State Farm Claims: Bad Faith in Action My recent experience with State Farm Claims exposes exactly why so many customers are fed up. My body shop repeatedly submitted documentation for additional approval, yet State Farm dragged its feet, waited until the end of the repair process, and refused to send out an estimator when serious damage was discovered under the paint. The adjuster, Mr. Hernandez, was completely intransigent. He ignored the realities of the repair, refused to pay for alignment, and flatly denied a modest $250 charge necessary to get the job done right. Instead, State Farm expected me to pay out-of-pocket. That's not indemnification--that's bad faith insurance practice. This isn't just my story. Reviews show State Farm Claims holding an F rating, and now I understand why. They refuse to pay fair wages to technicians, deny reasonable repair costs, and shift the burden to policyholders who already pay high premiums. The deeper truth is this: State Farm does not make indemnity central. Their goal is to save money for the guys at the top--like their fat president, Jon Farney--who only seems interested in getting fatter in his pocketbook while customers get cheated. It's important to note: I am not criticizing my local agency. This complaint is aimed squarely at the State Farm Claims Department, which seems more concerned with cutting corners than honoring contracts. And here's the bigger picture. The CEO of State Farm, Jon Farney, has donated thousands to the company's political PAC. While there's no evidence tying him directly to MAGA politics, customers deserve to know where leadership's priorities really are--because from the outside, it looks like profit and politics come before people. State Farm Claims has shown me, and many others, that they are not living up to their promises. Customers deserve accountability, not excuses. #StateFarm #BadFaith #InsuranceFraud #CustomerAbuse #AccountabilityNow #StateFarmClaims #InsuranceScam #PolicyholderRights #CorporateGreed #FightBadFaith #InsuranceAbuse #ConsumersDeserveBetter

State Farm has a lot of reviews and rates one star! Wow! I thought it was just a bad State Farm Agent that turned me off. I had State Farm for years and years insuring both my home and cars. They gave me a package deal. I had safe drivers discounts too. At work I received a lot of training in money management. My employer wanted to be sure we had enough for retirement. So after having training about savings on car insurance I approached my agent to remove unnecessary coverage. It was at this time things got ugly. I ended up canceling my insurance and going with another company that was much easier on my wallet while still providing the coverage required by law. I wouldn't use them again unless they have changed their ways.

Statefarm is trash I been with them for over 10 years. I have an accident on June 9 the liable party didn't have enough coverage so I had to file with my insurance company and dealing with Statefarm has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.... Contacted them on 7/7 and to date 7/26 I still don't have an estimate on my vehicle.. yet they are quick to talk about my rental limits and the fact that I have until 8/3...... this is a freaking joke..... insurance is a big scam and Statefarm is a horrible company.... read more

Update, as of 12/13/2023, State Farm representatives have lied on two occasions, blatantly, with my insurance company contesting a statement by a "case manager," that says they (the insurance company) participated in an analysis that shifted liability to myself in the direction of 70 percent months after we each signed off on paperwork claiming their client's liability was 85 percent. Once again, their client totaled my car from behind at a high rate of speed, coming up the freeway ramp where the parked car was mostly to the right, and where tens of cars filled with safe drivers were passing it in seconds. The blinkers of my car were also on and seen by cameras, as noted in the police report. Once I told State Farm representatives that conversation was recorded, they demanded I sign up for a third-party service so that I could communicate only with that case manager and his subordinates, without retaining proof of the discussions. They also said they would compensate me for damages, only if I was to correspond in a one-page email that removes the many months of communications in which they required me to submit damage photographs, and personal research on replacements. They did not do so. They wasted hours of my time and were so bold as to gain bank communications from me and then quickly submit claim checks that are extreme reductions in the proof of wage loss, taxi, and property damage. Their prior, written and signed off excuse, for removing a large portion of a wage settlement is that I pay for my own gas as an independent contractor/business owner (legally) and that was already reduced as they will only cover a portion of time: prior to when a three-day rental service was provided. Recent excuses, with the case manager that lied about liability shifting from my insurance company, do not hold water, as I used the dates described here, the reduced time period for calculation they require, as well as submitted damage photos, and they could have used those dates too, as they had the bank statements. From the usage of incorrect data for comps to determine my car loss damage, to boldly lying about my insurance company helping them shift liability to me, their job when it came to this case was to look at a car that was destroyed by their client and find a reason to heavily reduce compensation from each direction. They have not shifted their perspective in what their duties are, besides having signed off and sent an agreement to me at the start which said they were there to act responsibly and with fairness. Additional: ______ Yes, that was only 3 days in rental service, with the next step being to find a rebuilt car, salvaged model (the best I could do after many days of research and trips paid for by taxi, this became my life), outside of the comp area from their biased payout and continue paying for taxi. I provided comp data for the same vehicle age and model, and recalls, in that area to them; that negates their false comps. Since this complaint originally occurred in March 2023, they revealed a process of intentional time waste by sending filers to different teams in the same organization. Up until November, they were continuing to use that same exact strategy, promising, defaulting on a promise, and then lying elsewhere. read more

Claim representatives are uneducated, can't answer questions. On hold for two days over 1 hr 30 minutes. Then a rep put me on hold for 38 minutes never returning. The claim has been open since 02/28/23 with no movement or settlement. They keep waiting for a part on international back order and out of pocket rental car is over $3,000. Tori Fox read more

I would rate this lower if I could!! State Farm could start approving obvious claims that were filed under their coverage. My entire neighborhood got sever hail damage and everyone in the neighborhood - that didn't have State Farm homeowners insurance - got their roofs replaced. The damage was well documented and established roofing companies could not believe how State Farm was acting. The word is getting out because we were in the yard today and were approached by a roofing company and when we said we had State Farm he just smiled and apologized for our troubles without even talking to us. State Farm is terrible!!!! read more

My Son and I were in a hit and run accident on December 26, 2023. In the state of North Carolina in the capital city of Raleigh, on interstate 440. At around 9:30 PM at night, we were hit in the rear. And my car was pushed from the far left lane to the far right shoulder of the interstate, with only rear end damage. My car is a 2006 Scion XB, and it was crumpled and buckled like a soda can. State Farm has yet to take full responsibility and provide me with the coverages that I need to cover my damages, I also pay monthly and on time. State Farm and its attorneys have launched an investigation against me for unknown reasons. This is what you get when you are insured by State Farm, they are not a good neighbor when it's time to cover the insured. I've been interrogated via zoom as to what properties I own and what work I do, and how many bank accounts I have. State Farm and its attorneys are an investigating agency of some sort, not an insurance company. State Farm also wanted to know how many siblings I have, where my clothes are located how many pairs of shoes I have etc...where my son goes to school, these people at State Farm and it's agents asked me these types of absurd questions. State Farm and its agents told me months ago that they were going to investigate the accident, but they are investigating me. State Farm is concerned with where my business is registered or was first formed, which is in the state of NC my license is current and up to date, nothing in law controls where I live, and how many LLCs you can have etc...I own a property in NC which has nothing to do with the accident. I have sisters in several states and apparently State Farm has a problem with me living with my sisters or mother. State Farm is and has been taking my insurance payments every month while investigating me and not covering my hit and run accident, always get an attorney while dealing with State Farm because they our not your friend and are not interested in your well being. The worst service. A run around with phone numbers and customer service only sends you back to agent who sends you to claims who sends you back to agent. I was sideswiped by another car who was found at fault but had filed a claim with my insurance. I never filed a claim and State Farm paid out nothing to either of us but because the claim was filed by the other party, within the first 2 weeks of opening the policy they decided to cancel my 2 car policies. I tried to appeal with underwriting...no phone number nor person to speak with...just a general letter of refusal and no way to escalate to underwriting. I am going to write to the CEO Michael Tipsord if I can find his email or phone number. Very angry at them. read more

