We planned this trip as our first anniversary weekend to get away from the chaos of everyday life and it was every bit of what we needed. Unlike other B&Bs, Scott and Loren's home offers a secluded and private setting where you can enjoy the grounds without having to tiptoe around other guests or wait for a good spot on the porch to open up. It offers a level of comfort and seclusion not easily found elsewhere. Their property is amazing with gardens throughout and a quietness you cannot find at other B&Bs. They are incredibly welcoming to their home and go out of their way to make you feel appreciated. While we were secluded from civilization, the home itself offered all of the amenities you could ever need. We especially enjoyed exploring the books on the shelves, sitting on the porch, looking at the many species of trees and plant life, and perhaps best of all Scott's French Toast breakfast. I cannot stress enough just how wonderful our stay was and how accommodating they were to our last-minute changes. We are deeply appreciative for their hospitality and every little touch they put in to make our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be back for future stays.

By the time I checked out, I had several red marks spread to other parts of my body and I was itching. 48 hours after I checked out, I contacted the hotel as I was experiencing intense itching with red marks still all over my body, and they informed me that my room had bed bugs. I asked for even a partial refund, which they refused to give me. All they offered to do was to reimburse me for an "ointment" prescribed by my doctor for the severe itching. I contacted the manager to discuss the cost to exterminate my home, but I did not hear back from anyone. This was a terrible experience followed by very poor customer service. Unfortunately, I gave this hotel a good review before I found out I spent 3 days and nights with bed bugs.
