Highly recommend working with Starz DJ entertainment! Jimmy, the owner, does an amazing job coordinating and is very organized. He comes with lots of experience and knows how to satisfy a crowd. We also requested to have Bobby Bruno DJ and MC our wedding and was everyone had an amazing time Jimmy came prepared with all the uplighting & cold sparks we had requested. Everything he provided was professional quality and gave the wedding an elevated look. He works directly with the DJ to ensure setup and tear down was smooth as well. Prior to the wedding they both had multiple calls and met us in person to review and has our fine details. Jimmy and Bobby were very patient with us throughout the process. Hire them! read more

So amazing! DJ Mike was so fun, personable. Had everyone on the dance floor from start to finish! Great energy and the best music

Hired DJ Jimmy for my husband's 50th birthday bash! Theme was 'Dust off your air guitar - we are enjoying 70s & 80s Rock n Roll.' The party was epic! Jimmy was a joy to work with from start to finish. He was incredibly warm throughout and his love for his job was plain as day. It was apparent early on that he has dealt with every concern you could imagine and was eager to contribute creative ideas such as a newlywed game which he hosted convincingly. The truly standout contribution he made (aside from a wonderful playlist) was an edit he made of The Godfather for my wife's Italian father to create a charming moment between the two of us before the father-daughter dance.... he, of course, loved it. I would recommend this man to anyone who needs a DJ for any occasion. Thank you, Jimmy, Trevor & Hannah read more

My wife and I were in Phoenix for a wedding. Well it turned out to be the best wedding we've ever attended. DJ Sonder had a big role in the success from the pre-wedding music to the Wedding, MCing and the dance floor. This wedding was amazing! The dancefloor participation was full on and DJ Sonder was A+ from knowing peoples names to keeping the party rolling. I highly recommend DJ Sonder. read more

DJ Matthew Bolt did a wonderful job at our wedding, we're so happy to have partnered with Matthew and Starz Entertainment. Matthew was very professional, was kind to our guests, and executed flawlessly. In particular, we thought Matthew did an excellent job of "making the trains run on time" by serving as the MC and giving directions to everyone. Would definitely work with Matthew and Starz Entertainment again. read more

Amazing experience having Jimmy as our DJ. As a lot of people know, a DJ can really make or break a wedding. Jimmy did an excellent job maintaining the flow throughout the whole evening and there was never a dull moment on the dance floor. The whole day went better than my husband and I could have imagined! I would highly recommend Jimmy! read more

We initially met with Jimmy and really connected with his personality. He was very knowledgeable and professional and matched us with Matthew Bolt for our DJ. Matthew was awesome!!! It was really important to me that my brother be able to perform the song for our first dance. He made it super easy for that to happen. I also had my dad record a song prior to our event and Matthew was awesome at helping us incorporate that into our day. He was able to translate our personalities into the party and made our reception so special! read more

From beginning to end, our experience with Brent and Jimmy of Starz Entertainment was fantastic! It is nerve-wracking re-planning a wedding not only during 2020 but also from out-of-state. Our first interaction with Jimmy was calm, straightforward, and informational. It was clear that he has been doing this a while and knows what he is doing. Then we met our DJ, Brent, what an amazing and engaging person. We chatted via video calls several times to build a rapport and for him to learn our music tastes and give us guidance. His recommended last song was perfect for us. He made our night epic! He kept the music flowing and our guests entertained, he also remembered certain stories to help our honored guests feel special. If you want to have a say in your music but really not have to give it another thought, Starz and Brent are for you. Thank you so much! read more

My wife and I used Starz Entertainment for our wedding in April at McCormick Ranch Golf Club. We met with a few DJ's but knew right after speaking to Jimmy, we wanted him to be at our wedding. Everything went extremely smooth the day of our wedding and leading up to it. We met with Jimmy a couple of times prior to the wedding to discuss details, song choices, etc. We didn't worry about anything because we were in great hands! We highly recommend Jimmy and Starz Entertainment. Several wedding guests also commented how this was one of the best DJ's they've ever seen at a wedding :) He definitely knew how to keep the dance floor moving. read more

DJ matt covered our wedding on 30 September 2017. He was not only very professional but very involved with our guests. He had great ideas to keep the crowd dancing. He had the perfect mix of music with all eras and genres. Matt went above and beyond the duties of a normal DJ. He helped our 4 yr. old daughter (flower girl) when she was shy and didn't want to move down the aisle. Lol While at the head table Matt came over and poured our champagne for us. He is not only our DJ but our friend as well. Thank you Matt for making our special day even more special. read more

We were extremely pleased with the level of service we received from Starz Entertainment. Our first contact was Jimmy, who was very polite. After explaining what we were looking for in a DJ, he suggested that we meet Bobby. We had met with a few DJs before and were a little hesitant and undecisive on which one would be the best fit for our wedding. After meeting with Bobby, we knew instantly that we wanted him as our DJ. We were extremely impressed with his professionalism and personality. He was reliable, flexible, and professional prior to and during the entire event. In addition to having an awesome DJ, Starz Entertainment has an online website where we were able to customize the timeline and playlist. This was an excellent tool that allowed us to adjust it to our personal preference. We would highly recommend Starz Entertainment, specifically Bobby, for any upcoming events. read more