Harassment and discrimination of customers that have paid them thousands of dollars. Unexpectedly raise your rates out of no where , say its due to rising cost even though they're the ones petitioning to raise those costs stating its for expensive repair costs yet when a deer hits your vehicle and you are in fact covered with the appropriate policy they give you the run around, flip flop back and fourth, they send you to get an estimate of repairs and then they wont send you a check or total your vehicle out when its totaled and they then say you're not covered and you spend years trying to get what you have paid for insurance for and in that time they discriminate and harass you, some also help others stalk you. read more

I can't speak for other State Farm agencies, but this is for my agency in Hallandale Beach Florida. The worst. They lie! They screwed up my initial policy. They have been trying to correct it for the past year. I was constantly getting extra charges being put on my account. I was told they were getting fixed. I was also sometimes told to just pay them and I'll get a credit back. I was told that a check was mailed. I didn't receive the check. Agent checked with headquarters and told me a new check was being mailed out. I never received the check. I kept following up with the agent to find out where the refund was. She sent me to a new agent who said there are no refunds! I have all the emails from original agent going back-and-forth stating that she was on phone with headquarters, check was being sent, etc... This was just one of the issues with this company. I opened a case with the billing department through the agent over a month ago. Nothing has been done with it. Every time I inquiry about it the agent tells me nothing has been done and the case is still open. I'd also like to add that the problem that started this whole thing, according to new agent, told me that the first agent didn't do her due diligence. I also have my umbrella policy that more than doubled and part of my agents explanation for that was because they didn't put the proper information in the system. read more

I recently changed my auto and home insurance policies to State Farm beginning April 1, 2024 for auto and April 10 for my home coverage. On 4/27 I received a cancellation notice from their Corporate Headquarters cancelling my auto because of Kia's anti-theft deficiency. In March of 2023 Kia fixed the flaw and I sent the receipt to the local agent for comment. As of four business days later, I have yet to hear from the local agent. If a deficiency is corrected, I cannot fathom why the coverage is cancelled. I live in a very safe area well outside crime-ridden Chicago. I spoke to a colleague yesterday who had his Kia stolen in Chicago and extensively damaged in 2023. I asked what insurance company he uses. His reply, "State Farm". This is absolutely unfair. read more

State farm is getting out of control or is it the state I'm in ?? had an accident since September 9,2023 it's now February 2024 and State Farm still haven't fixed my car but yet still I have to pay $437 every month. This is high way robbery and fraud on all levels . They send an adjuster to my home without my knowledge or consent compromising my safe place , The agent that I got the insurance from is of no help and give little or no help. This is so wrong for customers to pay their hard ear cash for a service abd when something happens the company refuse to compensate I consider this to be a SCAM!! At this point I'm seeking legal actions because my life is risk because of driving a car that is not safe because of State Farm refusing to fix my car . read more

I Have been a loyal State Farm customer for the 15 years. At which time I have done one claim, someone hit my parked vehicle. On 2/23/2024 My car suddenly died in the middle of the freeway, It took State Farm 4 phone calls and 4 hours to get a towing truck to my location; talk about incompetence! First call, I shared my location and 2 hours later I learned that the towing truck was unable to find my location. Second call, shared my location and was told that I was told that I was on private property and needed approval from the police Dep. Kearny police came and I was fine because I was on the side of the road. Third call, The person called me a sweetie and I asked politely not to call me that, she hanged up on me. Fourth call, jet again another inept; I finally lost my cool and I promised they would hearing from my lawyer if a tow truck did not get to my location in the next hour. The tow truck arrive 35 minutes later. 1 hour later I cancelled my policy. I'm done! read more

I have been with State farm for almost 20 years someone went into my storage unit where I live stole all of my stuff out of there left the place a mess I file a claim when I got back from London and the adjuster has been very arrogant has been very degrading has been very condescending to me about this I have a police report I have all the documents she asked me to sign and now she is pretty close to discriminate I know she's violated the Department of Insurance rules when it comes to Fair practices please advise I would not ever recommend State farm for anyone. I have filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance in South Carolina and for those of you who are having some unfair practices with State farm I would recommend that you reach out to your department of insurance and the state that you live in and file a complaint to get the ball rolling I will post this review on every social media app there is hopefully someone from State farm will resolve my issue. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DRAG CLAIMS ON FOREVER. They are like a home invader, not a good neighbor. I have a home insurance claim. I was moved out of my house in July. I am a number. All my emails are ignored. I email because calling is just a voicemail nonstop. My claim is a year in 5 days. They tried to say the claim was $15k, closed the claim and tell me to get mitigation in and a contractor. I did that. Got a mitigation company. Had 18 contractors through. Very long story short, A MITIGATION company FINALLY came in, but they GUTTED my home. 3700 square feet of studs and subfloors. They moved me out in July. Other than mitigation NOTHING has been done. They moved me 35-45 minutes away from EVERYTHING we do on a regular basis. They moved me from having everything high end to an apartment grade place and everything is cheap and I was told I'd be here 9 weeks. But I'm on 7 months. Since the "local" adjusters been assigned, I have only talked to her on the phone a very few times. All of my requests, calls and emails go ignored. Oh. And I still have a summary of loss of $15k. My job, with all the mitigation, will be about $900k!!!!! Been a customer for almost 20 years. Never did a claim. I am livid! To top it off THEY TRIED TO CANCEL MY POLICY WHILE MY HOUSE IS GUTTEDD (It won't allow me to put 0 stars so I had to put 1. ) Contractor came in and finally have quote and used the State Farm approved contractor. Now they are saying it will take ANOTHER month to get Contractor Connection involved YET AGAIN (after never calling them back so they were no longer involved and closed their involvement in my case) so now delayed AGAIN. IF we are par for the course, a 30'day delay means 60-90 day delay. Long story short. I am going to completely lose my house. And State Farm DOES NOT CARE! They put millions into super bowl commercials to claim "like a good neighbor State Farm is there." No. No they are not. That is false advertising. This has been a COMPLETE nightmare!! Oh! And I DID get a lot of people involved and got really loud with my renewal. So they renewed me as my house isn't insurable stripped to the studs. But I now pay an additional $900 a year for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

update on the insurer from hell, state farm insurance: after stating that our totally-valid auto stolen-contents claim would be paid, state farm adjuster alexis (whom this insured could never button down) ignored the additional ephotos she herself had requested (indeed, it is hard to send ephotos of missing items, as she undoubtedly knew) and wrongfully denied our claim -- by sending a three-month-old letter a second time, while not even having the correct name of claimant-car owner in her obsolete letter! on top of all that, my own allan sarafyan state farm agency dumped me for taking up more than my share of their time trying to correct all of the endless errors and omissions their agency had made! state farm insurance also refuses to tell me how i can participate in their annual meeting, which is the right of anyone insured by a mutual insurer. all in all, a horrendous experience by a horrid insurer -- beware state farm, they are like the worst neighbor you can ever imagine! read more

