Go to Amazon for real guaranteed quality & no trouble getting refund. Do not be conned into giving them money because of the many fake self reviews. If you do fall for it you will know instantly. Sells jewelry for hundreds or thousands of dollars through their flim flam sales.  They claim real rocks & gems...but according to jeweler, the Mother of Pearl necklace is actually plastic and the "real ruby pendant" that is very brown & dull & free (obviously not real), is a piece of glass along w the others. Cheap watches fall apart showing junk parts.  Necklaces break first or second wearing. The chains so cheap sharp edges hurt with tiny cuts to skin & links detach being cheap brittle metal. Cheap thread for beads broke first time worn, and unsoldered cheap links opened resulting in lost beads. They won't even send new beads because "1. you didn't buy warranty (for our junk) and 2. it comes from China and that's too far away to order beads." Seriously!!?? Everything you sell comes from China.  Can't even wear as junk jewelry to make giver happy. Without the beads I can't have someone else rebuild with high quality thread & chain and soldered links. And cut off that ugly chain hanging from hook. I was going to remake so not to hurt feelings of giver but they won't replace beads let alone the necklace. Fake "gold/silver" comes tarnished or happens soon after. Friend spoke of flower figures supposed be hand made from Italy...they are molds, someone's hands only glued 5 chunks of boring shapes together onto the base. A child could create the whole thing. Binoculars are utterly useless, were also a gift as they assured best anywhere (assurance never goes as far as a warranty). Such severe haloing couldn't tell actors apart. My original cheap ones perfect for decades. Called..."no you didn't buy warranty, and it's a little past return date"....like how often does anyone go to a really important play needing binoculars? Besides if I buy warranty I'm the one guaranteeing not you. Worst is no returns, you must buy your own warranty before receiving....of course they're not going to warranty stuff...they already know it's junk. So you instead of they are guaranteeing their wild claims that they won't send you falsely advertised trash. Only guarantee customer would normally buy is extended when their guarantee ends after couple years. They bombard us with daily phone, email, & snail mail offers to buy more.  How do people not see reviews & avoid them a common scammer.  The only glowing ones come from themselves. We ordered a pair of earrings and they were back ordered. We ended up moving so I reached out several times to ask if they could change the mailing address and never got an email back nor did anyone attempt to contact me. I couldn't even cancel the order. Needless to say when the order finally did ship, it shipped to an address I no longer lived at. My only saving grace was that no one moved into where we had moved from so I was still getting informed delivery emails and was able to drive over to pick up my package. We will NOT be ordering anything else ever. read more

I saw the Stauer Jet-Setter Chrononograph Watch in one of there magazines sent to my house. It looked good and price good so i ordered it When it arrived I opened the box and looked at the watch. What I found was that it was 1 1/2 inches to big for my wrist and also did not work. I sent in a complaint but never heard back from them. They want to charge me $10.00 after I use their return label if I send it back. I would rather throw it out then send it back. Don't order from these crooks, they sell shoddy products and don't respond to complaint. Curtis B read more

They completely took advantage of my 95 year old Grandpa. He ordered 913.00 worth of garbage jewelry and they also charged him 99 dollars for a membership he didn't even need. I returned 2 of the 3 items and 3 weeks after receiving it via tracking I still haven't gotten a refund. I emailed the customer service email 5 times and every time I email them I get an automated response saying, " We will get back to you in 2 days" only to never be contacted. Sadest Customer Service I've ever seen. Do not buy their junk! If you have any issue, good luck getting help or a response! read more

I was in a commercial for Stauer, and I must say it didn't go so well. I got a "diamond ring" as my payment and it was a FAKE! Of course, I don't care much about the pay, but you guys care about the jewelry. 3 stars because you were ok with the commercial. read more

