I…read morestayed here with my wife for 2 nights during the winter break in February and was really happy that we selected this spot. Here are some of the good things about the hotel- The location was great. The rooms were good (had a microwave and a fridge). They had a BBQ that was there for guests to use. We used it one night and it was great. They have a sitting garden area which was a great place to relax in the shade. The owners and people working their were nice. They set out coffee and granola bars in the morning. Altogether, this was a great spot to stay. It was cheap compared to other hotels located on the water and had a good vibe to it (as far as being able to chill in the garden area). While this is not a 4 star resort, it worked for me and I would absolutely go back.

I walked around 15 minutes trying to find a way in but finally ended up calling to see where the entrance was. Just know this going in to call when you arrive. I was told the room was open and key was hanging on hook. The room was fine and bed was comfy. 3rd day I told them there was a lightbulb out in one of the lamps and the caulking was breaking away from the bathroom sink. I also had to request housekeeping for the trash to be emptied and bed to be changed. Note: you will need to do this too. Overall it's an older hotel and I was looking for budget friendly trip. It was a short walk to beach. If you don't mind the other things then go for it.

Trukin'- Dear Rock Music Lovers and Dead Heads, this deceivingly "cheap" motel is one of the most…read morehistorically significant and important in Rock Music History! I had a special and illuminating experience here. The rooms are clean and carry an air of Rober Hunter's wisdom, and Jerry Garcia smoothness, and the Band's brilliant musicality. The motel is quiet during the week, perfect for legendary songwriting, poetry or jamming by the parking lot (it used to be a pool in 1970). Recently discovered records suggest that after the Grateful Dead performed at Pirates Word, and around March 23-24, in 1970, the band had some time off after the Winter's End Festival that was going to take place in Pembroke Pines FL at the Miami-Hollywood International Speedway was cancelled. Local legend says that at the last minute, they stayed here in this motel. This is where most locals believe that the great Robert Hunter finished writing the lyrics to Truckin' and the band sat by the pool creating the music. There used to be a pool where the parking lot is now, but it was paved over years ago to save money. Locals claim that the band stayed in rooms 215 and 214. The band did not stay at Pirates World Hotel (it was too expensive and the band was financially broke in 1970), and no they did NOT stay at the Hotel Dello in Fort Lauderdale Airport (that is false advertising by them) because that hotel did not even exist in 1970. It was, here however, in this little cheap motel by the roadside of US-1. Quiet and unassuming, and perfect for writing the Rock and Roll masterpiece like "Trukin'". I found an original 1970's post card and also artistically designed a new painted vintage inspired post card of what the hotel looked like in 1970, inspired by a real 1970 Fero's Court hotel photo that I found on Ebay. If you notice, the car in the post card has got a "Touch of Grey". Oh... Florida... what a long, strange trip it's been.

Her description of how nice the place was did it no justice at all. I absolutely loved the cozy feel of the place. The room was extremely immaculate. Floor so clean I could see my reflection!! The room we got had a full kitchen and a dining room table. The pool stayed open at night and because its just a small complex no one else was out on the first night and we were able to enjoy the beautifully lit pool and jacuzzi in the Florida night air alone. Towels were readily available along w/ sunscreen if we needed it. The next night I met Jay and Wayne out at the pool. They own and operate the guesthouse. I LOVE GREAT customer service and usually you can't even have a conversation with the owners. The day we checked out we weren't hounded about the time. It was storming terribly but most places wouldn't have cared they just want you out at check out. LOL. **Oh yeah and I forgot to mention that the property has a gate around it giving it a feel of safety, security and coziness. WE will definitely be back there and you should go too!! :)

Sometimes the staff on the ground floor would have us take the service elevator, but then the cleaning staff trying to use those elevators would be visibly frustrated with any guests in the elevator. The lazy river was much smaller than what it looked online, but my son still had the best time in the river. I do wish there was a lifeguard on duty. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were pretty comfortable. The restaurant was solid! Breakfast could be slow, but unless you have a child who just wants to be at the pool it would be a non-issue. We loved the beach as well. My biggest complaint was the onsite parking price. You have no choice but to valet and they getcha at around $60 per day.

We had to sign that we would pay it and call Chase Travel and have them speak with the resort. Even then, the front desk manager was implying we might have to pay it. Also, keep in mind that there are no pool towels after 8PM. It was very cold getting out when the resort fee was supposed to include towels, LOL. The little restaurant next door is awesome. The hotel would have been awesome if not for the front desk people, bluntly. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.
