My husband and I had a bad experience at Petco in sheepshead bay. We were interested in getting some salt water fish to give life to our living room. After talking with the guy in petco he told us "he wouldn't be able to sell us the salt water fish he had based on the information we gave him " ( we just bought a 10gal tank) That discouraged us so we decided to try Creative Aquarium Nation because my husband has heard wonderful things about them. We spoke to the owner , told him our needs and right away he was able to help us and give us the correct information we needed in order to have our salt water aquarium. He was very informative and knew what he was talking about. He gave us so many options for our tank, the correct filters, which fish should go with which. By time we walked out of his store we felt satisfied, accomplished and more knowledgeable about the fish we got . The major advantage of this entire business that it has on others is that it's an ACTUAL aquatic aquarium/store. You will get a huge slap of beautiful knowledge on fish and marine life. You will get to witness many of Chris's animals that will leave you in awe. Chris, the owner, is amazing at what he does. He makes sure you take care of your animals and recommends the best products for your habitat. The setup is very organized and the aesthetic of the store is beautiful. The beautiful blue neon lights, reflecting off the tanks. You will most likely find anything you'd like, guarantee. Chris is very knoweldgable and a super nice guy, he's very personable and takes his time explaining. He will tell you how to set up your tank as if it was his own. We were setting up a 33 gallon tank we found for free for my son and totally forgot that we would need a base and conditioned water. Chris helped us out and it didn't break the bank at all. But reliable service. Nice saltwater selection along with freshwater. If you need anything specific Chris will find it and order it for you. Chris recently did an absolutely amazing job moving a large 100+ gallon fish tank that we bought off of Craigslist. He cleaned it out and restored it to its original beauty and did a wonderful job setting it up in our house, where it now looks absolutely stunning! Walked into the store and asked for an aquarium stand, but they don't have one for my 20 gallon tank but Chris immediately said "We can customize one if you want." Love this place. Good prices, knowledgeable and courteous. Wish I could give them 6 stars. I do have a small issue though. Their hours. They are not always open the hours listed on yelp. Don't know if that's their fault or yelp lists the wrong hours. I have driven by during hours they should be open and they were closed. read more