Well. After 2 months, the order was finally filled. VERY poor job of following up and keeping me in the loop. Order was done in mid May and just now (end of July) getting both my orders filled. It's not so much that the order was delayed but I think they did a VERY poor job communicating with it's customers. This is the fault of the company, not the people. It seems like there's a weak link their supply chain. Worse yet, my shipping was supposed to be free on at least 1 of those orders. I was charged on both. Bottom line. Unless you can't find a certain coin elsewhere and you want it that bad, you might want to go elsewhere. As far as being kept in the dark about my order status, they mastered that. Post card was sent to inform me but on calls I was given different expectations. The one star is for the people who have to deal with this company's disorder. How they deal with that is beyond me. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and company. I've purchased many items over the past few years. All are - OK - not great. But when a watch I purchased for my son broke within a year, I wrote to Stauer seeking help. Their answer? "The product is off warranty and we don't carry it any more." That's it? No "I'm sorry?" No suggestions for help? No discount off another product? I will never - EVER - purchase from them again. read more

Mostly mail order where they advertise in low price magazines that you read at your local barber shop before a haircut. They have an interesting collection of "vintage" watches and jewelry. Sale people are very polite and can take your order over the phone or you can order online without any interaction with Stauer staff. Despite all their claims on appraised at $400 and save $350, buy for $150 marketing tricks is sort of an insult to the average person buying any products. I did order their vintage watch and it does look like it does in the magazine. The watches are made in China so they are less expensive while quality of build is poor. It's okay for having something unusual that you can't find in normal watch and jewelry stores, but not some rugged enough for every day wear. Lastly, they bombard you with their catalogues and junk mail that is ANNOYING JUNK MAIL! I would rather they spend less time and money sending their ANNOYING JUNK MAIL and lower their prices of imported products from China. The price of their products have increased with the amount of junk mail that I received. For this reason I'm giving it 3 Stars, but I don't want to encourage them to send more junk mail by purchasing anything more from them... but I will lower them to 2 Stars if they send more junk mail with their *CHEESY* catalogues, with corny made up fiction stories to boost sales. I haven't bought anything from them in over 3 years and they send me junk mail as if I'm their "exclusive client". If you order from Stauer, ask that you get off their junk mail list! read more

Scammer deceives by false advertising and bait-and-switch. The necklace we bought earlier this month turned out to be a scam. Ad we believed states, "The intricate metalwork seen here is Italian Byzantine design at its best. Covered in 18K yellow gold, the traditional woven design crescendos slightly at the center for a breathtaking performance." I ordered the 18K GOLD FINISHED STERLING SILVER ARIA NECKLACE, ITEM # 34388 . We planned to give the necklace to my mother-in-law. Now I don't have a gift for her. When we opened up the box last week, we discovered we had been ripped off. There is "silver" coming through the surface on the higher edges. The manufacturing is very amateurish and rough. The heft of this necklace feels like it is plastic! It is a terribly-manufactured item, and certainly not of the look shown in the advertisement and internet promotional photos. And the "silver" has a sort of rainbow shine, looks like stainless steel, very CHEAP! Repeated requests to customer service resulted in form replies and no service nor attention. Tried to return for refund but have not been successful because of customer service negligence or lack of attention. read more

Worst customer service ever!!! They lost a customer... I order a couple of items from Stauer on September 4, 2015 the item was supposed to arrive on September 11, 2015, well this didn't happened... It seems like Stauer forgot to add my apt number to my order and it was sent back! I called customer service first thing in the morning and the guy that answer was still half asleep, he offered no help at all! He sounded miserable... I asked if he could expedite the items for the inconvenience and he said no! Then I asked for a full refund,if you can't be nice to your customers and admit a mistake I do not want to do business with you. Supposedly it takes up to 1 week for them to process refunds, I will follow up next week and if they give me the turn around I will be forced to file a claim with the BBB. What a shame they have nice (apparently) Jewelry. read more

On December 23rd, I was in the middle of a phone order for a piece of jewelry, but didn't complete the credit card information, because I saw something in the description that didn't fit what I wanted. I told the agent "never mind the order." I immediately returned the item and as of Feb 1st am still awaiting a credit. Two agents I spoke to said that the return label I used was for a company they stopped doing business with because their handling of the returns was taking too long. I was told that I need to wait 8 to 12 weeks until the item is returned before I can receive credit. So I do not recommend using this company--poor business practice to make an unauthorized charge to my credit card and then refuse to issue the credit until the item (that I had NOT ordered) is received--and the fault is that STAUER was using a company which was providing poor return service. I as the customer should not have to wait up to 12 weeks for a credit when the error was the company's. read more

