the pharmacy. Then I waited in line for 30 -45 minutes, and then the pharmacy closed before I got to the window. This has been happening at this location for more than 6 months. It seems obvious that it is a staffing issue, hours cut drastically from 7 days a week, 9-9, to M-F 9-6. I can only blame corporate policy for the low staffing.