Jimmy did an absolute amazing job as our wedding DJ. It's the only wedding I have ever seen where the dance floor was PACKED all night long. Not only was his playlist amazing, his ability to keep everything organized and on track was very key. We actually didn't have a wedding planner, and without Jimmy there to basically run the show, I'm not sure what we would've done. His assistant Carie was awesome as well. She played a really key role in keeping everything up to speed and organized. We would highly recommend Jimmy and Starz Entertainment! SUPER IMPRESSED!!!!! read more

If I could give a 0 rating I would. After getting a prompt response from the Director of Operations, Jimmy Davenport, and then a quick follow up phone call from DJ Matthew I thought we were off to a good start. I arranged a meeting with DJ Matthew and even prepped questions to get answered. Needless to say DJ Matthew stood us up and after waiting 40mins we left. I emailed Mr. Davenport to explain what happened and instead of treating me like a client and having some sympathy he questioned the events. Oddly enough DJ Matthew decided to text me right after I sent the email; 1 hour after our meet time. All I can say is don't waste your time. They are very unprofessional and when planning your own wedding you should be treated with the utmost respect by all venders. You should NEVER have to defend yourself when, you the client, has been stood up. read more

Jimmy D with Starz Entertainment did a fantastic job providing us DJ services for our wedding and reception. Jimmy D has a great and well-deserved reputation in the DJ community. We are lucky we were able to hire him to DJ our wedding and reception. He has many years of experience and it shows. He was energetic and super professional in every aspect of the planning and execution of our wedding and reception. He answered our emails immediately and met with us several times before the wedding to make sure we had everything set up the way we wanted. He spent hours before and after, setting up to make sure the lighting and sound was the best it could be. He had great suggestions for songs and activities and helped make our wedding and reception absolutely perfect. It was seamless, and everyone had a great time! We highly, highly, recommend Jimmy D and Starz Entertainment for DJ services! read more

To Matt Bolt, DJ, I just wanted to thank you one more time for everything that you did to help make our daughter's wedding just perfect. I just watched my friend's video of the ceremony and I noticed all that you did to get our guests ready for the event, to get them seated and to turn their phones off. The music at the cocktail hour was perfect and the entire reception process was amazing. As soon as I heard Mack the Knife I knew it was going to be a perfect evening. And thank you again for all of your help with the slideshow video. I am so glad that we decided to move forward with showing the video at the reception and we so appreciate the last minute accommodations you made to support that. We are absolutely thrilled with your support and will certainly be recommending Starz Entertainment, and specifically you, to all of our friends, family and co-workers who are looking for your type of services. Thank you again. Barry & Barbara Brandeburg read more

Many thanks to Jimmy and crew at Starz Entertainment. Jimmy and our DJ, Matthew Bolt, were so very helpful and communicated with us all the way up to the day of the event to be sure we were all on the same page. Matthews DJ skills were AMAZING! He kept our attendees moving on the the dance floor and was on point for hitting our required props to the vendor that sponsored the music for our event. We will definitely be using Starz Entertainment again for our next Annual Conference. read more

Parker Jewell from Starz Entertainment did an amazing job at our party last weekend! This was the 4th time that I have used Starz for karaoke/DJ services, but it was our first time working with Parker. He was proactive in communicating with me, and he was very professional. At the event (which was a superhero themed birthday party), he dressed up even though it wasn't required. His costume definitely added to the "fun" factor, and we could tell that he really wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. When he didn't have a karaoke song available in the book, he searched online until he found what the guest wanted to sing. He made the day of several kids at the party when he located a few songs from the movie Frozen. Big thanks to Jimmy, Parker and the whole crew at Starz Entertainment! read more

My Husband and I loved working with Brent Owens and Starz Entertainment for our wedding! Brent met with us a couple times before the wedding to map out all the details and make sure we felt confident and ready for our big day. And when our big day came... it was absolutely PERFECT. Multiple people told us that our wedding was the most fun wedding they've ever been to, and we believe that Brent and Starz Entertainment played a HUGE part in that. Everyone loved the energy, the dance floor was always full (the bass package and light added an extra "umph!") and there were smiles on everyone's faces all night long! We'd definitely recommend them and use them again in the future! read more

Jimmy and Starz Entertainment did an amazing job with our Father Daughter school dance. Jimmy D is the best DJ that you will find in Arizona! I attended a wedding that he DJed and he did such a great job that I booked him when I got married 4 years later! He gets everyone up and dancing, there wasn't a single person in the room who wasn't dancing once Jimmy opened the dance floor! He is so fun, charismatic, and extremely professional. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for someone to entertain guests of all ages, who can control the energy of the room, and who is easy and delightful to work with! read more

Hiring Jimmy D was by far the best decision we could have made for our wedding. From our initial meetings all the way up to our event, our experience was nothing short of first class. He was always available to answer any questions we had. Jimmy really impressed us during our very first meeting when he only had positive things to say about his competitors. The confidence he has in himself and his business shows. Our wedding ceremony and reception were in my husband's parent's backyard. Jimmy worked diligently to accommodate all of our requests. In addition to providing the music he also supplied all of the audio equipment and up lighting. On the day of our event, about 30 minutes prior to our guest arriving, there was a down pour. Jimmy remained calm and collected while he battled the weather. Despite the minor setback, the audio for the ceremony and reception sounded perfect. The way he organized our reception set up the evening perfectly. Jimmy has a true talent, from the first song to the last song, the dance floor was packed the entire night. It was unlike any other wedding I have ever been to. To this day people are still telling us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and that the DJ killed it. It was the best day of my life. Jimmy is a true entertainer and the passion he has for his career sets him apart from the others. read more