For Christmas i bought 5 watches and mostly they wore for gift and I bought the warranty for 3 years replace or exchange but like at 2 months ago to watch broke so I called and they say yes just fill it out the paper on the back of the receipt and send the watch I'll send it in they didn't call me for like 2 months and then I start to call And they said, we were busy for Christmas returning this and that so I ended up calling like a week ago and they say no we don't have your watch anymore so we'll have to give you the refund just for the value of the watch no for the three years warranty that I bought so I'm very angry and disappointed because they were so rude and they make me wait for long time I don't recommend to anybody to business with this company anymore read more

I ordered a Tanzanite Cluster Ring from Stauer, which Stauer claims is originally $795. They were running a "special", and I purchased the ring for $49 plus $12.95 S & H. I received the ring in one week from placing my order. However, the brilliant purple/blue coloring in a quality tanzanite stone was only apparent in 4 of the 13 stones on the ring. The rest of the stones were almost clear, making it appear that the ring was missing some stones. When I examined the ring using my jeweler's loupe, I found 4 stones to be loose in their settings. I am not happy that I received a defective and inferior product, but I would be really upset if I had paid $795 for this ring! Their practices are deceptive, I feel, as the photo's they show are huge, and their descriptions they print are false. I think they should also show photo's of models wearing their jewelry, to give the prospective buyer an idea as to its size. Also, they ONLY show 5-star reviews on their site. I will be returning the ring, at a lost to me of $8 for shipping, for something that is defective! I would not recommend Stauer and I will definitely not be buying from them ever again! read more

I saw a knife advertised in a magazine and called to order. The customer service agent was borderline rude and more interested in pushing his "membership" than just taking my order. After 2 weeks, I called to see why the order hadn't shipped and was told it could take another 4-8 weeks. I was told it was in stock when I placed the order, so this didn't sit well. The knife came today and it's just okay quality. What really got me was the $20 shipping charge. For $20, I expected more secure packaging than a bubble wrap envelope. My dad went on a trip and saw their ad in an airline magazine. He wanted one, so I got him a couple and got one for me. I got suckered in and joined their club for $99, then got suckered further with the coupons they give with the membership trying to recoup the fee, then when that expired in 6 months (fine print) without a satisfactory watch, used coupons they constantly sent. You get what you pay for... Less expensive battery powered watches are literally worth the shipping charge and if you pay any extra, shipping charge is extra profit. The large watches are essentially not wearable due to their size and bulkiness for the most part. Automatic watches look ok, but it was not reliable at all. The renewal fee was charged, but I noticed and quit the membership in time. The one automatic watch I did wear is now unable to run for 24 hrs without constant wear, ran fast 2 minutes daily at first, but can't tell now. Still looks nice, but some design fails (can't read the numbers for date of the month) and the leather band is fraying. Buy a watch if you want, but I recommend you do not join. read more

Been buying for over 15 years. High quality as promised. Looks exactly like catalog depicts. Great customer service when I needed help.

My 97 year old Father-in-law found Stauer's online and decided to order a necklace/earring set to surprise me. Unbeknownst to me, He bought it months before my birthday, which made it unreturnable. I have been in the retail costume jewelry business for decades so I know my merchandise. I was sick to my stomach when I saw the purchase he made and what he paid for it. It was a gold tone simulated emerald set (Helenite) which was over $200. Helenite is a glass stone made from volcanic ash. You can pick up a stone for $10. He was so proud because he said it was on sale from $400. The set from Stauer was something that could be found at any flea market or wholesale costume jewelry district for under $15. The gold tone chain was turning black in many spots. It was a worthless piece of junk. After arguing with the company, they let me "trade" it for another piece of jewelry. I opted for a sterling pearl ring which was very similar to one I had purchased at TJMAXX for $39. My sister loved my pearl ring, so I thought I could give this one to her. When the ring arrived, it looked like a piece of tin foil, it was so thin. It could easily be bent with just a bit of pressure. I thru it away. I finally did get a refund after several threatening calls. I would love everyone to think twice before shopping at this place unless,of course, you have money to throw away. read more

