I absolutely love this store! They have such fun items and I always stop here when I need a gift. The staff is so nice and helpful.

If my brain was an amusement park, State Street Stuff would be the souvenir shop. Literally every novelty item you didn't know you needed. Pops figures? Only the coolest ones! Cake pan? A mustache one will do nicely. How about a Pikachu bank? Or a horse head squirrel feeder? I truly wanted one of everything. The employees are nice but like I've said in the past, the maintenance on the building could use some work. Hopefully they'll actually get to it. read more

If you ever wanted to see a physical representation of my mind, this place is it. Everything but the kitchen sink, no real organization, but still able to function on a near magical level. Ever want a pen that yells "NO" at people? Have need of a crazy cat lady action figure? Mildly insulting bubble gum? Well you do now and this is the place to find it. It's like Willy Wonka and a Crack Whore had a baby that spews awesome. You'll never leave the store with out something you never knew you needed. I must agree with a previous reviewer ---- this store is an awesome addition to downtown St. Joseph! It is full of unique out of the ordinary trinkets and gifts. It's a nifty gift store with anything and everything! I loved their selection and the prices seemed reasonable. The staff was also very friendly and unique. read more

An eclectic, humorous, and fascinating collection of unique items that you won't find in any other local retailers. You'll see retro memorabilia, gag gifts, kitschy items, current fads, apparel, and more. The store is packed to the gills, which is probably the shop's only obvious downside -- it can get pretty cramped if the store is busy. For Saint Joseph, the prices seemed extremely reasonable. After intending to buy one gift for a birthday, I left with $50 worth of items. Another customer had walked in while I was checking out. The other customer chuckled at a particularly goofy item I had in my hands, to which I replied, "I didn't know I needed it!" And that's just it. There's nothing here you *need* from State Street Stuff, but there is a lot here that you will want! read more

True, the items this store carries are amazing themselves. But what set's it apart is the owner/operator. This woman knows her product and she knows customer service! She has the perfect personality for running this type of off beat, kitchy, slightly irreverent type of store! Be forewarned though that sometimes this means she can get "caught up in the moment" and conversations can go on a tad longer than they probably should when she has other customers waiting to check out :) But this is totally NOT a deal breaker! The only other tiny "knock" is that if there are more than 5 folks shopping at one time, things tend to get a bit crowded in her small shop. But as long as you are comfortable occasionally bumping elbows or shimming past fellow shoppers, it's all good! This has got to be the coolest store ever! Every novelty item you can think of is there. The store has a cool "Hippie" vibe and the staff are really cool and helpful. Take your time when you shop there because there is a lot to see and purchase. Hope someday you can open a store in Nashville. Just when you think you've seen it all - you walk into this store and realize you haven't even come close! And here it is, all conveniently gathered in one place for you. I agree with the 3 previous reviewers - this store is awesome, full of whimsy and charm. Something here for all ages. Great store to buy fun gifts for that person who has everything - because I guarantee you you'll find something here that they don't have. Be sure to bring your sense of humor - If you're looking for b-o-r-r-r-i-n-g, you've come to the wrong place! To enjoy the full experience of this store, be sure to budget plenty of time in your schedule - there's a lot to see - and even after you think you've looked at everything in the store, the friendly staff will point something out to you that you missed -- and of course it will be exactly what you were looking for!
