Small operation by one guy. He does the work. An excellent job. He really stands behind his work. High recommendation

DONT WAST YOUR TIME. We took a pottery class with Biana at the end of September/early October 2025…read more At first, she seemed kind and personable, and the initial class itself was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the experience after the class was very disappointing due to a lack of professionalism and communication. It took a long time and multiple attempts to reach her to schedule glazing. After we completed glazing, I reached out again on December 17, 2025, to follow up about picking up our pottery. I received no response--no call, no text--until today, January 14, 2026. When she finally responded this morning, she asked whether we had even done our glazing, which was frustrating given the long delay. I attempted to call to arrange picking up my pottery, even in its unfinished state, but was told she was closing her shop and that I would need to reach back later in the evening. When I expressed my concerns about how long this process had taken and the lack of communication, I was met with dismissive comments and was even told that I was being "dramatic." This was especially upsetting, as communication was prompt at the beginning when payment was required. Due to the ongoing delays and poor communication, I no longer wish to retrieve my pottery. I am writing this review to share my experience so others are aware before booking. I also noticed another review describing similar issues, and I wish I had read it beforehand. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this studio. Sign up with Clay and Play instead!

We booked a private pottery session for our group of 11 on 9/28 and paid $75 per person. At the end…read moreof our initial pottery session, we were simply told to return after four weeks to do our glazing. There was no mention of any limit on group size or that she wouldn't be able to accommodate us again as a group. I reached out on 10/25 to schedule glazing and never received a reply. She finally responded almost a month later -- only to tell us we now need to come back in groups of just 1-4 people. This change was never communicated upfront and is completely different from the private group experience we originally booked. What's especially frustrating is that she was extremely quick to book us and take payment up front, but now that she already has the money, she won't even respond -- not to me, and not to the rest of my group who reached out separately. We're not asking for a refund; we already completed our session on 9/28. We just expected timely communication and the ability to finish our pieces the same way we started: together. The lack of communication, long delays, and sudden change in expectations made this experience disappointing and inconvenient. I hope the business becomes more transparent and responsive for future customers.

Today was my first time trying pottery, and I somehow went in thinking it would be a relaxing…read morecreative moment... it was definitely more intense and nerve‑wracking than I expected. I took the 'Intro to Wheel' class with seven other people. The instructor was kind and hands‑on, demonstrating each step and then helping us individually. There are a lot of techniques to pick up, and as a total beginner I found some of them tricky. Also, it's messy. I made the mistake of showering and putting on clean clothes beforehand--don't do that, it splatters everywhere and you'll want a full outfit change afterward. The class ran a little over two hours, including cleanup and storing our pieces. I managed to make two bowls that I'll continue next week. I paid $225 for four classes including materials, which felt fair. They also mentioned I can come back anytime to practice, but I'm way too beginner for that right now. Free street parking around the studio was easy, which is always a plus.

We had an amazing teacher, Kazuah--friendly, patient, and encouraging--who taught us the basics of handbuilding (pinch pots, slab work, coil pots, mugs, glazing, etc.). Bathrooms on premises, street parking fairly easy, class sizes can vary 7-15 people. All materials are included, and you can make as many pieces as you want. You also get studio access outside of class time when no class is in session, which was a huge plus. The space is peaceful but does get warm, so dress comfortably. I took this class with my husband and mom, and it was a great family bonding experience. They also offer wheel throwing, which I'm excited to try next!