They sell jewelry and watches online. Their web site is slow and not set up well. Provides misleading information. You can't have a different "bill to" and "ship to" addresses, or the system gets confused and the order is cancelled! They also say they don't sell your email address, but thedo sell your mailing address.. On top of all that, their customer service is rude and poorly trained. As soon as I said I had a problem, they offered to just cancel the $600 order.. Go figure. read more

Total scammers, misleading advertisement, totally disingenuous business practices. I've purchased from Stauer off and on and found out only later that the same exact watches sold by Stauer are also available under other brands and for lower prices, so in essence, Stauer seems to only put its name on cheap watches available elsewhere for much less. But that's not what I'm riled up about. Recently, they sent me two coupons of $50.00 each to be used towards purchases from Stauer without minimum requirement. I called them to buy their watch modeled "Signature Skeleton Watch" item number 38642 which is listed for $99.00, so it should cost me around $49.00 after the coupon. But to my surprise, first they add a whopping $19.99 for shipping (that usually comes via the Uin a padded envelope via the USPS), then they add a sales tax on the subtotal and only then they deduct the coupon, so that $49.00 watch ends up costing me around $77.00! When I declined the purchase the rep hung up on me immediately. To the best of my knowledge, shipping is not taxable in any of the 50 states and the bait & switch practice about the discount coupons is something very wrong in my opinion read more

If I could give this rip-off company ZERO stars, I would. My fiance ordered a watch for Christmas that I had seen in a magazine. On the surface it appeared to be a decent watch for a good sale price. It arrived quickly and was packed well, but upon opening it, it was easily twice the size it appeared to be in the ads. I have small bones and it would be way too loose, even at the smallest band size. So we returned it for refund, my MISTAKE! Rather than giving us back the nearly $80, less about $8 for reasonable shipping fee, we were only credited about $50. And on top of the pittance, they took about 2 months to "process" the refund. BEWARE, this company is a rip-off! read more

I received an email from Stauer, "EVERYTHING $19.95 SALE--- Limited Time Offer Use offer code: JUST1995". I tried and tried etc so finally called. Well, only certain items were just $19.95. What an advertising lie and scam. Honestly, if I were a lawyer I'd do something about it. I feel the one star is alright ONLY because it is for the person that helped me. He was very kind and understanding. Stauer itself would get minus 5 stars for false advertising. And minus 20 for wasting my precious time. I unsubscribed from the company's emails. I purchased my first Stauer watch from them 6 years ago - Classic Graves '33 Automatic watch. I saw the ad on the airplane while I was traveling, then I saw it again in National Geography, I just go ahead call and ordered the watch. The story made me feel that I have to get it or I'll regret it. So I just gave it a try. Since then, I have become a Stauer watch collector. I've now have over 25 Stauer watches, and still collecting. But the Graves is still my favorite of all. It is classic and a good business watch and a conversation piece. I've found that when I wear Stauer watches, people will start asking me questions and this helped me to make many sales! My recent purchase is the Stauer Pacifica, which I've got the crème face version years ago. Now that they have made new version of this nice-looking watch, I know that I've got to have it. This watch has unique blue mother-of-pearl face with the automatic movement. It also has a quartz movement dial on the bracelet which is a neat feature for me. As a frequent traveler, this dual-time feature helped me to keep track of time at home and time at my destination. This watch is beautifully made, although I wish they also make it in Black color dial as I can see that it will be very sleek look in the black mother-of-pearl dial. If I have to compliant, that will be the bracelet size was too big. I have a very small wrist size for a guy, so I had to bring the watch to a store to have the links taken off to fit my tiny wrist. Overall, I really like the Pacifica watch. It has very nice stainless steel case and bracelet, and full with features like Month, Date, Day, and a 24 hour indicator with little sun/moon display. Once again, KUDO to Stauer! read more