I recently had a claim and needed a rental car and state farm had to change my rental fee. While going through this I had to deal with claim agent by the name of Scott Huxtable he was very rude and border line prejudice. When asked to speak with his supervisor he instantly got angry and hung up in my face. I have been with State farm for over 15 years and I have to say being hung up on by someone who is supposed to be professional making sure that all my needs are met it says a lot about this company. I refuse to spend my hard earned money with a company that will hire people like Scott Huxtable. Really, State Farm? My vehicle's re-sale value will be affected thanks to you and your allegedly industry practice. 'We get a lot of unhappy clients because of this, but that's how it works.' When I ask to escalate my call, 'Talking to a manager won't make a difference.' Said two of your own people while talking to them and trying to get a reasonable explanation. Poor customer service. STRIKE ONE! (And please use the recorded conversation for your training purposes.) My extended warranty will not cover future issues of parts because of your unwillingess to pay for OEM parts. Therefore, all the effort of me keeping the originality and value of my car gone down the drain, even though it is your client's fault and not mine. Not to say that you rather spend more time and money fixing a junker part such as a bumper, hood and headlights, rather than use new parts. Poor Return of Investment. STRIKE TWO! You say these parts, even though they are recycled, will have a 1 year warranty. Well, that is great news! But, what if it stops working/operating after two years? You won't cover the cost of fixing it. And guess what?Neither my extended warranty because you were so cheap to use a recycled part. STRIKE THREE! State Farm, you really know how to NOT win a potential customer for your portfolio. You say I need to pay the difference in cost for me to have new parts in my vehicle. Way to go! YOU ARE OUT! read more

I Will never use this company ever again!!! I traded my truck in for a new one, it took them 1 1/2 hours to get insurance transferred over the phone... (which never happened). I traded the truck in December of 2023 and they finally took it off in March of 2024... after many times going into the office and being lied to, sent me statements on the old truck, that went to the dealership auction and was on a buy here pay here a lot. I had enough of the BS I canceled my policy and went to a different company. it has been over a month trying to get my money back from them, they even prorated my policy on the truck I did not have. What a bunch of cheaters, liars, and thieves they are. Please do not use them! P.S. I saved $784.00 with a new company with the same coverage. read more

The corporate life forms at State Farm Insurance REFUSE to answer my simple question. Why do you donate Mi$$ions to unaccountable non-profits, political campaigns and special grant programs while relentlessly raising premiums? I had to file a case with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to even get in contact with them. They sent one BS response that had "NOTHING" to do with my question, that I refused to accept, so they told BBB they are no longer responding to me. (I have it in writing) I am a paying customer of theirs and they feel I don't deserve an answer but, BLM associates deserve to be rewarded with 100 Mi$$ion while they helped, pay 2 Bi$$ion dollars in damage claims, during the "Summer of Love" REWARDING those who caused Bi$$ions in damage that "State Farm and other Insurers" paid claims for is a CRIMINAL ACT. read more

My SF agent caused my registration to be suspended, State Farm Corp has ignored me, and their security staff threatened me by US MAIL. This is how they treat a 10 year, 2 policy client. I called State Farm (SF) Owner/Agent Brendon Walker (BW) of Las Vegas, NV for a simple vehicle transfer, but he dated it wrong and the DMV refused to accept my proof of insurance. The DMV, Brendon's office and I called him for 3 hours and I had emailed Brendon that morning before I went to the DMV. I know he heard the DMV and his office's first messages, but he ignored us anyway. I'm so embarrassed, I didn't know that Brendon stormed out of his office to feed the monkey on his back, and he doesn't like to be bothered until his staff told me. The next day, I sent Brendon and staff a heartfelt thank-you but Brendon Walker is so full of piss and vinegar that instead of correcting his error, he held me and my two policies hostage for 90 days until our country closed, the DMV suspended my registration and fined me $500. I contacted SF Corporate dozens of times and begged them for help, and they ignored me. I'm 68 and terminally ill, and after 10 years and two policies, State Farm Corporation has ignored me for TWO YEARS!!!! I've never had a bad word with anyone at SF until this. During Brendon's 90-day Kamikaze run with my registration, he called SF Security and told them, I was calling him names, and they didn't ask him why, instead SF Security sent me, the nastiest threat to call the police BY US MAIL!! Then he went to his new job at Allstate, and told them I was calling him names. He brought his old job baggage (me) to his new job. What a horrible company! As a contractor and someone who works with many different insurance companies for our clients, State Farm is the worst. I have never seen a company go so much out of their way to make sure the client does not get paid enough for an insurance claim. Most of our clients have to pay out of pocket to have their insurance claim covered. We have had clients sue State Farm because of this and have been without a home for over a year. State Farm puts more money out to prevent paying their clients than they would have to pay for the fix in the first place. Needless to say, State Farm made sure not to pay our invoice because in "their opinion", it was unnecessary and their was no contract with the homeowner. Services were rendered by the homeowner which we, as a small business, require payment for and need that to stay afloat. You have big wig State Farm that pushes people like us down for what? They are greedy and legislation needs to finally put something over home insurances heads. Ridiculous read more

No matter how many photos of the damaged floor, contractors' statement regarding said floor damage, we are still denied coverage. Instead you took A CALL from his parents who then got you to question whether you issued the policy correctly 10+ years ago, when he was on his deathbed and I was taking care of him. Interesting how you could change the owner of the policy over the phone without the owners knowledge or approval a week before he died. And now you continue sitting on that money and not paying it out. Cool that you thought you'd 'make the courts' force us to agree to split it. I have records of all of this and can provide proof. Make it right, or I will make as many people aware of this as is in my power. read more

I've been a State Farm customer for over 20 years, ever since I could drive. I had to file two claims due to water line breaks in the condo complex in which I live, one of which was denied and the other I received less than $300 on, and then received a letter in the mail informing me that my policy is to be canceled at the end of October. I tried calling State Farm corporate, but couldn't seem to get the underwriting department on the phone, so...if this is how you treat loyal customers after 20 years, my business is better served elsewhere. read more

Many years ago, in another state, we'd see this guy driving a truck around town with a big homemade sign reading: DON'T BUY STATE FARM INSURANCE! Recently we found out why. I paid cash for a custom car. Within 2 months it was totalled by a young lady who blew through a stop sign and admitted fault. Nobody disputed she was liable for damages. Getting a settlement took 5 months. Everytime I called, I talked to a different person. They kept talking in circles, playing games, claiming some other person forgot to follow up on something but they'd handle it. My lawyer told me I shouldn't need their help with this, but eventually they contacted their corporate office to inquire as to whether we needed to file a Bad Faith complaint, whereupon they began taking my claim more seriously. Even though their insured was covered for 20K in property damage, they refused to settle for more than 60% of what I paid for my car. My attorney told me I could fight it, but it would be in the court over a year and the extra money I'd get would be less than their fee, and advised me just to bend over and take it. This is an incompetant and dishonest firm selling an inferior product. I could sue the girl who hit me, but the roads were icy and I liked her and do not want to subject her to that. Lesson learned. read more

