At first our ac was blowing warm air and then the ac suddenly stopped working. So the first ac repair determined there was a leak, so he just needed to spray a sealant for the leak. He said this works for majority of the houses he does. After he sprayed the sealant, the ac got cold and it was working. But then a month later, the day before thanksgiving, the ac went warm again and the air started to slowly blow. We also just had a baby and our house was really hot, even with all the windows and fans on. We then contacted the first guy who came out to the sealant and he said he will come out in a few days. He came out and said that the parts that needed to be fixed, the compressor and the coil, were under warranty and he will be able to fix it the next day. Unfortunately the day came and he never showed or called. We then contacted another ac repair because our house was really hot and we were getting desperate. The second ac company came out and didn't give us a clear answer but gave us two options, replace the compressor and coil and hope that works or change route the entire system which will resolve everything. However, their cost was an estimate of $12,000. We were then referred by family to Tino. Our family said that he is knowledgeable, honest and his prices are very reasonable. Be his also a military vet and gave them a good deal. We then called Tino. After his inspection, he said that the system we had was a second-hand unit that when Tino called the Trane company they said the system can't be found and never registered. The system also looked "jerry rig" and was not put in properly therefore it affected the rest of the system. Being new owners of the house, less than two years into the house , we were pretty upset and this was not disclosed in our agreement. Tino recommended to change the system. He does agree, that the compressor is out and if there is a leak then there is an issue with the coil. But he said if just one thing gets fixed, it will just a domino affect and we will have to change as each thing goes bad, costing us more money and time. He gave us prices for reasonable units with the cost of labor and we decided to get a new unit. Tino is pretty fast once you place a deposit and set up the repair date. Once the repair date came, Tino and his team were fast, respectful, and experienced. They ensured everything they did was done and working before they left and even set up our registering our new ac unit. Tino was great and we highly recommend him for all of your ac needs!

Overall, great staff and service! Tai (Manager) was a huge help from the very beginning. He was able to provide me with multiple quotes & possible design layouts for different split systems to look at my options and work within my budget. Not only that, he was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of info about AC systems, warranties and suggestions on installation. The workers were fast with installation as well and was able to work within my schedule. In the end, I decided to go with a Fujitsu tri-zone system for my townhome so that I'm able to have multiple indoor units but stick with 1 outdoor condenser as my association has restrictive guidelines for split AC systems. Plus, Fujitsu had a better warranty. I'd definitely reach out to them for maintenance when that time comes and on any future projects. They partner with Hawaii Energy and gave me $150 off instant rebate for maintenance cleaning both my indoor and outdoor units, which made their rate very competitive compared to all the other company quotes. Cleaning day I was notified in advance when the technicians were on their way. The 2 technicians were professional and came on time with their company KK air conditioning truck and van. They were both very nice and patient with my 2 curious toddlers and dogs. The cleaning work was phenomenal, and both indoor and outdoor units were squeaky clean when they were done. 3.5% fee for credit card payment and received an email invoice receipt. In mid May 2024, I had our central air conditioning serviced. I contacted this company after…read morereading the reviews. The appointment was made very promptly and Myra was very friendly. On the day of the appointment, we noticed the two technicians were consulting with someone on the phone. We found out later it was the owner of the company. Long story short, they were confused about the drain lines and had to spend additional time "unclogging " them ( which we were charged for). We paid over $500 for this "service"! We were grateful for what we thought at the time was their due diligence and thoroughness. I even wrote a very complimentary review on their website. Fast forward to August 31, 2024 when we discovered a leak originating from the upstairs ceiling. The origin of the leak was an overflow of the drain pan from the air conditioning unit because the drain was not working properly! I immediately called KK air conditioning to let them know and Keith the owner came out. He informed us that the installation of the condensate pan was improperly installed (this is not true because this is not a new installation and we have had it assessed by two other AC companies since then and they did not mention improper installation) which caused the leak and that the technicians cleaned out the secondary drain because the primary drain was difficult to access as it was underground?!? I asked him why weren't we told this at the time since we're not the air conditioning experts and he replied, "they're just technicians " . Keith felt he was doing us a BIG favor by not charging us a fee for coming out to check on this problem. The cost for the damages of the leak was over $53 thousand dollars and took 3 months to resolve. Our homeowners insurance was increased 278 percent for 5 years!

I originally left a negative review because I was charged a $211.52 site fee that wasn't disclosed…read morewhen I booked the appointment. When I called to ask about it, I was told the company was busy, then that the referral company should have told me, and there were no notes on their end. It felt frustrating at first with a lot of back-and-forth. To their credit, they eventually refunded me the full amount, which I really appreciate. I'm glad they made it right, but I hope in the future they communicate fees clearly upfront to avoid confusion for other customers.