Stauer - Watches Near Me - Burnsville, Minnesota

This is the first time I have ever purchased anything from Stauer, I was a little bit hesitant since I never order jewelry online. I bought 3 golden leaf pendants and a chain in one set, and I must say I am very happy with my purchase. They look exactly as they do in the pictures. The leaves are elegant and nice-finished. Maple is a little bit bigger than I expected, but I do like it when I wear it. read more

DON'T DO IT! Bought a watch here. These guys are like the old Sharper Image catalogues but without the quality product. Beautiful words, lots of write-up designed to make the product look to be far more than it really is. Madison Avenue hype and puffery at its finest. Chronograph watches frequently have an inner scale marking called a tachymeter which is very useful since it can help quickly determine speeds by measuring times under one minute for an object to travel a mile. My bad, I did not study the photo in the ad closely. I glanced at the marking on this scale and figured I would learn to use it when the watch arrived since they said the watch would be especially useful "in the cockpit ... or in a covert operation" in the ad. Turns out these numeric markings have no meaning, are entirely "decorative" according to customer service. When asked if there was anyone else I could call or write to about the design, the answer was no. To have numeric markings that have no meaning and are just for decoration, is very sad. The reason for owning a watch like this is to use the functions, otherwise we might as well buy a Timex. Using numeric markings as mere decoration seems silly and for me reduces the watch to a parody of the real historical-time pieces that presumably inspired this watch. CONCLUSION: BE CAREFUL Stauer seems to be more about puffing up the image of mediocre products than actually producing and marketing them. Sorry, it was a nice ad, just no watch to match. read more

I am incredibly disappointed by Stauer. I bought a watch online, which came with box and papers. It was a analog digital, and both sides quit working, which a local watchmaker confirmed, not a battery problem. I sent it in to be fixed or replaced, which Stauer refused to do since I had not bought it from the right place. Forgive me, but I did not know. What a rip. I saved up enough to finally buy one from the approved Stauer site, and it came pre broken. How efficient! The second hand was not attached, so I spent sometime moving the watch around trying to see how fast I could make it spin. So I now know that quality assurance or final check is a joke, and is left to the customer. More efficiency from the companies point of view. I am returning the watch for another one. I will let you know how that goes. All they need to do is look at the damn thing, 30sec and see if it works. Easy. But maybe not for some companies. Maybe quality assurance should be done here in the states. With people who care. See my tip below for the update. Edited from one star to 4. read more

This company, and their products should be avoided. The problem is that they spend more money on marketing, fake reviews, and silencing bad reviews like this one, than they do on what you buy . So I have been a big fan for years , but recently have been very dissapointed in their customer service. I watch that I had paid nearly $300 a little over 3 yrs ago had started to fall apart. When I contacted there customer service I was told I had to pay to send it back, as well as $30 to fix it as the warranty had expired ( only 30 days ) when I questioned this, I got a so sorry response, he even told me to look up the return address on the Internet. When returning the watch, I included a letter explaining how dissapointed I was in the fee as well I had to pay again to have the links removed, and in the quality of the product. When I finally got the new watch back...no acknowledgement of my complaint at all! Just a standard coupon if I spent $100 or more!! If you are looking for watches and jewelry that are genuine products of superb Swiss hand made quality, this is not it. It is about affordability and a decent product for what you pay. I was delighted to see that I could track my order (2 items, a watch and a bracelet) and the package arrived ahead of what was expected and communicated. It came is very nice (but not high end) cloth wrapping and "box" (you can check online for this). I am happy (so far) and no complaints. I believe Stauer prides itself in the watches first and foremost. They claim to develop (almost all out of China but with Japanese and some Swiss "movement" and engineering." But do not confuse them with exorbitant and high quality of Omega, Breitling and others. Yes, they are high quality but the prices are ridiculous. If you want to show off those products and pay less, either bargain hard or buy know offs which are usually a very high risk and low quality. So far, I am getting what I had expected from Stauer and will probably buy again. BTW, seems like "complainers" (albeit many have legit complaints to some degree) are all over this. But as it is noted, for every complaint that is stated, there are about 20 that are not... for every complement there are 6 not stated. However, this kind of venue does not attract the positives and why. read more