State Farm commercials boost, that they are a good neighbor and are there for you. They lie! False advertising! We live in Wichita, Kansas. My husband has been with State Farm for OVER 40 years for auto coverage. In 2014 we added homeowners and a second car and rental property. Our local agent is great. Good customer service, quick to call back with answers and always helpful. March 11, 2021 we received a letter stating that "insurance coverage is no longer acceptable to State Farm Fire and Casualty Company because of your overall claim activity." We had two hail storm claims one in 2015 and 2020. They paid out a little over $16 thousand for the both. We had a window broken in our car, but we did not claim any personal items as the amount was way under our deductible. So they listed that as zero paid out. But they list it as three claims in seven years! Our local agent who has been a "captured" agent for them over 50 years tried to discuss their decision with the Underwriting department, they basically said to stay out of it! The letter was signed by the Underwriting Department. Where is the loyalty? They are so devious they can't put a name on the letter or a phone number to call. (Not that it would do any good) They don't have the guts to take a call. Our agent had the decency to contact us prior to receiving the letter to give us a heads up. Lessons learned: Don't expect loyalty for longevity or good payment history, don't call the claim number on the insurance card, call the agent first. read more

State Farm insurance just dropped my 89-year-old little mother because she had three claims in 5 years! One of the claims was a zero claim amount and all we did was call and check our coverage because we had a busted pipe but they paid nothing and we paid for it ourselves. Our area State farm agent is wonderful and his wife and assistant in the office of always been so kind and caring about my mother knowing her age and how long she has had coverage with this company. But that doesn't matter to State farm because they're in the business for money as are most businesses....HOWEVER!! States need to take a stand and protect the elderly against large corporations such as this! There should be special circumstances and evaluations for claims for the elderly maybe over age 70 or so? State farm insurance paid on two claims and we paid the other one and they dropped her! What is the state of Indiana doing about this? This is not only happening to my mother but this is happening to elderly and folks who have unfortunate circumstances all over the state of Indiana as well as many other states in our lovely country! On Sunday we came home from church to find the ceiling in the kitchen on the floor! We reported the accident but did the work ourselves and initially they denied the claim and we had no idea why then they went back and did some kind of audit and call this back and helped us. Mom and I let that one go it hurt us because we thought our insurance company was not going to stand behind us but after they find out that they done wrong and we're still under coverage? Will they rectified that one. In December there were 60 to 70 mile an hour wind gusts and the siding came off of the house and my mother's so proud of her home so we called and made the claim to get it fixed and they dropped her. THIS SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW! THIS IS ELDER ABUSE ON AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT LEVEL! THIS HAS CRUSHED HER LITTLE SPIRIT, NEED HER AFRAID THAT SHE IS UNWORTHY OF BEING INSURED AND SCARED TO USE HER INSURANCE EVEN IF SHE WILL GET MORE! AND THIS ABUSE OF A CORPORATE POLICY WILL NOT GO UNMENTIONED. AND EVEN WORSE YET! (YES IT GETS WORSE!) For me to call the insurance commissioner for the state of Indiana to report this bad company behavior would put a mark, if you will, a demerit on the agents instead of a demerit on the headquarters and the mother company of all of these agents! These agents are out here selling State farm insurance and the commercials say we're on your side and we'll take care of you and you can depend on us and then they leave the agents to drop the customers that they've taken care of for so many years! Not a bad thing happens to the actual insurance company at State farm, oh no! The bad behavior is attributed to the agents and this is not fair to them at all! So I will see how this review serves and I will also put this review up on other review sites and see if the company headquarters will review its policies on what their disqualification requirements are for the elderly across the United states! ESPECIALLY FOR THE ELDERLY! ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S WEATHER RELATED AND IT'S NOT LIKE WE TOOK A TRUCK AND DROVE IT THROUGH OUR HOUSE AND CLAIMED THAT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! No this is just a company out to take monthly premiums and then drop you if you need them too often. State farm claims that my mother made three claims in 5 years and one of them they didn't pay a cent on! Pretty savvy business practices, wouldn't you agree? I loved our agents but the behavior of corporate headquarters is reprehensible and needs to be reviewed in every state where State farm offers what they would call good coverage. Senators and congressmen? Would you like to protect the elders in your state? I'm asking you to review the policies of any insurance company offering protection, or what they would call protection, for the elderly in the state of Indiana and across the United States. We lived our Greenwood agents and State farm insurance needs to recognize that policyholders know that the agents will get punished for the company's bad behavior so I will not name them but I am certainly going to call out corporate headquarters for their unreasonable and uncaring attitudes about those they insure and that especially includes the elderly. Thanks for reading. read more

As a long-time customer, it's long past time for State Farm to discontinue using Aaron Rodgers' services as a spokesperson. He has spread medical misinformation and lied to his team and to the public. Aaron is not an appropriate person to represent State Farm. It's disappointing that measures have not already been taken to remove him from advertisements. State Farm's corporate response about Aaron is abysmal and shows their lack of values. I've canceled all my policies. read more

