This woman did not appear to be part of a service but was with the office but at home at the time. I called the next morning as told and explained again how my cat had had a growth removed from his paw but was now thinning out and we wanted to have him seen so that we could figure out if the cancer had spread (previous xrays said it hadnt) or if another issue was taking place, or frankly, to make the decision no one wants to make. I was put on hold and then a tone deaf woman picked up the phone offering us an appt on Monday. She then said they could only take him if he was "hit by a car". I said "my cat is dying", she clearly had no idea of what I even said to the last person I spoke with on the phone 5 minutes ago. What a joke. Its one thing to be told there arent appts, its another thing to have the rug pulled out from under you at such a crucial time for my loved one. She debated hard enough that I eventually said "I cant talk you right now" and hung up. Not the kind of vet Id ever want to go to. The only reason we called is our previous vet caused an issue for him too. Are there any good & consinstent vets on Staten Island?

Not as bad as the first time. She explained it seemed to be something with the way his skin was on his one leg. I was willing to give it another shot because she was really nice and seemed to really know what she was doing. I text her and she said she was booking a certain amount of time out and that she would let me know. That time came and went, even saw her go to my neighbors who text her after me...nothing from her. I text her to see what the deal was and still nothing. Never heard anything back from her. I just feel that's highly unprofessional. If she was too scared to groom my dog or just didn't want to - she should have said so instead of disappearing.

This review is solely regarding Dr. McBean:…read more My dog had clearly had a stroke. She showed all the signs: sudden loss of balance, weakness on one side of the body, strabismus in one eye. And instead of treating her for a stroke (which, as an RN, I could immediately tell was the case), they gave me worthless eyedrops (that did nothing), and told me "she's old, it's arthritis". I explained that a dog doesn't go from running around and playing like a healthy dog with perfect vision that never had any eye issues one day, to literally waking up the next day shaking, limping on one side, with one eyeball completely pointed in the opposite direction, and barely able to stand. When I sent an email to the vet (Dr. McBean) a week later, stating that the eyedrops have done nothing, she responded with "you seem to be unhappy with our service, so we suggest you find help elsewhere". Brought the dog to another vet who took one look at her, actually listened to what I had to say about the dog's history, and said that considering she's shown no improvement at all, and she went from perfectly healthy to her current state over the course of a few hours, it's not vestibular disease, and shows all the signs of being a stroke. He also said, "we'd need a ct scan to confirm (which unfortunately I didn't have the money for) but a dog doesn't go from running to barely being able to walk over the course of a few hours, because of arthritis." He immediately started her on corticosteroids to reduce brain inflammation (which Noah's Ark refused to do), and told me the eyedrops that were given to me at Noah's Ark were pointless. I've been taking 3 of my dogs to Noah's Ark for over a decade, and never had a problem with Dr. Abraham. But this new Dr. McBean is a joke of a veterinarian. Find vet care (literally) anywhere else.

One day, my dog Roy left leg was suddenly holding on the air and seem pain to put it back down. So I was urgent searching from yelp and called to CompleteCare since it's not far from my home and they have the spot available. Dr. San Giorgio is amazing and knowledgeable. He go through every steps before the process and explain to me why it caused his knee to that. He then did an injection for Roy and said just need to wait till it heel by itself which might take at least few months unless I want to do a surgery which can fix right away. But I don't think it's that seriously to do it by surgery. So I decided to bring him home first and see how it go. Then I brought him back after 10days for recheck with X-ray to make sure his bone doesn't have any issue because he still hanging the leg up sometime. It had been passed like what, 2 months? Finally he's walking like normal but I won't say 100% recovery because he's a senior now. I'll definitely come back for any issue and recommend you to book in advance. Sometime I'm not able to book an appointment and will end up go to another vet when it came to emergency.

My cat has a history of UTI & bladder stones. She had blood in the urine, despite having a full discharge. UTIs can be a life or death situation so I knew that it's important to see a good vet asap. I arrived early and my cat was seen immediately. Dr Caruso is very knowledgeable, experienced and very thorough. Dr Caruso did bloodwork, took XRay and gave me some recommendations on changing her diet and collecting urine for analysis. Also gave her a long lasting antibiotic. The intern and secretary clearly care and love animals and were very concerned for my princess. The intern was petting my cat the whole time which definitely helped keep her calm and not afraid which I appreciate. Price was very fair, and even cheaper than most other places. I'm not wealthy, so any savings is very much appreciated. I definitely recommend this clinic, and am appreciative of all they do for rescues, treatment and TNR (population control of street cats and kittens by Trap Neuter Release method).

She flippantly disregarded me and threw a cocktail of drugs at my pet. She had no diagnosis and refused to take a urine sample at the office. But don't worry she was quick to charge me for an expensive blood test for a rare disease.The cat most likely had a uti- a diagnosable and treatable infection common in male cats. To add insult to injury, it's possible a surgery he had many years ago at this facility may have created this chronic issue. I paid an exorbitant amount of money for 10 minutes with a woman who treated my cat and I like lower citizens. Run, don't walk, away from here. The best part of this visit was the receptionist who answered more questions than the doctor ever could. She was kind, informative and patient with me. I believe her name started with an M. And the doctor in question? Jill Caruso. If you're reading this, Jill, consider a career change considering you hate your job so much.
