Employees are very aggressive, argumentative, and very unprofessional; they will inconvenience you trying to get your car. The place is very nasty, very dirty, and very disgustingly junky. I just contacted CEO Michael Thurmond to ask why they let a company operating with a contract to Dekalb County with an F BBB rating and all the bad reviews have such a bad reputation. The black female and that white lady in the office are going to run into the wrong individual. I had to call the police to get my car; they basically were holding it and had the information, just like I told the front office manager she would have karma. Father God is good. She made an error and gave me the paperwork while verifying that my car belongs to me, and she stated with her nasty attitude that she couldn't verify it because she needed a title. I see why her life stinks. You can tell her nasty spirit and struggle to walk. They drove my truck with my trailer and car to the lot, saying Dekalb County Police told them they could do that and didn't have permission; nothing should've been tow. I had valid insurance DCP illegally had my car towed on bias stuff and Dekalb is going to reimburse me. The driver that towed my vehicle caused a lot of damage to my vehicle and when I filed a claim with statewide, It was denied in a matter of minutes. They claimed the driver said he did not make any mistakes towing or loading the vehicle which is exactly what I would expect an employee to tell an employer when having to repair or pay for damages caused by the employee. Then they went and blamed the repair shop saying they must have miss diagnosed issues on the vehicle. What a crock! I will never use them again and will go out of my way to make sure the word gets out on how they treat customers when there are issues. I would highly recommend nobody ever use Statewide towing or any other Welchel enterprise's tow companies. Do your self a favor and call Brown and Brown wrecker if you ever need a tow. read more

My car was tow to this piece of shit junk yard after my car was stolen and wasn't towed until a few minutes after business hours so I came to simply verify car was here but a unprofessional individual wouldn't provide explain their process, or verify my car was at this location. My car was in a wreck and it was only damages to the front grill and bumper. When I arrived to get my car, it looked like they basically dropped my car and let it roll back, hitting and scraping up against another vehicle, causing my passenger mirror to break, scrapes on my passenger side door from the front to the back, and dents on my back bumper where the car finally rested against another vehicle there. Then when asked about it, nobody knows what happened and I was even told to "boil some hot water and use a plunger to get out the dents" THEY caused. Me and my friend even witnessed a worker throw a piece of metal on a car there and when we asked him why, he replied "Ima tell them it's totaled anyway". Absolutely the worst Customer Service. On January 4 2020, my car was illegally towed. The driver was told by the Management staff at the location that I was a guest at the facility and the car can be taken down. The driver wanted me to pay him $150 to drop the car of the truck. I refused and asked the Manager of the location to have him take my car off the truck. The driver stated "he needed money for riding all the way out here!" "Do you know how far I had to drive?" I stated, "I don't care, and I need my car off the truck!" He refused and he also refused to let me get my things out the car. The facility has confirmed they didn't ask for them to tow the car. I guess they wanted a Mercedes to make money with. At this point, I will file a police report for my now stolen car. That's in the possession of Statewide Wrecker Service. I couldn't wait to post a review on Statewide Wrecker Service in Lithonia, Georgia. It's obvious to work for Statewide you need to have a bad attitude, no compassion, no professionalism, hate customers, and hate your job. My son wrecked his car on July 4th and was injured. His stepfather and I had to get the belongings out of his car, sign the title over to them, and pay Statewide $250 to his totalled vehicle. When we walked up to the window, the person talking to my son's stepfather was very rude. She acted as if he was supposed to know the process. She was just damn rude! I called two days later to complain about my experience there. I know it's not going to go far. But, if I complain in writing, words have power. I also shared with them when a person walks up to that window, you never know if someone lost a loved one. When you walk up to Satewide's window and have to deal a bad attitude, you don't understand how that makes a person feel. We live in a time now people don't always follow the rules. The manager puts you on hold and never comes back to the phone. Damaged my car in July 2018 and I am still fighting with them till this day to repair it. It is not Jan 2019. agreed to pay at first and now has recanted the offer. If I could give them a 0 rating I would. The worst service in the world they all hate their job and life because they seemed to really hate being there. No one made you apply but yourself don't be made at the customer for being there. The two ladies at the front could barely work McDonald's. I have road with their drivers before they are very nice with great service, funny how that worked out. The car auctions are held every other Saturday. Cash only transactions! I attended several auctions at this location before I purchased a vehicle. The data pertaining to the cars such as VIN numbers, photos etc. can be located prior to the sale date on the company's website. The same individuals seemed to appear at each sale. The staff is gruff and seasoned. Like most car auctions, dealers abound at this location in large numbers. The regulars are generous with their opinion and knowledge of the cars and condition. I would recommend this site due to their regular clientele and reasonable prices. This is the worst tow company ever! Truly unprofessional and incompetent! My mother's vehicle was involved in a car accident on a Friday night. It was not drivable and the DeKalb county police officer called these clowns to move the vehicle. When the tow truck driver was asked for a business card he threw a temper tantrum and told us to take a picture of the truck if we wanted to know the tow location information. I politely told him that I'd prefer a business card. With disdain the driver finally provided a business card. The next morning, my father went to go get all my mother's personal belongings out of car and was told that he couldn't because he wasn't listed on the title. My mother is on the title solely and was currently out of town. He asked the tow yard representative to provide details on how the power of attorney could be transferred to me since he would be traveling later that day. The lady advised that she could email my mother direct and have her fill it out and notarize the document. My father provided her with my mother's email address and was assured that the POA would be sent. My mother waited 3 days for the POA (giving the lady the benefit of the doubt) and then finally asked me to follow up with the tow company. I called and was advised that they cannot email the POA. They could only fax it. Taken aback by the sudden change in rules I provided an Efax number where my mother would be able to receive the document. The document was never sent. Waited another 24 hours and finally after several calls Nicole, the tow company representative actually attempted to fax the form while I was on the phone. The fax finally goes through. My mother receives it and fills the form with a notary and faxes it back. My mother alerts me that the form has been completed and faxed and asks me to find out if the tow company has received everything it needs. Called Nicole back later that day and she confirms that they have received the POA and all they needed was the vehicle registration. I let her know that I thought my mother left the registration in the vehicle. Nicole replied that they would allow me to get the registration out of the car. I thanked Nicole and proceeded to go to the location to remove my mother's things. This is now Wednesday. I get to the location at 5:45 pm and the lady meets my sister and I at the gate and says we're closed. I'm like wow, okay. Thinking to myself....why wouldn't Nicole or the other lady who answered the phone that dat after I called numerous times not give me that information prior to me coming but I took it as a lesson learned. The lady provides me with the location hours. I advise that I would be back the next day.The next day, which is today, I spend an hour and a half in Atlanta traffic after work to go back to the yard. After waiting for about 20 mins for another guest to be seen, I'm finally up. Guess who's at the window?! Nicole! I politely hand her my driver's license and the vehicle registration (the registration was actually placed in a safe at my parents' residence) and remind her that I'm the lady who's mother faxed in the POA yesterday. Can you believe this lady asks me where my mom was and says that she can't release the vehicle to me because the notary is not from where I said my mother currently was? As if my mother could not have the form filled out and notarized before traveling to another place the day before. I look at Nicole and tell her that I asked her if there was anything else I needed before I left to come here and she said I only needed the vehicle registration. If she had concerns about the notary she could have let me know and so would have advised my mom to stay put until the vehicle was released. I understand that the tow company loves to let a car sit at their yard to rack up storage fees but this is ridiculous. My mother has done everything she needed to do to release to vehicle to me so that I can remove her things and release the vehicle to the at fault driver's insurance company. However, because of greed we have to do this crap over again tomorrow! read more