State Farm is Tragically-corrupt, and dishonest. I started doing comparisons online in mid-October. I got a quote of something in the neighborhood of $40 or $50 dollars from State Farm. I called in to the Agent, and She said That'll be $200+ (Almost just Shy of $300.) I said there Seems to be quite a disconnect between what I was Quoted, and what you're Trying to Charge me...and, I don't think there is any way even to Bridge the gap, because you are just too high. She said "Wait a minute, Sir. There seems to be a problem with my Computer system, that is just the numbers that it Autofills-in. I was within milliseconds of hanging-up. We eventually did, however, get it down to $67. She still had all kinds of junk coverages, I had Never asked for, that she threw-in. I was happy (Sorta) with the $67 dollar rate. A few days later, I asked why we had the Uninsured/underinsured coverages on there, If I had never asked for them. I also Asked, why the Property portion was Raised without my consent, on Each of the Cars. She said she will remove the UM, and have it backdated to the Beginning of the policy, as it Should be. I said great, Thanks!! Weeks went by, and I kept asking, about the UM being on there. She said Fine, it has been taken off and I backdated it. That never happened. I called in for weeks, kept asking why it's Still on there. Nothing happened. This, After I was told it was *ALREADY* Removed!! If it is already removed, why, then, is my rate exactly the same? It didn't make sense. She stopped answering my Calls. Such a Simple request, right? Messages to her State Farm portal were Never answered. So, I emailed her repeatedly, over the course of eight weeks, 'No Response'. "Like a good neighbor, state farm is there." I also left Voicemails, which were Never returned. No email was returned. No phone call or message was Returned. Complete Radio Silence. Why, then, is is so Impossible to remove coverages that I had Never Requested, and explicitly said I didn't Want?!? She Constantly Tried to Upsell me. That was before she Stopped talking to me. Constantly. On Everything. She Added Stuff to my Homeowners' policy, Also, without my Permission. Things that I also didn't want, and had never requested. I Figured-out, that I would have Better Luck, in communicating with Another of her Staff. This worked good, for a Little While. They had me send them back these forms to Reject UM (Why, do I even need to Sign these, in the first place?) Okay, sent them back immediately, and she said she's get them over to Underwriting, and they'd remove them from All cars, and once again I was promised, in Writing, that it would be Backdated back to the beginning of the Policy. Well, you guessed it, That never happened, and, Once again, I was Left with Empty Promises. AGAIN; Days turned into Weeks, Weeks Turned into Months. And, I'm back at Calling them up Again and doing My Own Following up... for Them. It turns-out, it was Never applied. Now, my premiums went up by an Astounding 50% ...maybe This is retaliation?!? Why not went down, why went Up?!? A Marked 50% Increase, This, despite the Fact that I *Literally* am not Driving *any* of my Cars, Just in time for the Holidays state farm decides to rip us Off. Great! No Explanation was Given. We believe, She 'deliberately' Sabotaged our Premiums, so that she could get a Hefty Commission. At the Expensive, or her Own customer! Merry Christmas. A second Agent's Office, asked for the Same Forms, and Supposedly Sent them in. STILL** no change, after two months of Fighting this! Wait, after numerous More inquiries, I'm told that they Selectively-applied the UM to Just one Car....my cheapest Car! Ha! How do you Like that? I submitted the Forms for All three cars, at the exact same time, to numerous Agents, and what do I get? A partial decrease, on just One car! What! WHY?!? no backdating, STILL, to Speak of. This makes zero sense, why they would do This. Well, it Does, if you think State Farm is Just out to Scam people for the holidays. I called-in to State Farm, on the 17th of December. The representative that Answered sounded so Incredibly Supremely annoyed that I had bothered her. This, is before I explained any of the Details! She listened to my Complaint, and Said she'd get me Right-over to an Agent who would help me, and we cold, Finally, get some of these Issues resolved. "Click!" Call dropped, with a thud. This, apparently, was Deemed a 'successful' resolution phone call, by State Farm. I was given an opportunity to leave feedback on the Call, after this Disconnection which I previously had Opted-in to. I left all 1-Stars, since the agent Really didn't Help me at all. ...Nobody ever Reached-out to me on this. Merry Christmas To date, State Farm has never Once honored the Terms of all of their written, legal documents. They have not held up oral Promises. Or emails in Writing, from Multiple Agents). We never got any of this promises. Nothing, Just Lies. read more

9-10-2014 YOU ARE THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH State Farm!!!! I have been a loyal customer for almost 10 years, and the way you have treated me during these past 3+ months is DISGUSTING! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I was in a horrible accident on May 29th that caused STRUCTURAL damage to my BRAND new vehicle. State Farm was told by the collision shop that was doing my repairs that under Nevada State Law this vehicle has to be TOTALED! State Farm said "WE DONT CARE WHAT THE LAW SAYS AND TO FIX IT!" Now during the repairs we have found out that my vehicle has a bad wire harness and computer and has the possibility of catching on FIRE! Still you harass the collision shop and say " NOW YOU NEED TO BRING IT TO A CAR DEALERSHIP TO GET A SECOND DIAGNOSTICS TEST DONE" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Do you think this is a GAME?!? So now the harassment continues and the car was towed to a dealership due to the fact that it is not drivable because there is a chance it can catch on FIRE! Now the dealership does the diagnostics test and the results are the SAME! Now not only does the dealership say this car needs to be totaled, but several of YOUR adjusters, my attorney as well as the collision shop has said this REPEATEDLY, but yet you have the audacity to give the green light to have my car torn a part to put in a new wire harness and computer system! OH DID I FORGET TO MENTION THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PUT IN OVER 10K for the repairs from the initial damages? Now we are at over 17k for the amount of damages, (WHICH IS OVER THE 65% OF THE ACV of the vehicle, by Nevada standards) and not only are you trying to put me back into an unsafe vehicle, but you are treating me as if my peace of mind does not matter and your little slogan of "YOU'RE MORE THAN A POLICY NUMBER" IS BULLCRAP! You have stressed me out to the max with this when this ordeal could have been taken care of in a matter of weeks not MONTHS! I HAVE BEEN IN A CAR RENTAL FOR 3+ MONTHS DUE TO YOU GOING BACK AND FORTH ON WHY MY CAR SHOULD NOT BE TOTALED. I have been harassed by Hertz Rental Car saying that the rental car is missing due to me having it for so long and they were going to have the police come after me and repo the rental car due to your prolonged unnecessary harassing process. GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU LIKE TO VIOLATE THE "INSURANCE FAIR CONDUCT ACT"!!!! YOU HAVE COST ME SO MUCH STRESS AND STRIFE OVER THIS ISSUE AND I WILL TELL ANY AND EVERYONE I KNOW WHAT A HORRIBLE INSURANCE COMPANY YOU ARE AND HOW YOU TREAT YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS! ***UPDATE 9-11-14 State Farm AND JOE HOOKER YOU ARE DISGUSTING PEOPLE! Do you enjoy harassing your customers and treating them like they are yo-yos? Do you enjoy putting them through psychological changes? How dare you call my attorney and dealership telling them at 9:54 am that you are FINALLY going to total my vehicle only to call back at 2:30 pm to say "OH NO ITS NOT GOING TO BE TOTALED BECAUSE WE ARE GOINGTO OPEN A SEPARATE CLAIM FOR THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES" ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW? This is how you are trying to weasel out of totaling a car by opening another claim? Have you gone BONKERS? What is wrong with you? I guess you just enjoy taking our hard earned money for our premiums only to screw us in the end huh?!? YOU ARE HORRIBLE AND DONT WORRY I WILL BE TAKING THIS TO ALLTHE NEWS CHANNELS HERE IN LAS VEGAS AND WILL BE REPORTING YOU TO THE BBB, FOR YOUR PRACTICES ARE SHADY, YOU JUST LOVE ADDING MORE STRESS TO MY LIFE HUH! YOU ARENT GOING TO STOP UNTIL YOU LAND ME IN THE HOSPITAL FROM ALL THIS STRESS YOU ARE CAUSING ME. I AM NOT A YO-YO, I AM A HUMAN BEING!!! Start acting like a company that cares about their customers instead of caring about YOURSELVES!!! read more

Avoiding Customer Service at all costs. My son was in my truck when hit by someone insured through State Farm. After several days of no contact, my insurance company asked me to contact State Farm directly because they would not return Progressives calls. When I finally reached someone after several attempts and hours on hold, I was informed that State Farm was waiting for a statement from my son and the police report before determining liability. Both statements were lies. There was no police report because this occurred on private property and State Farm made no attempt to contact my son or myself. After taking my sons statement (and another 40+ minutes on hold because they would not give a direct #) They assured my that it was their goal to determine the case as quickly as possible and they would contact me when that was ready. Several more days later, I fought through the hold line again to find that while they had all required information, they had not made a determination yet for unspecified reasons. The representative put me on hold again and finally accepted the liability because their insured driver had stated they had turned into my son who was already traveling in the lane! I used the repair shop they suggested for the estimate, and said I could make it another day or two without a vehicle because they assured me the process would be resolved quickly now that liability had been accepted. After receiving the estimate and hearing that the shop would be unable to make the repairs for over a month, I contacted State Farm again, who said they could pay the shop directly and set up a rental, for a month, if that was what I wanted to do. I said I needed to talk to the shop and see if there was a way to expedite the repair and gave State Farm the information to send a check to me. After talking to the shop, I decided to just have the estimate payed out and try and find a faster repair or a replacement vehicle. I called State Farm again and was told this was no problem and would be handled within 3 business days, as State Farm needed to verify no parts had been ordered by the shop before processing the payment. I canceled the rental as they now said they could not provide a rental if there was not a repair being made (though I have been without a car for almost 2 weeks). After 3 business days with no payment, no phone call, and nothing happening, I called back again and was told that I had never set up the payment, that the check was sent to the repair shop anyway, and that if I wanted to change anything I would have to wait 3 business days to allow State Farm to contact the shop and make sure no parts were ordered. I asked to speak to someone higher up, and was told they would initiate a request and that would take 48 hours. I am on day 17 without a car. State Farm, who has accepted liability, has NEVER contacted me. I am constantly misled, lied to and made to wait longer...as though I might just forget about the broken truck in my driveway as I walk by it on my way to walk wherever I need to go. IF you want to encourage slow, disrespectful, service that lacks basic integrity, you might consider using State Farm. If you ever need to be made whole by them and are not their customer, you should consider a lawyer from the start and save time. Worst insurance experience ever!!! read more

From March 18 to March 25, 2021 Dothan, Alabama had very bad weather which included multiple Tornadoes. My Agent Blake Guy and I have been trying to contact these people with no avail. As of today's date, April 12th, 2021 I still have not heard from neither Charles Smith nor Carey Remo (972)-657-2004. I have called continuously leaving message after message and neither have returned my call. I have even called supervisors, leaving them messages and still no one has bothered to return my call. State Farm also sent out their adjustor from Hancock Claims Consultants who stated that there was a lot of damages to the roof caused by the storms and that shingles are missing. I've gotten them several estimates and informed them that it continued to rain for the past few days, that my roof needed to be tarped. Not once have they given anyone the consent nor approval needed to get the repairs done to my home to prevent further damaging. The is now a foul mold and mildew spell in my home and they still have not sent anyone out to inspect it. Due to my medical conditions which outline asthma, having to use a c-pap and inhaler, the smell of the odor makes me sick to my stomach and interferes with my breathing. Finally they sent out Daniel from Servepro (334)-796-0768 who stated that his sense of smell was off, that his co-workers often asked him how he couldn't smell what everyone else could in a room. He was nonchalant about the smell about the mold and mildew smell within my home. Daniel from Servepro also stated that he was too big to crawl around in the attic to find the source of the smell. He only stood at the top of the stairs and looked around the garage area of the attic. Daniel's only concern was trying to get $800 from me to clean out my vents. Just like State Farm, these people only care about the money coming in. They do not care about what we are paying them to do. State Farm collects plenty of money from me every month from 10 different policies and is about to lose them all. The full repair of my roof and because of their lack of concern which caused the mold and mildew smell, to find the source of the mold and mildew smell and repair it as well. I am attaching the estimates to this complaint. My next step will be to seek legal counselling read more

Do NOT add their Roadside Assistance rider to the policy. Based on my agent's recommendation (Steve Goad), I chose to use State Farm's Roadside Assistance instead of AAA. Recently, my daughter hit a road hazard, that blew out two tires, so she needed a tow. She called State Farm Roadside Assistance thinking that they would tow the car, we would repair the tires and that would be the end of it. They sent Anytime Towing (Knoxville, TN). The driver refused to tow the unless State Farm authorized the tow, claiming that the incident had caused damage to the car. When she called State Farm back, some agent name Bryan refused to authorize the tow unless she opened a collision claim. Since she was stranded in an unsafe part of Knoxville, she had no choice but to open the claim. The tow truck then LEFT HER STRANDED because his contract with State Farm only covered roadside assistance, so State Farm had to call a different tow company. State Farm did not give the second company sufficient information so they send the wrong equipment, resulting in an additional delay getting her off the road. The driver of the second tow company (Western Towing) was exceptionally professional and concerned for my daughter's safety, but told us that he could not help us with roadside assistance because his contract only covered collision incidents. (It seems that State Farm uses its roadside assistance drivers to increase the number of collision claims for minor incidents) If our roadside assistance coverage had been with AAA instead of State Farm, there would not be an at-fault collision on my daughter's insurance record because I would have covered the cost of the two tires and alignment without making a claim and State Farm would never have known about the incident. Given that in the 5 years we have had the coverage, we have called for dead battery 3 times and a lockout 1 time. In all four instances, it took more than two hours to get assistance. In 3 of the 4 instances, I managed to resolve the problem before help arrived. If State Farm is a good neighbor, I'm moving to a new neighborhood! read more

This review is about the parent company Please share this with everyone you know. So here's my short story. I've been with State Farm for all my insurance needs for going on 20 years. In that time period there have been a couple of fender benders but most were not the fault of my family. In October my youngest got his license and promptly was cut off in a parking lot causing him to scrape another car. State Farm revoked his B average good driver discount and raised our insurance immediately instead of waiting until the rating period was over. Then in April Sean's car lost power on a downhill grade causing him to total it (2007 Pontiac G6). We explained the circumstances that caused it and requested their investigative unit check to see if his car SHOULD be on the GM ignition recall. They promised me a full report of the findings. A few weeks later they declared Sean at fault. And did not provide the investigative report. When I complained they finally sent it. After reviewing their report and discovering the magnitude of their investigative incompetence I filed a grievance with State Farm explaining the recall specifics to them as it was clear their investigator did not even read the recall to see what causes power failure. While waiting on them to review my claim the underwriting department informed my agent that effective July 1 we had to drop Sean from all our vehicles. At this point they had not even responded to my rebuttal. Here's where it gets really freaky!!! A few days ago they responded that based on the facts I presented regarding their investigation they have reversed their decision and declared Sean NOT at fault. I immediately contacted my agent to get the underwriting decision reversed. I was just informed that underwriting essentially does not care that the fault was reversed and they are refusing to reverse their decision. So State Farm can kiss my ASS!!! I will drop everything with them effective midnight June 30. They are definitely NOT a good neighbor. Buyer beware!!!!!! Please share this with everyone read more

It was not Jeremy's fault. In general State Farm is a horrible company. Now that my account is closed with State Farm I will say that my husbands truck was stolen, found, and it has taken 3 months to get the account settled. By settled, I mean completely 100% in State Farms favor. The claims handlers were so unhelpful, unintelligent, rude, and just not doing their jobs, EVER. We had zero communication through this entire process and we could never figure out why. My husband and I HAD to call them every other day to ever get any information from them and it was always another step that needed to be done, or that the company wasn't currently working on it. We pay our bill on time every month, have very standard information, and we were always misunderstood, never communicated with, never knew what was happening, and they simply didn't care to help us. You would think they would want to get the 3 month long claim our of their queue's but apparently not. No one ever would just help us. Why in the world would it take 3 months for a claim to get taken care of that was so simple? I have been wanting to get rid of State Farm for the last 2 months but were very afraid they would do something else to screw us over. I canceled today and we couldn't be happier to never work with this company again. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy because they simply DON'T care and are out for profit to the company 100%! I think they are "cheaper" than most companies because they have to make up for how crappy they are in every other aspect. Thanks to them my husbands car has thousands of dollars in damage that State Farm "refused" to believe and we will have to be paying out of pocket for most of it. That is INFURIATING when we have worked so hard to extra "goodies" into this car. State Farm took our monthly payments and ran with it. What a joke! read more

State Farm is by far the worst insurance company there is out there! I work in the car business and going forward will advise all of my customers and Dealers not to purchase this Insurance!!!! And it will not be one customer!! I worked with dealers and customers nationwide!! As part of my job is to provide accurate information to my clients!! Statefarm is a rip off!! They contribute to the auto crimes by not processing their claims in an efficient matter, making it worst to their clients and causing more stress!!! They have unprofessional agents, managers, etc!!! They will keep telling you they have not received your fax!! How long does it take to receive a fax?!! Seconds!!! My vehicle was robbed over 45 days now and I have provided every form they have requested...they still have not made a decision making my life more stressfull!! Every 43 seconds, a car is stolen in the United States, with these statistics how can we trust Statefarm to do their job right and cover what you paid for!!! I wish I had never made the mistake of switching my previous insurance with Mercury to this piece of crap insurance. Oh and they do not use email communication! Hmm very smart from their part!! They do not want any written evidence between them and their clients...there's a lot of liability there. Their excuse for security purposes. If you are smart customer I suggest you start recording all conversations, writing down names and times and proof of everything you sent them. I would not recommend Statefarm to anyone! Got all my family to cancel their policies...eight so far and I will continue to do so...Don't want anyone continue to be part of this insurance rip off! read more

I WAS FINED OVER $150 by the NC DMV! I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone! Very poor customer service, and an absolute disregard for state laws and regulations. Two of my vehicles are registered in NC, I was told by the agent that 'that didn't matter'. In the end I was fined over $150 and threatened to have my tags revoked by the NC DMV due to my agents negligence. Agent INSISTS they did nothing wrong and the vehicles WERE legally insured. I had someone from state farm contact the NC DMV on a conference call with me and the NC DMV was VERY clear that this agent was not licensed to ensure the NC registered vehicles. Agent will not return my calls, and refuses to return my premiums? I was told not to contact my agents office anymore because I was no longer a customer (after returning to Geico after realizing my state farm agent had been collecting premiums on vehicles THEY WERE NOT LEGALLY able to ensure.) I have filed a complaint with State Farm, the BBB as well as with the State Commissioner of Insurance. I would not recommend my agent or State Farm to ANYONE. I filed my complaint with State Farm 3 days ago, and really stressed in that complaint that I was looking at a deadline to get the situation resolved. I have STILL not heard a word from anyone at State Farm and we are going on day 4 since my complaint! Just so the public is aware, my agent was NIck Smith out of urbana, IL. I am appalled that State Farm allows their representatives to do business in such a poor fashion. I demand that my premiums be returned, and I also think that State Farm should be responsible for the fines I have had to pay! read more

NEWS FLASH!!!!! Auto Rescue in Lewisville, Texas is very big with a company called Road-America and this company has one of the biggest contracts with State Farm, GEICO & Allstate. All of Auto Rescue's driver's are sub-contractors there very huge in Michigan. Its very sad that if you want to be a service provider for State farm, GEICO or Allstate and if you own a towing company you have to go thorugh alot of paper work. Towing company's have to 1. Company Liability Insurance. 2. Insurance on every vehicle. 3. State Iicensed. 4. Worker's Comp Insurance. And each driver a towing company has must have a Chauffeur license with a medical certificate with a good driving record with no felonys and must pass a drug test just to name a few. What Auto Rescue does in every state is hire Sub-Contractor's just gives them a phone and there is a reason why Road-America has them for starters there service fee on every call is $20.00 and miles to call is free. Towing companys fee's are $32.00 plus only 10 miles free. But ill tell you this if one of there Sub's end up damageing your car guess what your not getting it fixed. Auto Rescue Sub's dont even have car insurance on there cars half of the time. Its all about the bottom line.....With State Farm, Geico & Allstate! Your better off with AAA they do not hire sub contractor's..... read more

Today, June 18, 2019 at 7:15 pm, called into State Farm 1-844 phone number because the online portal was showing no premium was due for both vehicles. The rep gave the amounts due by the 22nd. My dad and I asked what the normal premiums are. He said he wasn't going to research it. He would send a request over to the agent to provide the info. My dad asked why he couldn't research. He just keep saying he could send a message to the agent. My dad asked to speak to a supervisor. He said he wasn't going to transfer and would not. I got on the phone and told him to please get a supervisor because were not getting anywhere. He still refused and said he was the only one we were going to talk to and if we didn't let him speak he was going to hang up. I told him once again we need a supervisor since he couldn't help, so he claim, find the normal premium balance. He hung up. I called back and got another specialist, same department by the way and she gave the normal monthly premium balance. She said she didn't understand what his problem was. I told her I understood. The man was a straight up jerk. She claim she was the highest official in office and she would handle everything. I don't trust anything State Farm has to say. If I find another insurance company, with the same rates, I will drop State Farm like a bad habit. read more

Prior to being rear-ended, my rear bumper was spotless. Rewind to end of May 2012, on a rainy morning I was rear-ended by a woman insured by State Farm. Because I only have liability coverage, my insurance agent stated I would have to file a claim directly with State Farm. I called customer service and every rep I have spoken to were very nice however they don't truly deliver their services as they claim to (ie: state someone will call when days could go by without a phone call). I made an appointment for an appraisal and was informed by the employee there the photos will be uploaded and sent in for review. Later on someone will contact me with further information. Completely different from what I was informed by the rep that scheduled my appointment. It is now July and I am told by the adjuster that because the damages on my car is inconsistent and the estimator believes there were prior damages on my car, they will not be paying for the damages incurred in May. Again, my rear bumper was spotless. And many people can attest to that. I really hate to make a big deal out of nothing but when you're pointing a finger at me and essentially calling me a liar, WE HAVE A PROBLEM. read more

DO NOT buy from StateFarm!!! Very horrible insurance company. They will collect your money and not pay a penny one claims. I had been StateFarm customer since 2008. I had a sudden water slab leak and there was water all over the kitchen and living room area. Their 24 hour service did not send a plumber right away, instead they said to shut off the main water supply and call any plumber in the morning. I called Roto Rooter and the plumber confirmed that it was a sudden slab leak. They brought machines to dehumidify for 3 weeks and re-routed the pipe. StateFarm never sent an adjuster to my house. They just collected photos from me and plumber and denied the claim saying that this was a slow leak. How can it be a slow leak when there was water all over the floor in within 1 hour? All these years, StateFarm charged me over $23k in premium and this is how I got treated. I cannot imagine how can someone sitting thousands of miles away, never physically visited damaged location, never physically inspected my kitchen leak, completely ignored plumber's report and then denied the claim. My damage/repair was $17,850 which I had to pay out of pocket. What a joke this company is. read more

Horrible Experience with State Farm! #StateFarmFail #PrivacyViolation I can't believe how unprofessional State Farm Fire and Casualty Company has been! They violated Ohio insurance laws by willfully disclosing our personal and private insurance information to an unauthorized third party! This is a HUGE breach of trust! We NEVER gave State Farm any authorization--neither written nor verbal--to share our personal claim info with anyone, especially someone INvolved in the second burglary at our business that led to our total loss. This is absolutely unacceptable! It's shocking that a company like State Farm could just ignore proper standards and procedures like this. We're taking this very seriously and have reported this egregious breach to the Ohio Department of Insurance. An investigation into State Farm's dubious business practices is officially underway! Don't trust your private information with them! #BreachOfTrust #InsuranceNightmare #ProtectYourPrivacy @followers @highlight Min M L Kimble Word on the Street Media Group The HCV Store -Swanton HCV Stores TheMinister ML Kimble Word Ttv Street Word on the Street Talk TV Word on the Street Talk TV read more

Bill is a great guy. No problem with him, and State Farm has covered me on several instances, so they are not totally awful. THE PROBLEM here with insurance companies are the "EXCLUSIONS" they have in the policy. So if your pipes leak and you have to re pipe the house you PAY THE $17,000 for repipe, State Farm gives you $2,500 to restore..OH Well, it saddens me, that they spend BILLIONS on adverstising, and "Like a good Neighbor, State Farm is there." Sorry, ugh, NO THEY ARE NOT THERE, they ARE EXCLUDING your problem, YOU ARE NOT COVERED, and OH THEY WANT TO SELL YOU MORE INSURANCE BTW...IT Sucks, as they dragged me through mud when the pipes burst, and led me to believe it was covered, then they did a FLIP FLOP, "Oh, we don't cover the plumbing repairs, it's excluded." WTF DO I have your insurance for, to get insurance, or FOR YOU TO BE THERE FOR ME. IN THe end INsurance is Bull, a big rip off, and the clients get it in the end. BILL Needs to stop trying to sell us more EXCLUDED COVERAGE AND CHILL OUT. Thanks for listening. TICKED OFF AT MY "EXCLUSIONS." OH, they don't tell you about that, it's in the small print and I can't see that good. LOGAN read more

I filed a lawsuit against State Farm in January 2017. I served them notice a month prior to pay the outstanding medical bills from a single visit I had at a hospital emergency room. This was the result of their insured person running into the back of my car while I was stopped at a light. A police person was present at the time and they were found 100% at fault. After repeated attempts to get State Farm to pay the bills, the hospital sent me to collections ruining 40 years of perfect credit. I have a court date set in April 2017 to require State Farm to pay the bills, while I be given more time to verify that I need no further medical treatment. As a result State Farm has lawyered up to try to intimidate me, lied throughout the year I have been trying to work with them, and has claimed arrogantly to be above insurance and consumer protection laws. When I submitted a complaint to the Oregon and North Carolina Departments of Insurance they refused to follow up, clearly showing their bias towards the insurance industry. I would recommend that you do not conduct any business with State Farm or any of its agents and franchises. read more

I am literally and unashamedly disgusted with State Farm. You NEVER pay your claims whether the person is insured by you or not. I am not, thank God, and never will be. Your claimant hit me but because I happen to know one of the witnesses they are not valid because you think they are biased? What...just because your insured lies you think everyone lies? Great to know how much faith you have in people! GARRETT FROM YOUR TEMPE, AZ OFFICE SHOULD BE FIRED! He is the MOST RUDE AND HORRIBLE person I've ever spoken with in my life! And I'm over 50 so....that's a lot of interactions and he is the WORST and most RUDE and DESPICABLE person I've ever come into contact. I get it though, maybe you hire horrible people so you can just avoid paying any money? DO YOU READ YOUR REVIEWS??? Are you NOT SEEING THAT YOUR CUSTOMERS DESPISE YOU? Just call it quits and close your doors already! And if you're wondering, YES, I would tell you this in person and to your face. I would not hide behind a review. I DID tell you this via email, but so far three days and not one response. Great customer service there, State Farm! (LOL) read more

I would not recommend State Farm to anyone. After a recent encounter with a pothole, the resulting damage require that my tire be replaced. In order to file a claim with the State of West Virginia, a letter stating that tire damage is excluded from your policy was required. However, with State Farm, you are required to file a claim with the insurer, which will be denied, yet held against your claims history record for an item which is not covered. After requesting a copy of the policy (which was furnished) no reference to the exclusion of coverage was indicated. A call to the State Farm 24-hour service continued the incompetence of the organization. The representative was unable to indicate on the 80 page policy declaration where the coverage was excluded. The company is very happy to accept my premium checks every quarter but is also willing to inconvenience me when I need their serviced. My neighbor who has coverage from another company had no problem receiving a letter for her tire replacement, yet State Farm is never there when a longstanding customer requires assistance. read more

State Farm proves to be the epitome of disappointment and betrayal. Despite promptly settling my insurance premium upon notification of a lapse, I found myself in a dire situation mere hours later--engulfed in an accident. Yet, what does State Farm, with its so-called reputation as a "good neighbor," do? They abandon me without a second thought. Their adjuster, Julie Wisdom, embodies callousness, lacking not only empathy but also basic human decency. In contrast, had I remained with Allstate, a company I entrusted for three decades, I would have undoubtedly found solace in their reliable hands. But alas, my move to North Carolina led me to the regrettable decision of switching to State Farm--a choice I now rue. Let this scathing review serve as a beacon of warning to potential customers: beware of entrusting your hard-earned money to a company that forsakes you when you need them the most. State Farm's actions speak volumes about their integrity, or rather, the lack thereof. Save yourselves from the anguish and frustration I endured. read more

The people would appreciate the Superior Court Judge, Director of Registrar, Department of Justice Bureau of Firearms , State Farmer Insurance and a few crooked business owners knowingly attempted to conspire against me and prevent my support for a fair elections! They all are Democrats, dislike Google Yelp's R&R, hate Xmas, Ramification will end their careers including the lost of public trust! State Farms actions against me include falsify claim, attempted to file claim as me at fault, rental and repair delay preventing me from having transportation during the 11 days scheduled to work elections and attempting to close file without me having a vehicle! Refused to let me concentrate on elections! State Farms doing this not once , but for two elections and still holding me up from getting justice for the others listed! Their closing of current matter will determine if disqualified from R&R! AAA insurance and Oversight Alex Padilla did not help anyone, but themselves! In God XmasTrust read more
